Clarins Purifying Toning Lotion 200ml

As a dedicated fan of Clarins, I have always appreciated their makeup and skincare products, but I recently tried the Clarins Purifying Toning Lotion for the first time. The packaging is sleek and attractive, and the scent is pleasant with a slight aroma that isn’t overwhelming. This toner does a wonderful job hydrating my skin after a shower and before I apply my serum. Overall, I am very satisfied with this toner and it has become a welcome addition to my skincare routine.

I feel like I’ve been getting so much maskne lately, and this toning lotion is exactly what I needed. I use the toning lotion after I wash my face with the Clarins Purifying Gentle Foaming Cleanser. I put a few dabs of the toning lotion on a cotton pad and wipe it over my face, giving extra attention to the parts of my skin that are prone to breakouts. This toning lotion is very light. While it works hard to remove cleanser and any trace of leftover makeup, it doesn’t feel harsh. A lot of other toners I’ve tried instantly make my skin feel tingly when I use them. 100/100 WOULD RECOMMEND ALL PRODUCTS!!

Currently, I (ritually) use 13-14 Clarins products and this being one of them! :) I use it the exact way they demonstrate in the product details - just phenomenal and so satisfying! I’m approaching 2ish years since making the full switch to only using Clains skin care routine & make-up products. I’ll never use anything else. Im super picky yet I’m not someone who can usually afford pricey products such as these. So, naturally the price absolutely scared me at first. However, I’ve never regretted these purchases for a second. Just to give one example: My 1st purchase was the SOS Primer & UV Full Protection Anti-Pollution “foundation” (still swear be these, still use everyday and will cont. to forever.) Expensive - but very good.

I cannot change from this skin toner, despite the cost. I am in my 50's and have always had oily but sensitive skin. Since I have been using this clarifying lotion after showering in the morning and makeup removal in the evening, my skin has honestly never looked this clear. It smells divine and makes me feel squeaky clean as though I have been in a spa. I wish this product wasn't so very expensive! But I have reached an age where I realise that so often, you get what you pay for. I have a tall bottle and I buy the refill pouches.

Great With Matching Cleanser

Now I'm in my early 30's I've started noticing that my skin is becoming slightly dryer than usual, when I've always been quite oily! Purifying toners were always my general go-to and I wanted to see now my skin is slightly dryer, if they would still help to control my breakouts - this toner is so light and fresh on the skin and left my skin feeling comfortable but a little squeaky clean after using the foaming cleanser. However I found they worked really well together and would definitely recommend to use them as a pair. I tried using it on a cotton pad and wiping across, and then just applying with my hands. I found I personally prefer using the warmth in my hands to apply this product and found a little bit goes quite a long way. I'd say this toner is more specifically targeted at someone with an oiler skin than mine, however really enjoyed using it and will alternate it with a hydrating toner to see what results that gives me.

Misleading New from original formula

This is not the tonic lotion Iris, Peaux misted ou grasses. I just purchased one that seemed to be the same one: same color, same bottle and then there’s the smell….. imagine applying unbrushed morning saliva on your face, it smells horrible—very deceiving. The green face wash also changed the “new” one is more coarse, the previous one was foamy. Why did you change the formula ? It makes no sense. So disappointing

Perfect Toner

This purifying toning lotion was recommended by the clarins assistant.On use, it was gentle, cooling and VERY effective at mopping up make-up and cleanser residue.My skin felt clean and really sparkling without the tightness of other toners that dried my skin out.It was the first time I tried this product so was pleasantly surprised by its gentleness and effectiveness.Win win!

Super disappointed

I didn’t realize ordering a 400ml bottle that this was not the Iris toning lotion. I have been using it for years and it has been my favorite part of my skin routine. I adored the smell, I felt so sophisticated and it really felt luxurious. My dream would’ve been to have a fragrance with exactly that smell. I also liked the lean feeling on my skin after using it. This new product is nowhere near there. And the smell is just awful. I am so so so disappointed. Would’ve I known that it will be discontinued I would have bought many bottles to keep me covered for a few years until I got over the shock and disappointment of this discontinuation. But I didn’t even have this chance. Also why did you put in such a similar package? It’s so misleading. This is great for skin that is prone to break outs

I have combination skin and whilst it can be quite dry and sensitive I am very prone to hormonal breakouts and have suffered with adult acne since my 20's (I just hit 40). Anyone who has had bad skin will tell you there's no miracle cure and you just have to see what will work for you. Clarins is a brand that I have come back to time and time again as I find it really kind on my skin and the products always smell amazing too! A toner is often a step that I miss out of my skincare routine but as my skin had flared up again recently I wanted to look after it better. I've been using this morning and evening for a week now and I have definitely seen my skin calm down a lot from redness and active spots are healing better. If you have really bad skin this product on its own is not going to cure it, but it certainly won't harm it either. If you just have an oily complexion which can get breakouts then this is great as it is not astringent so keeps skin healthy without drying it out.
