Maybe I just landed the 1 in 1000 rower here, but I ordered 2 for my small commercial gym and one came damaged. It was not damaged from shipping, but came with a faulty wire in the generator attached to the fly wheel. I went to row it for the first time and a message came up saying the sensor was damaged and needed to be replaced.I’m currently in the process of disassembling the unit to replace the sensor and wire that attaches it. This isn’t the quickest of undertakings, and the directions sent by concept are lackluster at best.I’ve wasted time, effort and aggravation on this and Rogue has really dropped the ball. I’m told my case will be “reviewed for compensation” for the inconvenience once I fix the unit myself. But in the email chain with Rogue and Concept neither one has apologized for the inconvenience which I find very disappointing and odd quite frankly. The directions say to avoid bending or kinking the wire, and when I opened it up the wire had been quite mangled. I would have guessed the first thing to be emailed back would have been “We apologize for selling you a damaged unit..” but I guess not. Best I got was “thanks for reaching out to us about this” which is probably the oddest response I can think of. Of course I’m going to reach out about a defective unit you sold me.The shame of it is I sold two perfectly functioning Perform Better rowers to make room for these.I never post negative reviews, but this has not been an enjoyable experience.

I've been using concept 2 rowers for about seven years. I work for the Phoenix Fire Dept., and there are Concept 2 rowers in just about every fire station gym in the city. I recently bought my own RowErg for home use, and I couldn't be happier. I've tried other rowers, and some of them were OK, but none could match the build quality, ease of assembly, portability, and overall quality. They're easy to move around and break-down into two separate pieces for storage, and they're almost bulletproof. The same rower I started using seven years ago is still in the gym, and used and abused by several firefighters and police officers on a daily basis, and it's still going strong. I started using a rowing machine due to knee problems. Running is too painful, and I wanted an alternative to cycling. I've been using concept 2 rowers for quite a while. I work for the Phoenix Fire Dept., and several fire station gyms have a concept 2 rower. I used the same Concept 2 Rower, three times a week, for over seven years, and it still works perfectly. This same machine (in one of the Fire Dept gyms) has also been used multiple times daily by firefighters and police officers, so it's had its share of punishment. The machine is easily separated into two pieces for storage. It's lightweight, but also very sturdy, and offers a really good workout. Tried many different fitness machines over the years and when my Achilles tendon went a few years back, I wanted something low impact, but it had to provide a good workout. I looked at several cheaper rowing machines but was not fully satisfied by the reviews they had/or hadn't received, I had used the Concept 2 in a local gym and rally enjoyed it as a part of my training. I decided to take the plunge and invest in buying one, It is a solid bit of kit that should last a very long time, plus several parts are replaceable should they ever need to be. I alternate my training routine between light weights one day and the rower the next, in the month I have owned the concept 2 I can already see and feel the difference it is making to my workouts, the one thing I have ... MoreTried many different fitness machines over the years and when my Achilles tendon went a few years back, I wanted something low impact, but it had to provide a good workout. I purchased a concept rower so I could build on my home gym and give going out to a gym a break. Having a back injury and numbness in my leg I wanted to slowly build on my rowing and carry on into running. Only weight lifting and doing high intensity workouts with my injuries, I have missed out on building speed and endurance for 2 years. Having this rower has helped me build on these skills and I'm back running and I feel great. The addition of a device holder and the Erg Concept app was a nice surprise. Each day the app has a new wod. You can bluetooth your workout from your app to your rower monitor to log your workouts in the app (and also join in on challenges if that's your thing!). I also track my workouts on my Garmin so I'm collecting excellent data on my ... MoreI purchased a concept rower so I could build on my home gym and give going out to a gym a break. Excellent quality. And heaps of fun. My 7 year old has also really enjoyed learning how to row and we now complete interval training together. Complete baseline testing and build your fitness off your results, or just have fun!
When my used rower broke on me, I did some research and found the Concept 2 in my top 3 while shopping. I started a lifestyle change and I knew a rower was about the only machine that would be the most effective. Weighing over 300 lbs. at 5'7" and having issues with my knees and back I just felt more comfortable on a rower. So with the reviews and price I decided to purchase the Concept 2 and am I glad I did, wow I can't be more happy with the quality and comfort with this machine. So far I've lost over 75 lbs. off high blood pressure, and have so much more energy. I'm more focus at work, my joints and muscles don't hurt and I feel like a new person. this machine is worth it's weight in gold.
I have read a lot of reviews and it really holds into its reputation. The new ROWERG already come with a device holder, which on my case can fit an IPAD. The thing looks bulky but it is really compact. When I bought it, I bring my CAMRY and it fit on the back passenger seat. I just need to unbox on the loading bay of the rebelsports.Functionality is super smooth. Connection to ANT and Bluetooth is very fast. I used a Garmin FR935 for my Heartrate using ANT and it connect flawlessly. Only thing I notice is when I used the ERGDATA on IPAD and I will not exit the APPS the PM5 monitor will keep in the ON State. So inorder not to run out of battery on PM5 monitor, I always make sure that after using and sync data from my IPAD; I will exit the ERGDATA apps.Very happy ... MoreI have read a lot of reviews and it really holds into its reputation. I have been looking for an indoor rowing machine for a few weeks as alternative to running. After lots of research I was torn between this concept 2 which everyone seems to highly recommend or go for something cheaper for my home use. However, not finding any used C2 at reasonable price and recalling what happened with my last cheap purchase, decided to pull the trigger on a new C2. The price was competitive and they were in stock so a couple of hours later had the rower setup at home. I can say after only a few days of use that this rower feels quality, it is a pleasure to workout on. The connectivity with apps and heart rate just works every time, I was a little concerned it maybe noisy but that is not the case, unlike my treadmill the rower can be used when rest ... MoreI have been looking for an indoor rowing machine for a few weeks as alternative to running. I started a home gym in 2020 like a lot of people. Started with a power rack, bar, and plates but I didn't have a cardio option in the garage. I've been more of a runner most of my adult life but have really enjoyed having the rower for the last couple of months. The reason I chose a rower for my garage gym is space saving. I can stand it straight up and it takes up minimal space. I've been doing rowing workouts before I lift 4 days per week. Great way to get the blood pumping! Paired with Apple Fitness rowing workouts, takes the rower to the next level. The ERG app leaves a lot to be desired. But with the included phone/tablet holder you can use other apps for programmed workouts. I've been using RowErg regularly in my gym as a part of my cardio mix before the pandemic hit. Then, all of a sudden, it become inaccessible. I hoped I'd survive on my home stationary bike alone. But soon enough, I started really missing my upper body being disengaged and the smooth motion of flawless Concept2.I'm not a buff pro or even a sport junkie. Just a regular guy who wants to keep whatever the life claims back due to age and wear and tear. But one doesn't have to be a scientist to know the difference right away when comparing rowing ergonometers. Concept2 is a way to go regardless of how cute and pretentious the others are. Air provides the best dynamic resistance, and there's nothing else out there that does it so long and so well as Concept2.Yes, it is ... MoreI've been using RowErg regularly in my gym as a part of my cardio mix before the pandemic hit. Air provides the best dynamic resistance, and there's nothing else out there that does it so long and so well as Concept2.Yes, it is on the noisier side of the spectrum of market offerings. But there might be just few who'd wish the fan could be quieter because most of my fellow exercisers nowadays rarely jump on a cardio erg without a pair of good cans anyway. My only quip as an Apple watch junkie is that there's no direct , free, or easy way to use it's heart rate monitor capacity with Concept2. All third party apps that work require-well-third party involvement and a little more of dough. Those that come free, fail to connect with PM5 reliably, necessitating investment in chest-belted devices or other, presumably better monitoring watches.Regardless, I'm in my second or third (I truly don't care how long I've had my Erg as a homebody) month of projected ownership (thank you, Rogue Fitness and PayPal, the only trusted seller of trusted equipment that offers no interest installment plan) and am thoroughly enjoying Concept2 as my cardio pal.Did I mention it snaps in two parts for storage and locks back to work in a matter of seconds?I have no doubt that regardless how far I rank on the group competition rosters or as a user, I'm a winner just by owning this refined, time-proven and durable and hard working Concept2. Funny that it's a kind of misnomer at that because being refined, time-proven and durable ergonometer it's not really a concept anymore.
