I was fortunate enough to find exactly what I was looking for in the Forged Tec X irons; 5-PW with the KBS 85 S graphite shaft. It is hard to describe the smooth but explosive feel these irons have at contact. Their launch angle, trajectory, and landing angle is so consistent and predictable itās just amazing. I tried a number of other high end irons and for me, nothing compares to the feel and confidence I get with these irons. As soon as I discovered this set just came in, I grabbed them IMMEDIATELY!!! Cobra basically owns my entire bag at this point with the exception of my steep wedges. Keep it up Cobra. You have definitely improved my game!!

These irons are everything I wanted and more! Came from TaylorMade P790s and decided to make the switch to full one length irons and could not be happier. I shouldāve done this years ago! Donāt listen to the haters, since switching Iāve gotten from consistent 80s to consistent 70s. Absolute game changer. Missed shots just arenāt as bad, simple as that. I have a pretty high swing speed so distance has never been a problem, it was controlling the beast that I needed to improve. These irons are exactly as advertised, they take the guess work out of shot setup and you just go. Have a problem hitting thin randomly? Hitting fat? I bought my father a golf weekend in Branson, MO and deciced to order these right before we left. Knowing supply chain sucks right now, never expected to play with the new irons. But just on a hope I called Corba to find out the odds of expediting. Chris was super positive; We joked around that if it was Augusta he could make it happen. He made no promises but he would do his best. Long story short they showed up at my door steps the Monday before we left to give me a couple of rounds to adjust to them. I love them. Just played my first round with new Forged Tec X irons and they didn't disappoint. I also have a set of Mizuno JPX Hot Met Pros and the difference was amazing. Longer with the Forged Tec X by a full club and predictable 5 yard draw. Spin was incredible. Greens were very receptive and because of the great decent angle and better spin than anticipated able to backup several full mid irons. Just all around excellent performers.
I play off a 10 sometimes lower, had a fitting session with these CB's, Tour, Forged Tec. Forged Tec hit miles , Tour was great and then the CB just stood out. Fitted these with $ Taper lite stiff shaft. Lofts are traditional. Still hitting a reasonable way with 7 iron in fitting. My AVG was 177 yrds with 5500 spin, 21deg launch. Used Taylormade tp5 for ball, Club speed around 87mph and ball speed 120. But it was best feeling and most controllable. It also surprised me how forgiving it was. Awesome looking, great feel, amazing club. I was shocked. I thought I was Forged Tec the whole way but these were so consistent.
This is my first iron set to call my own, other than some 23 year old hand-me-downs. Since I am in Montana, there is about a foot of snow outside and at least 2 months left of winter. So far I have only been able to take these to the local Trackman a few times and have been practicing into a net off of a hitting mat for the past 2 months.Starting off with looksā¦ which is subjectiveā¦ I really like these irons. These have slowed down my game and made me really think about āwhy is the ball doing that?āI shopped around for months wrestling with getting either game improvement (i.e callaway mavrik or Ping G425), super game improvement, or players distance. I came to the conclusion, and Iām of the belief that, instead of getting game improvement irons that can mask poor striking, Iād rather grow into player irons like these and take the game to the next level.With all of that being said, I know there are going to be times I want to wrap these things around a tree, or give them to the fish on hole 17, but isnāt that what golf is all about? Clubs canāt fix bad mechanics, and golf is just a game we hate to love sometimes.Hereās to snow melting, and breaking 90 this year with these bad boys!
I have had my Forged Tec irons for around 2 months now. I love everything about them, except for the fact that 4 of the heads have started to detach from the shat. It started with the 7-iron and has started showing up in more and more of the clubs. I am not hard on the clubs (store tham at my club in a controlled environment) and play in relatively soft conditions in the PNW.When my club contacted COBRA, they were told I would have to send in my entire set to be inspected and reviewed before they could do anything. This is pretty frustrating because the clubs are clearly defective, despite being brand new. After spending years hunched over standard clubs at standard lie, I finally got fitted. I needed an inch above standard and 3Ā° upright. The difference is incredible. I'm hitting shots I wouldn't have dreamed of hitting just a couple months ago. I still have my struggles, but the forgiveness of the clubs makes up for the growing pains of 20 years of bad habits swinging for poorly fitted clubs. These clubs have been perfect for building a better game and would recommend them to anyone with a 15 to 20 handicap.
I got a set with Project X LS 6.0. These are solid, consistent, and feel easy to hit. I replaced my new TM P790 with this clubs. The only drawback I have found that they don't hold greens as well as others, maybe the lower loft. I hit this irons the straightest and longest of any club. I just allow for a little roll after I hit the greens. Greens at 190 yards are not a challenge anymore. My scores have improved significantly with these babies.

Really liked the cobras for forgiveness and the Taylor made for feel. But there was something missing from each of those sets and I decided to demo the forged tec and forged tec x. Liked them but the stock shaft was inconsistent for my swing. After some tough I decided to custom order a 4 iron forged tec x with the shaft that is stock in the cobra ltdx which I happen to love - kbs tour 90 S- so that if it didnāt work out it would be just one club.
