We purchased the XL ChuckIt Ultra Ball for our Border Collie/Boxer Mix to teach him how to play fetch. Not only does my sweet Pup love to chew on all the toys we get him, including tennis balls squeakers but he absolutely shreds all of them! He physically destroys and tears them apart! This toy however actually withstands his strong bite. He loves to play for hours and for our family, itās so fun to play fetch and watch him bring the ball back āŗļø The ChuckIt Ultra Ball is a fetch enthusiast's dream. The high bounce and buoyancy of the ball add an extra layer of fun. The vibrant blue color also makes it easy to spot, and the compatibility with the ChuckIt launchers adds an exciting twist to our game! This is by far my dogās favorite toy!!

TLDR: 10/10 size, 10/10 bounce, 10/10 durabilityWe have a 16 pound dachshund and got the small size. It is perfect for him. He is literally obsessed with these balls. He carries them to what we call his ānestsā (a random patch of grass he picked, favorite blanket) and will protect them like they are his tiny orange babies. It is hilarious and sweet. He has played with these for 72 hours straight I kid you not. He freaks out if heās away from his balls for more than literally a minute. Idk what it is about them but he loves these things more than cheese (which is saying a lot). Heās been chewing nonstop on them too and thereās no sign of wear. These are a new staple in our house.

Duke would be sad without Chewyās deals on balls! He recognizes chewy boxes. When we receive a Chewy package, are dogs knows it has balls inside. They get excited. We have 4 GS, everyone receives new toys.Thank you Chewy for having such a durable, dog ball. We order xtra lg for large breeds. Bright color is helpful to.I highly recommend this toy!

My blue heeler/shepherd mix absolutely LOVES squeaky toys and balls and fetch, and this combines the best of all three into one. Even better, this ball can fit into the Chuckit! Launcher! My boy can't be trusted with regular tennis balls because he will destroy them in less than a minute, and the Kong squeaking tennis balls just don't hold up to his jaw strength (and obsession). Unfortunately, my dog is very serious with his squeaking and ball game, and will squeak this (very high pitch) ball non-stop for hours, which, understandably, eventually either busts the squeaker or pops the squeaker out entirely. Thankfully, with the former, the "swish" sound the ball makes is just as satisfying to him as the actual squeak, for the latter, it's usually easy to just pop the ...Ā MoreMy blue heeler/shepherd mix absolutely LOVES squeaky toys and balls and fetch, and this combines the best of all three into one. Unfortunately, my dog is very serious with his squeaking and ball game, and will squeak this (very high pitch) ball non-stop for hours, which, understandably, eventually either busts the squeaker or pops the squeaker out entirely. Thankfully, with the former, the "swish" sound the ball makes is just as satisfying to him as the actual squeak, for the latter, it's usually easy to just pop the squeaker back in and feel safe to let him still play with it since it's still attached to the ball (thus, not a choking hazard). Because it (usually) still maintains its integrity, and because my dog probably obsesses over it non-stop more than the toy is intended to be played with, I'm still giving this a 5-star rating. Absolutely love this ball, and I always buy a new one as a present for my boy whenever I happen to see it in stock and I want to reward him!
Usually Chuckit products are really good quality but this time that was not the case. One of the squeaker balls must have been faulty because the squeaker mechanism came loose after 5 minutes play. My dog (a Kelpie/Fox Terrier mix) loves fetch particularly with squeaker balls, so this was a little disappointing. No more squeak noise in this ball, just the slight rattle of the squeaker mechanism inside the ball after only 5 minutes. The squeaker in the second ball is still working perfectly following many, many hours of dog play.I am grateful for the Pet Circle sale so I didnāt pay full price for this Chuckit Ball Ultra Squeaker pack, but I canāt really recommend this pack given only 1 ball is working as stated.
My Wesley is a rescue pup and really likes to chew āsquishyā yet firm balls. These are just the right consistency and, unfortunately, a tad too small for him where he can get it lodged in his throat so I have to watch him carefully. A ball a bit larger in a two pack that gives him a little resistance AND where I am not replacing them every week, a squeaky option would send him over the edge with joy! My recommendation is for yes with a caveat for small dogs. Wesley is about 60# so these are probably good for dogs less than 25# or so. Donāt want to worry about it getting lodged in their throats. Ugh.
My aussie used to go through a pack of tennis balls every other week or so until I found these Chuckit balls. I'll never buy another fetch ball. He absolutely adores these. They are soft enough for him to gnosh them in his jaws, bounce extremely well, and even float. They are tough enough however that in 3 years I have yet to see my dog destroy one through use and wear. The only reason that I have been through 2 dozen or more is because of the extreme bounciness mentioned earlier; the balls can, and often do, bounce very high and in odd directions, and in my case have a tendency to sail off into the void, never to be seen again.Dog destruction: noLost in the void: yes
Iāve bought dozens of these balls for the Chuckit over 10 years. Eventually they kind of disappear on the property under leaves or in brush etc. My only complaint was the orange fades very rapidly if left in the sun, but they were pretty indestructible. But, now there is a clear change for the worst in quality. The seam of the ball as two halves are glued together is noticeably raised and sometimes not even aligned to each half. You can count on the ball splitting after a number of throws. This is not a matter of the dog doing it with their mouth and after all the ball is meant to be caught and retrieved by a dog. Clearly a de-evolution of ball technology and cheap low quality manufacturing. If Chewy allowed photos, Iād be glad to attach. First I thought it was a bad batch but now I see this is the way they cheaply make them now as ball after ball has split. Far from Ultra for sure.
These are my labās FAVORITE balls. Well tbh itās a 3 way tie between these, the glow balls, and the squeaky rubber balls all from chuckit. I like that the solid ones float. The glow ball and the squeaky rubber ball sink in water and I hate losing them. The slobber basically dries off every time you throw it and itās not as destructive on their teeth as a tennis ball. My lab prefers the large size but she also has some mediums (standard tennis ball size) which work too but I worry about choking more with the medium and it doesnāt have any holes for her airway if she were to choke. So supervise closely if thatās the case with your dog! Size up as you are able to prevent the ball going too far back. Just food for thought- these are a GREAT buy. Last forever too. I first purchased at big box store and my pup loved them. I have a bad back and wanted to avoid constantly getting down to retrieve these from under furniture( they WILL roll under everything constantly) so I bought 8 more from Chewy along with a bed for pup baby. Again they WILL ROLL UNDER EVERYTHING in the house so either be ready for that or order many and just WATCH YOUR STEP walking around the house,LOLOnly negative which could be a deal breaker for some...the blue stripe on the "stick" version of these toys is made of additional rubber that is formed into the orange ball and my dog was able to remove the blue rubber and ingested the small rubber bits. I induced vomiting with hydrogen peroxide and she evacuated all the bits so she wasnt harmed but that could ...Ā MoreI first purchased at big box store and my pup loved them. I induced vomiting with hydrogen peroxide and she evacuated all the bits so she wasnt harmed but that could have been BAAAAD. I was aware of the potential problem once I inspected the toy before allowing her to play and blame myself for not being diligent when I noticed the blue part coming loose. It took quite a bit of work on her part and I could have retired the ball and just given her one of the others to play with. For the cost vs fun I just bought 8 balls and will throw them out if she penetrates the rubber....which did take weeks of hard chewing to accomplish on the "stick". TO CLARIFY the ball version of the toys in the review HAVE NOT come apart yet after several weeks of daily use but there are 8 in play at any given time.
