Coleman Weathermaster 10-Person Cabin Tent, 5.2m x 2.7m

I received this complimentary gift from Coleman and Influenster in exchange for my honest review. I knew this was a 10 person tent so I expected it to have a rather large footprint but the added height and swinging door added the feel of even more space. I live in Chicago and camp often in the summers in Michigan as well as other parks around the United States so I was geeked to be able to have a tent to share with my family when we go together. The height allows for you to stand comfortably and the overall footprint allows for you to be able to fit a queen sized air mattress comfortably and still have room for more people to sleep in the same tent. There’s an option for a privacy flap between the tent if you’re sharing with someone else / friends. I didn’t add the rain flap on top as I was having a rather hard time setting up the tent in the space I had (and I was in an concrete floor so I couldn’t stake it into the ground in my chicago backyard. Luckily the last couple of days were nice enough to finally step outside and set this up. I tried timing how long it took to set this up by myself but I forgot to check the timer when I finished. It’s fairly easy to do alone if you’re patient and if it’s not windy but it’s definitely more helpful if you have at least one other person to help prop it up. Breakdown was a lot faster as I was more familiar with the pieces. I cannot wait to put this tent to the test against the elements.

We have a family of eight with six children ranging from 17 all the way down to eight months. We love to go camping and doing things outdoors and felt this Coleman tent for Ted. People was perfect for our needs. You can literally fit three queen air mattresses inside! There are room dividers for privacy for the parents, or whoever needs it. There is a hinged door on the front, which is nice for such a large tent. And as you can see from the picture it fits compact inside of a small carry bag, which is unbelievable. So it’s easy to travel and carry in your car, truck, or camper to go alongside. it accommodates people over 6 feet tall as the tent itself is 6‘8“. Years ago my, then wife and I, bought this for camping with our kids. We went to trial run it at the house and discovered it was missing 3 poles! After talking with customer service, they sent us a second tent and let us keep the first. Long story short, we were never truly missing poles BUT the instructions were wrong! So, we ended up with 2 of these which served us well for many years. Eventually the kids grew and no longer needed to share a tent with adults so it was no longer worth it to bring this massive tent on trips. Strengths -it is solid. This thing isn't breaking in any storm -truly waterproof -family sized! - this fit a queen bed, a pack and play, some kids, and some dogs - hinged door- amazing! Every tent needs one Weakness -heavy! The Coleman WeatherMaster 10 Person Tent is a camping game-changer! Easy setup, spacious interior, and unbeatable durability. Rain or shine, this tent delivers comfort and reliability. Smart design with room dividers adds a touch of privacy. From family outings to group adventures, it's a home away from home. Coleman nailed it with this one – my camping experiences will never be the same. Five stars for the WeatherMaster – the ultimate blend of practicality and adventure!

The Coleman WeatherMaster Tent is as massive as it is impressive. First I should say I live in Maine and got this after a week long power outage in December. While this tent is a three season tent, I'm going to assume winter is the one season that it doesn't cover and have chosen to skip that torturous experience. I did however decide to attempt setting it up in my living room and that went far better than expected and I'm dying to go camping now. Set-up is actually far easier than you'd expect for a tent this size. I was worried for nothing. With two people it took approximately 20 minutes and I believe it would have been quicker had we been outside not maneuvering around household stuff. I love all the windows and the hinges door will make things easy. I love the ... MoreThe Coleman WeatherMaster Tent is as massive as it is impressive. I love all the windows and the hinges door will make things easy. I love the size of the tent and it's awesome that there is a way to divide it into two, kind of. The provided divider gives privacy but doesn't go completely to the floor or top, nor does it completely seal at the walls. It's perfectly fine to all you to change clothes without the kids/friends seeing but just barely. That being said it's a tent. If you're looking for privacy for anything beyond that, you're going to want your own tent anyhow. I definitely recommend this tent. It checks all the boxes. Build as well as design quality, spacious and easy to setup. Don't hesitate to buy one of these!

My favorite features of this tent are the space and the dark technology. Coleman certainly did not slack on spaciousness. Up to 10 people can sleep in there and fits 3 queen air mattresses. I have never owned a tent this large. It’s also extra spacious height wise over 6 feet. The dark technology keeps the light and heat out so you can sleep longer and be more comfortable temperature wise. It took us a little over twenty minutes to put the tent together initially with two people, but I think we got the hang of it and should take less time moving forward. It has nice window and door design to have easy access to air or in/out of the tent. We did not experience any water, rain, or extreme weather to provide feedback on. There’s an extra space on the bottom of the storage back that you can remove to expand the bag in case you cannot get the tent folded neatly enough to fit back in the bag after use. I thought that extra touch was nice since I have never seen that before and get very frustrated when things don’t fit back in the package it came in.

This is an amazing tent! Not only is it huge, it is easy to set up and tear down. This tent is big enough for my whole family to sleep comfortably. There is plenty of room! And it was so easy to set up and tear down. I was worried I wouldn’t be able to get it back into the travel bag, but I got it in just fine. Also, the hinged door is pretty cool, I had not seen that on a tent before. If you would like a spacious tent for your family, you gotta try this one. I almost forgot, the top is a screen, so if you leave the fly off you can gaze at the stars!

Adventure Awaits

My daughter and I pitched our new Coleman 10 today that Influenster sent me for my honest review. The Weathermaster was pretty easy for first-time setup. The instructions weren't great, but it was fairly obvious how things went. I will be applying seam sealer as I have on every tent. I like the fact that there are no seams on resting on the ground. The ventilation will be great on this tent with the rain fly. The divider is great for privacy, and the hinged door makes going in and out of a breeze. Coleman didn't slack on room as this tent is huge, with the highest point being 6 foot 8 inches. If you're looking for a tent that is made well and will last for years to come, I definitely recommend this tent for all your adventures.

Good tent - Bad design on door with tight curve.

This would be a great tent for the money, if it didn't have some reliability issues. The long door pole broke upon our first use, in very moderate weather. I fixed it with another pole section and another section from the original pole snapped. The design of the pole requires it to maintain a tight curve (it makes the curved door section somewhat solid and easy to manipulate). I am planning to use the tent without the missing pole but the door isn't designed well to allow this. It is hard to zip closed the door without this pole in place.I called to ask Coleman to send a replacement pole and they have a complex warranty verification process to complete. This process was significantly more onerous than the part justifies. I'm not very hopeful that it will really solve the problem as I think it is a design issue.

Worth it!

My husband and I decided to give it a shot, and wow, we're thrilled with this tent. Our previous one took a painful 2 hours to set up, but the Coleman Tent? Just a couple of minutes, both for setup and takedown. Despite being just the two of us, the 10-person tent easily accommodated our queen-size bed, chairs, clothes, picnic basket, cooler, you name it. Room to spare! Those large windows and easy-zip doors? A game-changer. We weathered torrential downpours for nearly a week—no water or leaking issues. Even threw an extra tarp for good measure, but with strong winds and heavy rain, not a single hiccup. More pleased than ever with this tent. Love those nights sleeping under the stars with the rain fly off—it's a breeze to take on and off solo if needed.
