I’ve used this pregnancy test with 2 out of my 4 pregnancies, and it’s hands down nothing short of amazing. I ended up switching to dollar store brands with my last two pregnancies once I found out they’re just as good from a medical standpoint. I’ve only ever tried Clearblue dollar store brands, and I’ve never had an inaccurate reading. Pros: -roughly 5 days earlier detection than cheaper brands -sleek packaging -easy use -digital reading Cons: -high cost (10x more expensive than dollar store devices) -same chances of accuracy as dollar store brand -results fade over time due to being digital, so device can’t be saved for sentimental purposes if desired.

When my husband and I were trying to get pregnant I used these pregnancy tests quite a lot. I had always had negative test results and honestly was getting really defeated but then our little miracle baby came. In jan 2020 I had my first positive test. The results were fast and super easy to read. I only had to wait 2 minutes to see white an obvious positive on the test strip. 9 months later my beautiful baby boy was born and I’m so thankful and grateful for him. I highly recommend these pregnancy tests!! I didn’t find the 6 days sooner ones worked as it couldn’t detect my pregnancy early but after waiting a week I took it again and it lit right up with a positive.

So, I bought it, used it, loved it, waiting to see if this month is my BFP. Here's a rundown of this ovulation kit and here's hoping that I can answer some of the questions and concerns that others might have that are considering this product. This information is also available on the website, and in the instructions. This kit is designed to test over a number of days. In this way, it will catch the rise in estrogen levels that precede the LH surge (ovulation). A blank circle is low fertility. A flashing smiley face is high fertility. This means that the meter is showing a rise in estrogen levels in your urine. Most women will have 2 days of flashing smiley faces before the peak fertility is reached. Peak fertility is a smiley face. Once peak is reached, the meter shows the result for 48 hours, which is a reminder to you that your best chance to conceive is the next 48 hours. Now, a lot of confusion seems to center around the flashing smiley. Generally, most women will see this for 2 days before peak fertility. That's a general statement. Each of us is different and unique and your result may be different. If you get a flashing smiley face for more that 9 days, then there are a couple of things to consider. One: did you start testing too early? If you test too early, estrogen is the leader of the pack for the time around your period and testing too early will pick up that higher estrogen level. There is a clear chart of when to test. It will also line up with any ovulation/fertility app or fertility prediction chart. Testing too early won't give you a headstart, it'll give you a headache. If you find that you are testing during that time frame and NOT seeing LH surges, then you would want to talk to your doctor. Two: we don't always ovulate every cycle! I know that's the last thing we want to hear when we are peeing on a stick, taking temps, performing midnight fertility dances under the full moon and so on; but, it's true. Third: sometimes the LH surge is so small that the meter can't pick it up. Sometimes the meter will go from LOW to PEAK from one day to the next. This typically means that you started testing too late for the meter to catch the high fertility days and it only caught the LH surge. Next cycle, start at the recommended cycle day to begin testing and this should give you the low-high-peak progression that you are looking for. Once that static smiley face is reached, your LH surge has been detected and you are at your highest chance of conception. The meter will show that smiley face for 48 hours as a reminder to you that you are at peak fertility. Once the smiley face goes away, the fertile window has closed. You CAN'T test with the meter after peak fertility is detected. Well, you can think that you are. You can throw a test strip in there, not look to see the symbol that says "ready to test" and proceed to test tap water, dr pepper, sam adams, kool aid or whatever you feel like testing and the meter will still show peak fertility because it ISN'T ACTUALLY TESTING. If you want to test again after peak fertility has gone (that means the display is blank and you get the new cycle symbol and the ready to test symbol when you insert the stick) then, and only then, can you test again. I don't know why you would need to test again, but if you absolutely feel the need to, you could. But, chances are, your ovulation is long past. I saw a couple of posts where this test kit was compared to wondfo or other test strips. Those test strips can be pretty tricky to read. Just because you have two lines there, that doesn't mean you have an LH surge. For those types of tests, the test line must be as dark as or darker than the control line. If you prefer to use a lot of sticks, those would be your best economical strips to use. I would recommend that you place them in a notebook or on a notepad with the cycle day and time of test, glued in place, and watch the progression. That will show you how best to look for the dark line that tells you that your LH surge is on its way. But, those strips can make you want to tear out your hair if you don't do that, because it's really hard to catch the pattern if you don't save the strips. I used those for several months. They are messy and difficult to read. The clearblue test is easy and mess-free. I also hear (read) a lot of complaints about the price, and this one confuses me. Yes, it's about $40, but it should last 1-2 cycles (it might make me 3) and this cost is far less than the cost of an infant when you figure in medical costs, clothing, diapers, etc. It's a good test. It really works. I got 2 days of low, 2 days of high and then peak. I highly recommend it. But, read ALL the instructions and begin testing on the day that they recommend, or you might find yourself frustrated and confused. It is different that most of the other OPK out there, and I wonder if that causes a lot of the confusion.

The Clearblue Rapid Detection Pregnancy Test is known for its Award Winning design, accuracy, and testing results. It states that the design includes easy-to-grip, long, curved handle and unique technology for easy results. Its high accuracy is based on the fact that it is 99% accurate from the day of your expected period, and the Clearblue pregnancy test can be used to test up to 4 day before your expected period. I had an awesome experience when using this pregnancy test. I took the test first thing in the morning, and I made sure not to drink a lot of water before taking the test. I placed the pregnancy test/test strip in a cup of my urine and saw the strip change color. In total, I waited for the results for about 2-3 minutes. In the past I've used many different pregnancy test. I've used cheap ones, kinda affordable, expensive. For the past year my significant other and I have been trying for a baby. It's frustrating when I use the traditional pregnancy tests because sometimes you may not be able to see the lines. So when I used the clear blue pregnancy tests I felt so much better and at easy. It will either tell you pregnant or not pregnant. And the instructions are so very clear. I now recommend getting these type of tests so no one is second guessing there self. This is something I will definitely be purchasing.

So I never go to try Clearblue until now.I don't like the fact that I obsess over wether I can see a line or not every time I take a test so I stopped using those cheap strip type. This is why I prefer digital pregnancy teats. My doctor told me they all work the same and it's but worth it to splurge on fancy ones but since I like the digital screen I've opted for them ever since.Unfortunately this has been another unsuccessful month in trying to get pregnant. I only used one of the tests this month because I knew deep down this wasn't going to be the month, but I wanted to make sure nonetheless.I saved the test that reads "pregnant" or "not pregnant" because I figure when I do get pregnant I'll test again and use that one to tell my husband the news.I don't have any complaints about the test. It worked exactly as it should and the instructions were clear as day. If you've used a pregnancy test before, using Clearblue should be a breeze. My friend is also trying to get pregnant and I've recommended Clearblue to her since she too wants a test that reads the actual word "pregnant"

False positive result

Literally do not buy the digital tests or any blue dye tests, at least not as the initial test used. I am a few days late on my period so I took the digital. It popped up “PREGNANT”. I was so shocked, we already have two children 4 and under. Once it sunk in, I was so excited to be adding to our family. I went and got bloodwork from the doctor the next day and I am actually NOT pregnant. I am so disappointed and it’s honestly heart breaking and feels like a loss due to how deceiving this test was. I have taken plenty of pregnancy tests in the past and I have NEVER had this happen with another brand. I can’t imagine actually being actively trying/struggling with infertility and seeing “pregnant” pop up and it be completely false. The blue dye tests are so bad with ... MoreLiterally do not buy the digital tests or any blue dye tests, at least not as the initial test used. Great tests. Detected pregnancy very early- confirmed with blood test
4 December 2021

I got four positives from all four tests. I took one four days before my missed period and it was positive and continued to take them. After reading reviews of false positives, I got nervous and bought tests from another brand. I got very very faint positives and error messages. I had a blood test which confirmed pregnancy! If people are getting “false” positives it is likely because of how early they are testing. A person can be pregnant because the egg was fertilized, but then the embryo never implants in the uterus, resulting in a very early miscarriage. It is extremely extremely rare to get a true false positive. Implantation typically occurs 8-9 DPO, but can occur as late as 12 DPO. There are so many good things to say about this Clearblue Rapid Detection Pregnancy Test. The applicator has a really nice, ergonomic handle that made the testing process super easy and mess-free. I took the test when I was about 4 weeks pregnant, and it displayed positive quickly, and the result was super easy and clear to read -- I guess the hint is in the brand name, right? Clearblue - the result was just that, clear and blue. I really appreciated that there was no real confusion between the lines, it took a lot of the guesswork out of what can be a stressful situation. I would definitely buy Clearblue in the future and would recommend it to others who are trying to conceive or to confirm a pregnancy. I have tried multiple products of various brands of pregnancy tests and I found Clearblue tests to be the easiest to use. Other brands typically include some sort of pipette tool where you are supposed to collect urine and place it in a tray and allow time for the urine to spread and the results to be given in lines, in which you are supposed to compare to the "control line" to interpret your results. These were so not handy because the kits never included a little tray or cup to collect urine in so I always had to use some sort of togo container. The Clearblue kit gives 2 tests; one is the digital pregnancy test with the smart countdown which counts down to give a digital result of words that will either say pregnant or not pregnant. The other Clearblue test is a rapid detection test in which results will display either a + sign for pregnant, or a - sign for not pregnant. Results are 99% accurate and both tests give earlier results as early as 5 days. Peeing on the stick is also much more quick and easier than having to use a pipette to collect urine.I appreciate how discreet these products are and would highly recommend them to friends and family. Compared to the process of other pregnancy tests I have tried, these Clearblue kits are much more superior. I find them a bit pricey so I would definitely combine the purchase with store and manufacturer coupons whenever possible.
