I wish I can get this by the gallon and just soak in it. The way it makes me feel so moisturized and yet not greasy or gross. I absolutely love this product. I use it every morning after my serum. Sometimes I'll put it on my arms because it turns it into newborn soft feeling like skin.

I had used the predecessor to this product for years, I loved it. The new version is awful, it leaves my skin dry, sensitive and red. I wondered if it was just me but having read the other reviews, it seems like other loyal users are also disgruntled. My skin's reaction to this new product is so bad, I am now looking at other brands. Such a shame.

My long term foundation does not apply evenly over this. This new emulsion does not make my face feel moisturised so I’ll be cancelling my repeat order and search for a new product.

Other reviews sounded good so decided to try.Can’t stand the strong smell. Thankfully it dissipates after a couple of minutes. The cream does seem to moisturize ok though soI’ve been using it for touch ups over my regular daily moisturizer. However, I would not purchase this item again. I should have tried a sample first.
Used the hydra-essentiel lotion for over 10 years, bought the emulsion and I don’t like it. It’s watery and doesn’t make my skin feel moisturised. It sits on top of my skin. Sorry Clarins I liked it better before. I bought 2 not realising it had changed so will return one and start looking for a new moisturiser.
I’ve always bought two Hydra-Essential SP15, to ensure I never ran out. Consequently, I have only recently found out about this the discontinuation of my moisturiser. Thankfully, I tried a sample of its replacement - Hydra-Essential [HA2], which is terrible. What is the reason for change, and please do not redirect me to the cream. Was there market research done on this? And if so, which customer would seriously think it better to remove sun protection and opt for this non absorbent liquid?
I’ve aWays used your hydra essential moisturiser but thought I’d try this product. It’s 75 ml instead of 50 and a pump which controls how much you use what could go wrong,Since I started using this emulsion my skin has developed spots which are now great lumpy blotches. So disappointed! Can I have my money back please,
The cream is nowhere near as silky as the hydra predecessor and dropping the spf is backwards. I'm guessing hyaluronic acid and the spf don't mix? The cream in the tub is better (thicker) but I like using the pump for ease and hygiene. So disappointed and after 10+ years of using clarins I'm now looking at other brands. I'll potentially switch all my products to the new brand once I find it.
Clarins seems to have forgotten those of us with normal-combination skin types."All skin types" usually means it's too heavy.. I too have used the previous milky lotion since its launch. Based on these reviews I'm not going to bother with this one.
I have purchased the hydra essential lotion for many years. Including from when it was first called hydra quench lotion. I have to use a light lotion and this was perfect. I also liked the fact it had spf15. I am so disappointed Clarins have stopped making the product and have replaced it with a product that is not as light and has no spf. This is a real step backwards. Please can you start production again.
