"Special...beautiful...lovely Italian tomatoes" as commented on James Martin's Home Comforts on BBC2, and "genuinely unique tomatoes..." according to Matt Tebbutt in Food Unwrapped on Channel4 Have you ever tried Coppola San Marzano Tomatoes? These tomatoes are unlike any others. They're sweet and plump with a very subtle acidity that creates a perfectly balanced tomato sauce (and they're the number one choice in the dishes of the best Italian and international chefs). You can make them part of your special pasta, pizza, soup or even top it on ciabatta bread with some salt sprinkled over for an extra zing! Coppola San Marzano Tomatoes are made with selected San Marzano tomatoes varieties, grown in Campania in an area between the provinces of Naples, Salerno, and Avellino, known for its fertile volcanic soil as well as high water table. These tomatoes are cultivated vertically, using wires attached to wooden supports and harvested manually between the summer months of August and September. They're then attentively sorted for any imperfections before being packed in their juicy tomato juice! Coppola San Marzano Tomatoes are PDO (protected designation of origin) certified and each can have its unique identification number. They are made with no sugar, no sweeteners added, and are free from artificial flavours, thickeners, or firming agents. Packed in easy-open, white lacquered, BPA free lining tinned cans. Good to know: San Marzano tomatoes are known as Re Pomodoro or the King of Tomatoes. “Special...beautiful...lovely Italian tomatoes” as commented on James Martin’s Home Comforts on BBC2, and “genuinely unique tomatoes...” according to Matt Tebbutt in Food Unwrapped on Channel4 Have you ever tried Coppola San Marzano Tomatoes? Sweeter and not acidic like other tinned tomatoes.I ordered a case of 12 and was disappointed that 6 were badly dented making opening the tin difficult, hence 4 stars.
