Corelle Winter Frost White 6-3/4-Inch Plate Set (6-Piece) Bread & Butter Plate, 6-3/4-Inch Plates

perfect size for sandwiches and small plates of food. I bought in addition to the full set of correlle which includes small plates more like saucers than salad plates. I adore the corelle. lightweight, compact in my limited small cabinet space. Virtually unchippable or breakable. Great price for the individual salad plates. I bought the white correlle because it is more food safe than old dinnerware.

A Necessary Size To Have

I purchased a total of 12 appetizer plates. I have the Corelle Swept Pattern, which I love. The Swept pattern was discontinued. However, Swept never offered the appetizer size plate. I always missed not having this size plate (6.75"). It is useful for bread, small snacks, etc. I feel I have a complete set of dishes by adding the Winter Frost White Appetizer plates. Corelle Swept is white. I have been using Corelle for the last 43 years. I would purchase open stock patterns of the appetizer plates. I have donated the various patterns to thrift shops over the years. Now all my Corelle is white & easy to add on to. Thanks for great products & wonderful memories.

Corelle bring back the Ivy pattern, please.

They are simple. Blend with other patterned Corelle dishes not available anymore like the Ivy set I have. Since I had only 4 Ivy dinner plates. I added 4 plain white instead of buying whole sets. I never used the coffee saucers and don’t want clutter. I also have white pasta bowls we use often. I’d rather be able to replace my Ivy patterned pieces, though. To Corelle - hint hint!

Favorite dishes

These are classic Corelle dishes. So lightweight and easy to handle. Goes with any color theme. These plates are about 6.75 inches in diameter. Great size for small dessert like brownies or piece of cake, or snacks, or taking a treat to a neighbor...one you know will return your plate! Have many pieces of this Winter Frost and enjoy them all. These are some of my most used Corelle along with my 30 ounce pasta/dinner bowls. Easy to clean in dishwasher or hand wash or use in microwave.

Great easy to use dinnerware

I already had some of that Corelle kitchenware for over 25 years, and like how it is lite and easy to clean. I ordered these plates because I had also already purchased some of the 24oz bowls which we also use for Pho, so they make a nice table setting, but more than that, I like their light weight and their shape.I do not like dishes with an inch and a half lip so as to give the person the idea that they should only fill up the middle of the plate which is actually 3" less in diameter. I wanted a plate that could hold a dinners worth of food, not to pretend that I am eating more than I should if I have fill up that smaller center twice or more.They are also microwave and dishwasher safe. Lightweight and Sturdy Everyday Dishes

Corelle is lightweight and sturdy. These lunch plates are one of my favorite sizes. Not too large but also not to small. Useful not just at lunchtime of course. I like that they are both microwave safe and dishwasher safe. One con is that it is lightweight so if you are trying to cut some more hefty meats, it does tend to move around if you don't have a placemat or something to keep it in place on the table. I like that they are white without any pattern to give it a more current and modern look. But if designs are your thing, Corelle makes plenty of those.

Made in Canada lunch plate

I was down to my last lunch plate so I needed to replace some of them. I decided to check out what Canadian Tire had and to my surprise, they sell plates and cups and bowls. The lunch plate is super light and strong and apparently chip resistant, which is important because that's how I've lost my other plates, dropping them or banging them against hard surfaces. The other thing I like is that they are made in Canada. Which I try to look for when I am purchasing items. So I am quite happy with my decision and now I know where to go to get more if required.

One defective plate out of six, others good

Unfortunately, one of the plates had a defect. When I washed the plates before using them, I felt a surprisingly large bump or burr sticking up on the top of one of the plates. I picked at with my nail thinking it might come off, but it was part of the plate. The other plates were fine, and amazingly seemed to stack perfectly with the 3 remaining plates from a set I bought something like 40 years ago. Always liked these plates. I was not thrilled with the defect, but didn't want to bother with a return. 5 plates instead of 6 for the price I paid was not terrible. I found another use for the defective plate.

Really good dishes

I really like these dishes! They are very light-weight, which makes them easy to handle when soapy. I was having problems with dropping my heavier dishes while slippery with dish soap. I even broke a few this way. Not a problem with these Corelle dishes. And they clean up easy and dry quickly in the dish rack. When you use them in the microwave, they don't heat up and burn your fingers, either. They've gotten a little expensive, but are still worth it. I also like the 8.5 inch size. Eating off a 10 inch plate is asking for trouble...in the form of extra pounds, and all the health problems that go with it.

Space saving Corelle plates

I needed some extra plates for large family gatherings. I still own some Corelle from decades ago so I bought these to supplement that, as my patterns are no longer available. These are lightweight and stack compactly to save space. I also found and bought one odd Corelle Lia dinner plate locally, and these Frost White plates are the same size, shape, and stack the same as the Lia round plates. (I could have gotten this set of 6 plates less expensively ordering from WM, but there were too many complaints of broken plates. This set arrived without problems.)Corelle is not unbreakable; I've broken a few pieces over the decades, but it is very break resistant and I still have most of my set from the 70s.
