I got tired of my Crate & Barrel plates randomly cracking in half... so while this whole set was a lot less expensive I know it will last. My mother has the same set for over 30 years... so I look forward to the longevity Corelle is known for and we picked a pattern and color that should endure for many years. We had to buy these salad plates as they did not come with the set... the set came with a really small bread plate which isn’t useful for everyday use which is what we bought the set for so these salad plates are perfect.

This is a good and bad story. I bought a set of corelle dishes, my first set. I wash washing a small plate in the sink and it slipped out of my hand and broke in the sink. I was so disappointed, not the quality I expected. I ordered a new one, and a couple spares. They were a bit expensive as they are in USD and I’m in Canada, but they arrived in no time.

I needed to get plates that were able to go in the microwave and weren’t huge, bulky and heavy. Growing up my mom had the corelle slate pattern and I remembered how light weight they were. So I found the mystic gray pattern and fell in love with it. I bought the 16 piece dinnerware set but it didn’t come with the 8.5in salad plates, so I came here to add them to complete the set. Beyond happy with them.
Other than the fact that a dozen of these plates cost as much as a dozen complete dinner sets (dinner plates, small plates, and bowls) from another source, they are great.
I recent bought the Mystic Grey set with the dinner plates, appetizer plates, and bowls. I was bummed that the set didn’t come with lunch plates, because that’s the size we used most often in our last set. So I bought them individually and I’m very happy with my purchase. Love the pattern. This is my first set of Corelle, but my mom has had hers for 25+ years, so I’m sure mine will last.
It’s beautiful! I replaced my heavy stoneware with these lightweight dishes and they are so much easier to load in the dishwasher and to lift a stack to put away. I love them!
Love this plate. Pretty and perfect size for salad or lunch. This wasn’t available when I purchased the Mystic gray set but really works well with the same size Corelle plate in white. The mix and match is fun and modern.
I recently purchased these to go with the set of the mystic gray (dinner plate, bowl and dessert plate). I was bummed that the set didn’t come with the salad plate so I had to spend the extra money. I have four sets of Corelle dishes and they are all I use. Have tried pottery plates before but they break and are too heavy. Corelle for me! Just hope their quality stays as good as it was in my childhood (1970s).
First of all I absolutely love the pattern. This style was on my wedding registry and when I went to the Corelle website to order something else (Versa Meal bowls - I highly recommend) I happened to see that this design came in the salad plate size. It is the perfect size for a small salad, sandwich, or small meal and I use these so much. They are such a great addition to our set and a staple in our kitchen.
