Christian Dior Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet Eau De Toilette Spray (New Scent) (100ml/3.4oz)

To be perfectly honest, I wasn’t a fan of Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet Eau de Toilette upon first spritz. I’m more of a musky fragrance enthusiast, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised by florals in the past… At first spritz, this very appropriately-named EDT had such a strong floral note on me that I almost washed it off. I’m happy I resisted because Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet EDT settled into a beautifully light, fresh, and oh so slighty musky “bouquet.” There was zero of that sharp, nose-stinging baby powder scent that everyone just loves. As I’ve found with a lot of Eau de Toilettes, the scent didn’t last more than a 3-4 hours, but as it faded, I loved it more. For me, the sweet spot was just under 2 hours. In all, Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet bloomed into a lovely light, refreshing scent. This is one you shouldn’t miss even if you’re not a fan of floral fragrance!

I bought this perfume for myself as a post Christmas present. I have read all the reviews and was convinced that this perfume is really good. When it came, it was packed in a very beautiful and elegant box and I had the bottle personalized with my name it looked so pretty. I love strong smelling perfumes but this one gives me a headache soon as I spray it, even just a little amount. The smell is too powdery to my liking and a mixture of floral and fruity smell, when I read the reviews some said its modern and gives you a youthful smell but it is the opposite, for me, the smell is like the perfume older people wear. I do not recommend buying it without trying it on first. I made a big mistake buying online and just reading the reviews. I feel like half the pleasure of owning a Miss Dior fragrance is displaying the gorgeous glass square cornered bottle on your bathroom counter, boudoir, or vanity. Like tossing rose petals frivolously about, this scent trails a fragrance of love wherever you go.

The note the first time I spray is totally mandarin/orange. It does smell like the orange for your room; it’s making me dizzy to be honest. But, it is only like 1-2 minutes! Indeed you must be patient with perfume, because sometimes they have surprise for you. The main note, it is of course floral (that’s why I bought it). For me it is more peony than rose (rose is just a small hint) and it’s also a bit fruity sometimes, depends on the weather. I smell peach and apricot mix with peony. It’s pretty smell, but not my favourite because it’s sometimes a bit cloying. In the end, one of my favorite smell shows up; it’s the musk. I would give this perfume 4 stars, if not for the eau de toilette. It is just stay a while on my skin, I think around 2-3 hours. So a blink of an eye! It’s not so worth it with the price.

Now if you haven't smelled Blooming Bouquet, I can only suggest that you get a sample and try it out. It's amazing! Initially, I did smell the rose and germanium, however the germanium was far more overpowering. I'm in my forties and never had a "signature scent." After many years of trying different samples, I went with Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet, and I've stuck with it ever since. It goes on strong (I do one spritz in my hair, then one on my wrists that I rub on my neck), but the dry down is almost immediate. I'm a very "one note" type of person. I don't want 50 things in my perfume. I gravitate towards vanilla, powder, jasmine, and peonies. This is a great combination of "soft peonies", with a dash of lily of the valley and jasmine underneath. I get compliments a lot when wearing it, and it doesn't smell too old fashioned or have a sharp alcohol scent.
