This RAM kit is specifically designed by Corsair to work well with Ryzen procs but will also work with shIntel CPUs. Bought this set specifically to work with a Ryzen 5700G proc & MSI mobo that I also bought from Best Buy. VERY glad they started selling components again. THANK YOU BEST BUY!! I know alot who say "RAM is RAM" & they may be right, but it's worth it to me to perhaps sometimes pay a little more in order to save time & frustration later from not having to tweak it alot to make it run stable with a particular build. This is more true if it's a build for someone else & especially true if they aren't computer savy like some friends/family we all have. CPUs seem to have gotten more picky about RAM than they used to. That's just me though. I buy Corsair RAM ... MoreThis RAM kit is specifically designed by Corsair to work well with Ryzen procs but will also work with shIntel CPUs. I buy Corsair RAM whenever possible simply because they put the specifications on their website that others leave out like what the SPD is programmed for etc so I know what to expect. No surprises! Other RAM sellers are also good, but I just like to know as much as possible about what I'm spending my money on before I buy it. Never had any problems or surprises with Corsair RAM. Can't say that about some others. Thanks.

I must start talking about my purchase experience. The pricing, as a geek squad member was less expensive at BB than any other retailer. The service of the installers was great as I opted for them to take away my old equipment. This was the easiest, hands-off installation i had for a while. Lastly, the Bosh Dryer is quiet and easy to use. Is so quiet that if it wasn't for the lights, I wouldn't know it was on. I just had it for a month. So, i hope it continues working as good as it has. Also, its very spacious and the dishes are clean even when I don't pre-wash.

This was my 3rd attempt to get a "DUAL RANK" kit at 2x16gb 3200 C16 or 3600mhz C18 . I thank the reviewer soren121 from 8/6/2021 which listed his kit as DUAL RANK. I tried two other 2x16gb 3200/3600 kits before this and both will be returned for refund as they both were single rank sticks. Please do not get DUAL RANK confused with DUAL CHANNEL. All these 2x8gb or 2x16gb kits are DUAL CHANNEL but the memory chip layouts are either in a dual or single rank configuration. I wanted a total of 2 ram sticks in this system but wanted a dual rank configuration. So I knew I either needed to buy 4x 8gb single rank sticks or 2x 16gb dual rank sticks to get where I wanted to be. A good bump in performance running dual rank ram vs previous single rank 2x8gb kit. Took some tweaking to work with my Dell Desktop. After reaching out to Dell support, they told me this would not work with my XPS 8940 even though it's the same RAM in the machine. Typical Dell just trying to get you to overpay for their products. Corsair support recommended taking the Dell RAM out and just using the Corsair RAM. I found a review on Amazon that mentioned a similar situation with a potential solution. First remove the Dell RAM, place the Corsair RAM in the same slots as the Dell RAM, boot the machine, turn it off. Now add the Dell RAM back into the remaining two slots, the machine will turn on but you will have a black screen then it will turn back off by itself. After updating bios these were great sticks with XMP going at 3200MHz. Before updating, XMP crashed my system and I had to do a CMOS battery reset to bring it back to life. If you don't change bios XMP settings you'll be stuck somewhere in the 2100MHz range. Definitely not ideal. Great product though, and no memory errors when I did a Ram test. Works great for my budget i3 upgrade build. Plays games at ultra no problem, programs launch fast, but that also can be contributed to my other hardware installed. Great RAM none the less! Will buy more when I need 32GB upgrade. Also I keep my desktop on the floor so RGB was not neccessary. 3600MHz is not necessary for gaming by the way, and will only increase FPS by a couple frames, if that. Save some money if you're gaming! ... MoreAfter updating bios these were great sticks with XMP going at 3200MHz. Built my original system with this kit 3 years ago, decided to fill out the remaining DIMM slots with a 2nd kit for a total of 32GB. System posted without a problem after making sure the new kit was plugged in all the way. I saw some performance increases during normal use {gaming, browsing, streaming}. Nothing wild, but noticeable! This would be due to this particular kit being Micron B-die memory which is single rank, so 2 or 4 sticks will run in dual channel. Decent upgrade to an AM4 system as they won't see any further in-socket upgrades; just make sure you enable XMP in your BIOS settings to get the speeds it advertises and seat it completely in your MOBO! I picked up this Memory kit to install on my main computer. I then cascaded the previous desktop memory kits around through my other systems so that I can maximize the amount of RAM across all my systems. I teach computer coding to a small group of kids so maximizing RAM can help some of the older systems keep up to what the kids are doing. Installing these memory sticks were easy. Make sure I'm buying the right type and speed of memory to what my computer can use, pop the old ones out, line up the notch for the new ones and firmly press them in until the locks snap into place. Power on the system, acknowledge the memory change in the BIOS and then boot to Windows. I'm not using this memory upgrade for any overclocking so I can't comment on their ability with that ... MoreI picked up this Memory kit to install on my main computer. I was a little apprehensive about using this ram given that it was so cheap (just under 100 bucks for 32 gigs around the black Friday, 2021 timeframe). I figured best case scenario I settle for running under advertised speeds, worst case scenario I run into compatibility issues. I fit this into my new ASRock B550 Taichi with a Ryzen 5 5600X and booted it up. Into BIOS I went and found the RAM recognized at 2133 mhz. ASRock shipped my Taichi with the most recent BIOS and given my expectations, I figured that was probably the end of the story. I booted into Windows and got the rest of my drivers and such loaded, then restarted and booted back into BIOS. Everything felt pretty stable at this point so I enabled the XMP profile for 3600 mhz, exited and saved, and waited ... MoreI was a little apprehensive about using this ram given that it was so cheap (just under 100 bucks for 32 gigs around the black Friday, 2021 timeframe). Still assuming the worst, I checked my RAM speeds and sure enough, the 3600 mhz setting held fine! I haven't stress-tested it yet, but after an hour or two of VR gaming I've experienced no system issues at all! I'll call this a win from every angle!! Thanks Corsair!
Corsair vengeance sticks ticked all the boxes in terms specs for price. Did my research and found that the 3600mhz was a nice sweet spot between processing speed and the latency for my I7-10900k anything faster would mean paying way more for diminishing returns performance wise. 32GB in single channel mode is also reasonable priced leaves room to upgrade at a later point. It's low profile means it doesn't get in the way for the CPU cooler. Don't be drawn in by the first generation DDR5 sticks as you'll be paying through nose for roughly the same performance as the latest generation DDR4's. Also why pay more for RGB?? ;)
I was expecting some troubleshooting since Im mixing brands of ram (2x4gb of patriot ram that came with my pc; 2x4gb of new Corsair ram), but I was pleasantly surprised to see the ram appear immediately in bios when putting the sticks in. It was plug and play. So easy, and it made such a significant difference in some of my games, forza specifically. The reason I was compelled to get more ram was because forza horizon 5 was a stuttering mess even at the lowest setting. As soon as I started the game with my new additional 8gb of ram, it ran perfectly smooth 60 fps at high graphics, and 40-60 fps at ultra. Ive seen the game use upwards of 11gb before, so Im glad that I have the extra headroom in ram to give the game space to do its thing. Really fun game btw.
