I love the color of this mascara (the brown shade) and the ease of application. I will say it doesn’t do much for volume and the mascara itself feels a bit basic. I use this pretty much everyday since it’s very natural looking. The only issue I have with this mascara is that it caused irritation and a bump on my eyelid on the first day of using it. It hasn’t done that since the first day but still be weary if you have sensitive eye areas. I might keep repurchasing since it’s hard to find brown mascaras anymore but will still be keeping my options open.

Buyer beware! This mascara is truly awful.

Zero stars (sadly not an option here). I hate to be a downer, but this is absolutely the worst mascara I have ever used. Possibly the worst makeup purchase of any kind I've even made (on the advice of the Sephora salesperson in Milan after I'd left my entire makeup kit accidentally on the plane!) The brush does not get cleaned off at all when pulling the wand out of the tube, so the mascara stays in huge, gloppy clumps on the applicator. Even after wiping the excess off repeatedly on the inner edge of the tube opening, it is still a mess. I had to use an eyebrow brush immediately after applying to my lashes just to get off the sloppy clumps. Adding insult to injury, it's not waterproof. It's not even smudge proof. A real disappointment!

Dries fast, major clumps, not buildable.

I used to love this mascara. I’m not sure if the formula changed, but it’s been a year since I’ve used it before recently repurchasing the mascara. Unfortunate, I don’t remember why I even loved it since I don’t like applying the mascara and don’t like the quality.The mascara is not buildable, because it dries too quickly. Also, it easy clumps the lashes. If you try to build more for a longer look, it clumps up but doesn’t lengthen. I don’t recommended the mascara, especially if you’re goal is to lengthen you’re lashes.However, if your goal is to make your lashes darker and thicker, this mascara may work.

Go for the non-waterproof version.

The formula on the waterproof version is very different from the original (which I exchanged this for and quite like, highly recommend the regular Iconic Overcurl over the waterproof version). It's very wet and super easy to make a mess of, I found I had to be very careful in application and still ended up with a mess sometimes. It's kind of clumpy and if you don't wipe off the excess product from the brush you will end up with spider lashes. The tube isn't designed in a way that takes off the excess product, so you have to wipe the entire brush off on the tube or it's too much product. When it worked it looked nice, was very waterproof, and held a curl all day, but always flaked off. Have the right technique

Whoever gave this a bad review doesn’t know how to use it! When I say I am the worst at make up is not an exaggeration. I can hardly curl my lashes lol. But if you use this right 10/10! My lashes point down and this holds them straight all day long! It took me an entire bottle to figure out how it worked but now I have nonclumpy lashes. You have to wipe all the excess off on before using it then use the inside bend part of the applicator to apply. If you go straight from tube to lash it’s a disaster. Since I’ve been wiping the brush off it’s been working great. I guess it’s a good thing because then the product lasts longer but slightly annoying to use.

LOVE IT

I have been looking for a perfect mascara that doesnt smudge since 20 yrs ago! i tried all sorts of brands, you name it. all didnt work, all kept on giving me smudges on my eyes. i even had to stand in front of my standing fan to make sure my mascara was dry enough to continue with my day, EVERY MORNING! I even once used my hairdryer to dry blow my mascara, sound stupid but thats how desperate i was in looking for perfect mascara. finally found this one, the promoter in Nu Sentral recommended me this, i can never thank her enough. she is a true life saviour!

Love this mascara

I had this in the regular and decided to purchase the waterproof. Had extensions and just got so sick of you can't do anything fun with them on, so opted out and went back to this mascara. The look is fabulous and the ability to layer it while it still keeps your lashes separated is great. It can also get those harder lashes on the edges to look more cat eye. Easy to remove but stays put till then. I like it quite a lot. Can go from natural to drama depending on layers. Hooked on this mascara and I have tried them all.

Pretty but not waterproof.... at all

First, I have to say I love how this mascara makes my lashes look. The wand design is *chef's kiss*. I have a lot of really long transparent eyelashes - one swipe and this mascara makes it look like I'm wearing falsies. Why 2 stars then? This is not even REMOTELY waterproof. I actually double-checked the tube itself and my receipt because I thought I had just accidentally bought normal mascara. This mascara is less waterproof than regular mascara I have.I don't think I have unique eyelashes that would somehow render the waterproof technology useless, nor am I diving into a jet stream of water everyday. Just yawning this mascara runs. So.. if you're looking for something waterproof, run away.

best waterproof mascara!!

I LOVE THIS MASCARA!! I hate waterproof mascara, so I normally use tubing ones, but even they smudge a bit during application. This did not smudge or mess up and my eyes water a lot! I use the Dior lash primer first to add thickness bc my lashes are long, but very thin. The combo of both of them produced the prettiest lashes I’ve had in years! I highly recommend this mascara. It comes off with Clinique’s take the day off makeup remover quite well. I can’t sing this mascara’s praises enough. I haven’t left a makeup review in years, but I just had to review this one.
