Edit: I originally still gave it 3 stars. I am now updating to 1 because of the warranty fiasco. I have 1 working stick of ram. 1 faulty. I am required to send both sticks back in order to warranty out the bad stick. So in other words, I have a computer with 8 working gigs of ram, but I have to wait for however long it takes them to replace both sticks and make my computer non functional for that time. MFBS, that's what that is. I'm not buying Corsair again. Stupid S like this makes them a terrible company to buy from.

I just used this RAM to build my first PC and it's working perfectly so far. I specifically wanted memory sticks that were short, so they would fit under my Noctua NH-D15 CPU cooler, and I didn't care much about RGB since the RAM would be mostly covered by the front fan of the cooler anyway. I do have that front fan practically resting on top of the RAM, but there is plenty of room to back the fan off of the RAM and still have it almost completely covering the heatsink. If your looking for RAM sticks to fit under a big cooler, these are perfect. My build is also in a Corsair 4000D Airflow case, just for reference.

I like Corsair products, lets just get that out of the way. Corsair is a company that I know I can trust and that stands behind their product. Now onto the ram itself. The ram is lower profile than many other sticks available which made it ideal for hiding 4 sticks of it under a CPU cooler fan on my Thermalright Peerless Assassin. Thus far, the ram has performed flawlessly, no BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death), no installation issues, and I know if I have an issue I can contact Corsair. This is a good set for the money. I was looking for something fast and yet affordable. At CL 16 and 3200MHz this was it. additionally, with their buy a CPU and save coupon it ticked all the boxes. This was my 3rd attempt to get a "DUAL RANK" kit at 2x16gb 3200 C16 or 3600mhz C18 . I thank the reviewer soren121 from 8/6/2021 which listed his kit as DUAL RANK. I tried two other 2x16gb 3200/3600 kits before this and both will be returned for refund as they both were single rank sticks. Please do not get DUAL RANK confused with DUAL CHANNEL. All these 2x8gb or 2x16gb kits are DUAL CHANNEL but the memory chip layouts are either in a dual or single rank configuration. I wanted a total of 2 ram sticks in this system but wanted a dual rank configuration. So I knew I either needed to buy 4x 8gb single rank sticks or 2x 16gb dual rank sticks to get where I wanted to be. A good bump in performance running dual rank ram vs previous single rank 2x8gb kit. Beware this CMK32GX4M2D3600C18R kit likely ships in both single and dual rank as I read some people on a different website had single rank kits. This is common now as getting dual rank in 2x16gb is more of a lottery now compared to the past when 16gb sticks were almost all dual rank. Not anymore. These two kits were the first two kits I tried that were both single rank so they are both going to be returned. I picked up this Memory kit to install on my main computer. I then cascaded the previous desktop memory kits around through my other systems so that I can maximize the amount of RAM across all my systems. I teach computer coding to a small group of kids so maximizing RAM can help some of the older systems keep up to what the kids are doing.Installing these memory sticks were easy. Make sure I'm buying the right type and speed of memory to what my computer can use, pop the old ones out, line up the notch for the new ones and firmly press them in until the locks snap into place. Power on the system, acknowledge the memory change in the BIOS and then boot to Windows.I'm not using this memory upgrade for any overclocking so I can't comment on their ability with that ... It appears as though anyone ordering this particular item in 2022 is not getting the real thing. Be wary. I recently received my kit from China in a timely manner, installed it next to my newly installed 5800X3D on a freshly updated X370 BIOS and what do I find? DOCP of 1.35V-3600MHz at 18-22-22-22-42...extremely disappointed. I spent two days pouring over information through Thaiphoon(pulls wrong info and different every time) and the Ryzen DRAM tool(only a couple die options actually would show any results). No amount of tinkering or adjustment would result in anything different from the DOCP. This is clearly an outdated item, did more research after my purchase and it appears to be nearly 4 years old at this point. I don't believe that the original item is ... If you look at the Corsair site, it shows No Stock with no new of restocking, same at the jungle store. I took a chance making the purchase and I kind of knew I was. It will still get used, just posting this a warning for any of you future buyers, do your homework first on this item, if you can get the original thing, I bet it was amazing, this chip I got is garbage.
Since I have a mini ITX motherboard and have a small form-factor PC, I knew I'd have to get an upgrade eventually. Top it off with how often I came close to maxing 16 gigs. . . yeah, you get the idea.As games get more advanced, more memory will be needed for them to run. 32GB is a way of future-proofing a system, and all of them right now seem to run for a similar price at this speed. The kit works just as expected, and plus it can be overclocked so that's a plus if you want faster speeds. If you're looking to build a mini-ITX PC and wonder what memory to get to start with, this Corsair kit can have you covered.
I was a little apprehensive about using this ram given that it was so cheap (just under 100 bucks for 32 gigs around the black Friday, 2021 timeframe). I figured best case scenario I settle for running under advertised speeds, worst case scenario I run into compatibility issues. I fit this into my new ASRock B550 Taichi with a Ryzen 5 5600X and booted it up. Into BIOS I went and found the RAM recognized at 2133 mhz. ASRock shipped my Taichi with the most recent BIOS and given my expectations, I figured that was probably the end of the story. I booted into Windows and got the rest of my drivers and such loaded, then restarted and booted back into BIOS. Everything felt pretty stable at this point so I enabled the XMP profile for 3600 mhz, exited and saved, and waited ... Still assuming the worst, I checked my RAM speeds and sure enough, the 3600 mhz setting held fine! I haven't stress-tested it yet, but after an hour or two of VR gaming I've experienced no system issues at all! I'll call this a win from every angle!! Thanks Corsair!
I'm no deep tech, but every review I've read compliments these RAM banks. Note that if you use a program like Speccy, the RAM will report half the speed rated on the tag. The reason is that dual-channel RAM (double slot) runs twice the speed reported by Speccy. This can be confirmed by using Windows Task Manager and reviewing the RAM speed; the true speed of the RAM banks combined will be displayed there.Brought my system from a comfy 8 gigs to a nice 16 gigs, which is plenty for my needs. MicroCenter had these on sale so am dual-pleased with the purchase. : )
