Clean Laundry Liquid Apple Splash 2L

Bargain Product. We ran out of usual sensitive laundry liquid so was happy to try this. It took a little effort to find it on the shelf as it was tucked away down on a bottom shelf almost on its own. I loved that it's made in Australia and the bottle is fully recyclable. I generally buy washing liquids without fragrance due to allergies and sensitive skin but liked the subtle apple scent of this both in the bottle and on the clothes afterwards, and although only used it briefly, so far there have been no reactions or irritations. I liked that you didn't need too much to get a nice soapy mix but it's hard to say exactly how clean it gets your clothes. I usually pre-treat stains with a stain removal product before washing or by adding it to the wash and rarely leave stains simply to a laundry liquid or powder to remove. I was happy with the few items I have washed so far but noticed my adult son washed his white T-shirts last night and although the shirts are nice and white one had some small blood stains from his diabetes tracking monitor that were not removed by this product. So the jury is out on the full effectiveness. Overall I was very happy with the price, ease of use, washing capability and fragrance. My only issue and why I have marked down the stars is there is no transparency on ingredients. I looked all over the bottle and there is nothing telling me what's used to make this product. There is a comment on poisons which is good but makes me wonder how harsh the ingredients are. There is also a note that it contains no added phosphate which is a big plus in minimising allergic reactions and issues with the environment, but that's all. I like to know what is going on to my body to ensure it is safe and won't cause any issues with my skin. In the past I've had bad reactions to washing powder residue left in clothes I haven't worn for a while and because of that switched to liquids, but that doesn't mean I still can't have an allergic reaction or it even just affect my skin adversely. So I'm concerned why there is no ingredient list on this product. I might be happy to buy again if the rest of our washing looks and feels good and doesn't adversely affect us, but I won't be recommending it to others until they add to the packaging the ingredients used.

Great value works well. How did I not know about this washing liquid? Unbelievable price for a 2l washing liquid. Very budget friendly. I wasn’t expecting much for that price. I questioned if it would remove stains and odours. The first thing I noticed on opening is that it did have a nice apple fragrance. Easy to follow instructions for the correct amount. Admittedly I only washed office wear that were lightly soiled but living in the tropics it did eliminate sweat odours and did remove any stains. I waited to do my review to see if it would leave clothes itchy and a bad reaction on my skin. Nope all good. Little fragrance left after washing and drying but that was ok with me. Surprising! I've always bought sensitive laundry products as I can't tolerate scented products so I was a little hesitant to claim this sample. I was surprised to see a 2L product for $1. 50 & I didn't have high expectations. It's a little like washing up detergent. A green liquid. I guess it's lacking many of the ingredients in more expensive products. Those that give it a pearl gloss, perhaps whiteness and brighteners?So I tried it over multiple washes before writing this review. I have a front loader. Sheets, darks, colours, towels. I generally don't have heavy/industrial stains but usual kids stains, mostly from eating. I used a little more than my usual amount of higher priced product. There's no measuring cap or drip free pourer on this, which is a disadvantage, but it's cheap. My liquid slot in the machine has volumes marked on it anyway. It didn't provide as many suds or for as long, in the machine while washing. So it could be a little weaker. It's fresh apple scent was actually lovely. Fairly subtle but quite natural, not heavily perfumed. I tolerated it ok on my clothes afterwards. Its scent was present after washing. It was ok for removing dirt. Something extra probably needed for set in stains.. I'm glad it's made in Australia. It's not fancy but does a reasonable job of washing. Choice reviewed laundry detergents last year. I think this was there in its former form? It was down the list a little. for the price I can't complain. They gave ethical ratings too. not for the products but for the company. all Woolworths products scored an F which is low. I didn't read further into the reason for this. I may buy this again when it finally rounds out.

A little goes a long way & even using a small amount left a subtle hint of apple on my clothing - which I really like! Prior to this, I hadn’t tried any fruity washing liquids but I am a fan. I noticed my white linen came out of the wash a little brighter than usual and all I changed my my usual routine was using this liquid instead of my other go-to. The price is extremely reasonable and is a great option for those on a budget. The only thing that’s a slight inconvenience is that the cap is super small and not meant to be used for measuring unlike more premium brands. Nice smell. This one was tricky to find instore, firstly as the packaging looks kind of like bleach, and it's positioning down low under the prewash products. Never would have known it was there if I wasn't looking for it already. Price was great and its an Australian product, so win there. The smell was strong but thankfully it didn't leave a fragrance on the clothes. Don't figure my hubby wanted to smell like a crisp apple at work. No measure in the lid, so I had to put it into my old bottle. That's important so you don't overuse surfactants, save money and the environment. I liked this product and would recommend it for families that don't have heavily soiled clothing. I would definitely buy this product again, and thanks very much for the sample.

This is not something I would consider buying and I nearly missed out as it was quite hard to find in the supermarket, located on the very bottom shelf. I would not normally choose apple as a fragrance and I was completely dubious when I saw the price making a sweeping assumption that the quality of this product couldn't be that great for that price. Well, I have to say I am a convert. I normally buy Radiant liquid when it's half price. I used this initially to pre soak a child's clothes and this did a good job. I then used it in a couple of full washes. One was clothing, one was towels and the other was bedding. It's all line dried and the towels have come out best feeling softer and cleaner than usual. I'm really pleased with this and will definitely be changing over from Radiant. The fragrance is subtle, very important to me with an autistic family member who can “ become sky high “ with smell! Well priced. I didn’t know what to expect with this product. Upon opening the bottle I saw the liquid was of a green colour and I had expected it to have the smell of apple but I was disappointed. There was no “apple aroma”. It was used this afternoon when a load was put on. It’s a very economical product and great during these difficult economic times. I’m not sure if I’m ready to swap from powder to a liquid form as this sample resembled dishwashing liquid. The bottle did have clear instructions on how the product should be used. It gets an extra bonus point as its made in Australia. However it was very difficult to locate as it was on the very last shelf. I located it on the bottom shelf barely visible and if I had not been specifically looking for it I would have likely not noticed it again. I was struck by the price as it is significantly less than other like products including my usual buys. The price would be appealing to many shoppers particularly those on tight budgets. There is no measuring cap which is inconvenient as I tend to be very heavy handed with detergents and have to make the effort to measure out as a result. The aroma is subtle but pleasant and the 2l bottle is easy to handle and store. I have used this to wash one load of clothes thus far and it seems to have done the job. At the RRP $1. 50 for a 2 litre bottle I was hoping to find a great budget buy in these hard times, and replace my somewhat more expensive liquid laundry detergent. For a normal load you need 1/4 cup of the liquid, which seems okay but I get away with approx half of that with my usual laundry liquid. Still, a tick on economy. I washed a load of socks, undies, pillow slips, towels, t-shirts. I didn't notice the apple smell except when I first opened the bottle, okay with that. All up, this product does the job for a normal load of washing. I didn't have any stains to deal with so I don't know how it measures up for stain removal.
