Clinique Even Better Clinical Serum Foundation SPF 20 #WN 01 Flax

Great serum foundation after trying a couple for me. I don’t moisturize normally as I get oily but it oxidizes amazingly smooth! The coverage seems to be a good high medium as I have rosacea and it covers completely! All my redness. Super happy and light weight formula! A little goes a long way and it does not feel cakey! I tend to use soft kabuki style brushes or sponges to ensure it is evenly applied, the texture is runny a bit and light, not heavy. The finish to me is more natural than matte or luminous. I definitely saw a difference in my skin as well after using it as it has special ingredients for the skin. Amazing

I bought this foundation 2 months ago in store. As a brown woman, my shade is very hard to match as some foundation goes too yellow, too orange or slightly too light. It is a nightmare to find the correct shade.I have combination skin, dark spots, uneven tone and hyperpigmentation. I have some wrinkles around my eyes and some pores around my nose.I tried this foundation in the shade "sand" and i was absolutely happy because it was an exact match to my skin tone. It covered all my imperfections. BEST FOUNDATION EVER!

Truthfully the best foundation .... EVER! I now know that I am sensitive to fragrance and could never figure out why other foundations always made my skin a bit stingy or itchy. All of the Clinique products are 100% fragrance free and that has been pure bliss for me. A little goes a really long way with this foundation. For daily wear I only need half a pump for my entire face and decollate. If I was going out for dinner or a special event a full pump would be just perfect. This foundation doesn't feel heavy or like you have much on your face at all so to speak, but the coverage is out of this world. I use CN28 shade (bought online from the shade matcher) and it is absolutely perfect. Better coverage but still light and natural

This is fantastic. Estée Lauder discontinued their double wear light 2 years ago and I have been trying to find a better foundation and this is it! It's not too thick, it's not watery like all the other foundations are these days which makes me skin oily and gross, it's the perfect formula of creamy consistency yet still a natural look, not too oiley, yet still moisturising enough where it doesn't dry out your skin. I have looked everywhere for a long time and it's hard to find a product like this. Clinique you have done it again. Also highly recommend to go with this product their sheer Matt powder to dab and also their blush products go well with it. Thanks Clinique for creating such a great product! I have used Clinique's blush and skin products over 10 years and they have always been good, but never tried their foundation up until now! Glad I found it. Great product, highly recommend.

Disappointed

I picked this up intending to replace my now-discontinued holy-grail foundation. I have combo/oily skin, no dry areas. I got a great shade match and it had great coverage. At first I thought this was going to be amazing. This promises so much - matte, zero transfer, skin-care, etc. And it really fails to deliver. It's never matte. It doesn't absorb oil at all. Within 5 minutes my face is shiny, and in an hour the foundation has separated and is blotchy everywhere on my face. It transfers easily. All I have to do is touch my face lightly and the foundation is on my fingers. It doesn't matter if I use setting spray or powder. It looks awful. It also tends to break me out. I do not recommend this at all.

Full coverage great for oily skin

I had more success applying with my fingers - I had more control and even with just a thin layer, I already had full coverage. Surprisingly the best results were with no primer, just sunscreen and some concealer for colour correction. I didn’t bother with concealer on my blemishes or under eyes cuz I felt this foundation did a good job of coverage. A spritz of setting spray and I was good for the entire day - I am really amazed when I finally got this to work for me! For oily skin it’s just amazing, it did wonders for oil control and didn’t sink into my pores or fine lines. Doesn’t transfer to my mask either. Good foundation but no truly pale & neutral shades

This gives great coverage and you need only a tiny amount, before blending, blending, blending. It's matte and not much glow or sheen, but doesn't look heavy unless you apply too much. Unless your skin is oily you will need a generous amount of moisturiser first or this foundation will look dry.The problem for me with all Clinique foundation is the shade range. They are either 'warm' or 'cool'. I'm blonde/ slightly golden hair but very pale with light green eyes.I bought Breeze a few weeks ago, which is 'cool' but it's quite pink-toned. Why no 'neutral'? I have now had a sample from the Clinique counter of Flax. This is supposed to be 'warm' and more for people with a warm undertone. However, it's considerably lighter than Breeze and is a better match for me.

Not good.

Been using this for about 3 months now, absolutely terrible foundation. Looks really lovely when first applied and then is ok for an hour or 2, then it goes terrible. I was convinced by assistant at counter to try it as an alternative to my usual foundation, I really wish I hadn’t (my usual is estee lauder double wear) this sits on top of my skin, looks greasy and comes off skin far to easy (though likes to stick to clothes). Only thing I have changed in my routine is the foundation, thought I would try it for spf and other benefits but wouldn’t buy again. Have to keep using until I run out unfortunately as it’s so expensive but looking forward to going back! Double wear lasts all day and doesn’t constantly transfer to everything. Terrible

Honestly the worst foundation I have EVER used. My face was cleansed & moisturised ready for foundation, I use a brush to apply and have never had issues, it took me forever to blend this onto my skin you could see brushes lines everywhere, when I did finally sort it, added powder etc it looked amazing well unfortunately it must’ve stayed that way for 2hrs if that! The foundation sank into my pores making it look like my cheeks had braille on them, my fine lines, any sort or crevice it could find my makeup was AWFUL, I have never been so embarrassed out and about with the way it looked, it was like grouping together around my lips making it look like I had crusty skin. Went in to store to see this, spoke to the consultant and explained I wanted something with skincare to help my maturing skin (35), as it's getting drier...did say I didn't like Matt too much and my skin is getting drier. In fairness to the consultant she did try some on me and it looked nice but when I apply it at home it just feels horrible. I see now on the website that it's for combo oily skin-no wonder it is making my face feel unpleasant. It does look great when first applied, I used Clinique moisturiser and primer underneath but a few hours in and it's settled in my pores and I look like my skin is even drier! I would imagine that for the right skin type it Spending £38 is a complete luxury for me, I haven't been able to purchase Clinique products in several years which indicates my finances, so I certainly cannot afford to purchase a replacement, so I'm bitterly disappointed.
