Citizen Queen Perfume by Juliette Has A Gun, First released in spring of 2008, Citizen Queen by Juliette Has a Gun is a mysterious and alluring yet playful aldehydic chypre fragrance for women. The opening notes are a fresh effusion of powdery, floral aldehydes mingled with bergamot and soft, sensual leather. Orange blossom and red rose emerge as the feminine, floral heart develops, joined by warm, woody tones of iris, creamy tuberose and the honeyed tea nuances of immortelle flower. The dry down is graceful yet bold, combining lightly animalic notes of ambroxan and labdanum with cozy vanilla to produce a delicious light musk finish. Romano Ricci, grandson of designer Nina Ricci, established Juliette Has a Gun in 2005. Ricci originally planned to release a collection of five fragrances under the brand, each a distinctly modern composition based around the scent of rose, the quintessential flower of romance. The first two perfumes in the collection were the complementary, dark and light rose scents Lady Vengeance and Miss Charming (2006), followed by Citizen Queen (2008), Calamity J (2009) and Midnight Oud (2009).
