I have only hit the driver about 30 times on the range so far. I bought it to replace an ‘05 Titleist 905r that I have had for many years. I hit a new Callaway Rogue ST max at a demo day and it was impressive. But I couldn’t bring myself to spend well over $800 on a driver but did want something with some new driver technology built into it. I was really looking for more forgiveness on off centre hits, a bit more of a solid feel and a bit of extra weight to the club. I decided to try the Cleveland due to the price, the right spec and the fact that I still own a Cleveland Hibore Driver that is quite a good club. I hadn’t physically seen the club or tried one before deciding to take a punt on it. First impressions are good. Decent weight to it even though it is ... I hadn’t physically seen the club or tried one before deciding to take a punt on it. First impressions are good. Decent weight to it even though it is marketed as ‘Lite’, nice solid feel at impact, fairly forgiving on off centre hits - much better than my old driver, reasonable distance, extra shaft length isn’t noticeable, and after five or so swings I was finding the centre of the club consistently. I don’t think it is as good as the $800+ Callaway, but it was less than half the price. I think with a few more sessions on the range I should be able to dial it in and I expect it to be a good driver. I hit my drivers fairly flat so like very high lofts to get the ball up in the air, I can hit this high by hitting up on it but it does tend to ‘fall out of the sky’ due to backspin from the high loft. If you do hit up on the driver I would definitely recommend a lower lofted driver to maximise distance and lower spin rates. I think once I am hitting it straight consistently I will be able to fine tune my swing and set up to maximise the distance I get from the driver. So far happy with the purchase.

I enjoy trying out different golf clubs but have not hit a Cleveland driver for almost 20 years. I saw several good reviews for this and Golf Avenue had a good price on it. I had a Ping G425 earlier this year but while forgiving, the spin was too high. This thing is every bit as forgiving but I can keep the spin between 2000-2500 RPMs so distance is much longer and more consistent. I highly recommend giving this driver a try.

Amazing distance but this driver at dodger run for 399 after testing it out into the store and hitting it 292 yards which was farther than my SIM to buy 30 yards. I’ll also purchased the seven wood after hitting it 242 yards! That’s right I said at seven would 242 yards the new halo series is unbelievable!!!Cleveland hats off to you you did very well with this series of Drivers and Fairway Woods. The driver itself feels excellent swing in the face is very hot. The ball explodes off the face and I love the sound that it makes. Much better than the dead thud of a Sim2 .!!!!!

I was curious about this thing because of the price point. It hits so pure it's ridiculous. The only bummer is that it only comes in a 10.5° and I hit up on the ball too much for that. If it came in a 9° it would have been perfect, SUPER easy to hit! It's nice enough that I would rather give it as a gift to someone than return it. If you have difficulty getting the ball in the air and you want a driver with good dispersion control (assuming your swing is decent) get this. It's a great driver for any priceDavid Garcia
I tried this club because my irons matched and my wedges were all Cleveland. The first round I played I hit the ball long and straight, and yes that's something new with a driver. I reached some crazy distances but down hill hard ground and wind contributed. The counter weight in the grip makes the club feel light and easy to swing. My distance and accuracy have improved and I finally found something I hit like I hit my hybrids. I couldn't be happier in the results!
I got my driver today and promptly went out and played. Within my round I had drives of 311/304/297. Yes they rolled and were a little down hill, but I bombed them. I set it up for 10 degrees Flat and it's absolutely perfect. I had a Stealth and didn't hit it well. I just bought the three wood and have been crushing it but now this driver is exactly what I've been hoping for for years. I haven't hit the ball like that in 25 years!!!
Had to wait a bit for the left hand version of the Cleveland Launcher XL Lite Driver to come out but was it worth the wait. Just taking up golf again after 22 years and bought Cleveland irons from Carls. Needed a driver so picked this one up. Never had an oversized driver before. But l love it. At 65 years old I am hitting close to 300 yards and 50-60 yards past everyone. Golf is fun again. Carls is a great place to buy equipment. My go to place .
There was no issue with the product.I cannot speak on product performance as I did not use the club.I bought this driver after attending a golf show. However the driver I tried at the show was the light version and had a different shaft. I decided that the driver may be heavier and longer than I wanted. Additionally because of the counterweight in the shaft I was concerned about having the shaft shortened and the effect of the weighting. Nice looking driver and seems to be priced where I want to be for my game.
It's rare to have a driver that is truly long and forgiving, but the Cleveland Launcher XL is just that!!! I bought the club to use on tight courses to keep the ball in play, thinking I can give up yardage just to keep it in the fairway. I was shocked when I started bombing straight drives down the center! What a fantastic club! Just as long, but way more forgiving than other brands!
As someone who can't hit a driver, I have to recommend any of my recommendations. I'm sure I messed up the specs by immediately putting a jumbo grip on it. My problem is smother hooking and a sore elbow from drivers. It might actually be better than my Z565 but, I'm still testing. I have yet to find any driver that makes for better scores than just going with the 3-wood off the tee.
