The ram sticks are awesome. Fast and RGB really bright. What I don't like is the software. 3.5 GB to control RGB? That is all I wanted. Not a fancy gui with lots of things that I don't really care. My mobo is a Asus Rog strix b550 -f and the icue software gave me pain in...to sync the sticks to the rest of my rgb stuff. They DO recognize their software is so buggy when they specifically ask you to download first icue before armory crate, the latter being installed first on first boot.

BUYER be advised that Corsair has started swapping the memory chips in the original product with inferior chips. The original memory chips they were using were Micron Dual rank memory chips, Corsair with out any notification or public awareness has swapped them out with cheaper single rank chips with out changing product number. So people buying them will not know that they are not getting the same product. These cheaper single rank Samsung chips can not keep up with the original memory so your system will not be stable. Corsair will do nothing to fix this and has decided to ignore it. If you are buying multiple kits don't waste your money. At this point I would not recommend them at all. Pros: XMP profiles offer tight memory timings for non-specific high cost modules. XTried in several DDR4 mother boards both AMD & Intel, and no issues with compatibility at all running both XMP (& AMD equivalent) and JEDEC speeds. Even used in 4 x DIMM configurations (sold as dual modules), the RAM chips have all been Micron manufactured so can mix multiple packs of this RAM no problems.Cons: Would like to see faster timings but these are down to how binned the RAM chips themselves are sorted. Price obviously could be cheaper but worldwide economics during this pandemic has created shortages which increase cost.

Slightly pricy RAM, but if you use Corsair products, these integrate flawlessly and look and perform like a dream. You’re paying a little bit extra for the looks, but in all fairness they look amazing. These were plug and play on my AM4 motherboard. Just go into BIOS, set to the proper MHz and timings (or just simply use an XMP/DOCP profile) and you’re good to go. They are very customizable and look great with any build.I keep mine at 3200MHz (rated speed) but I’ve heard from numerous people that these can be clocked higher fairly easily by adjusting timings, voltage, etc. I found no need to do so, as the XMP profile works flawlessly out of the box for my needs.Plug and play RAM that is reliable, fast, and consistent is really all you can ask for; this set ... MoreSlightly pricy RAM, but if you use Corsair products, these integrate flawlessly and look and perform like a dream. If you don’t care for RGB lighting, go with the regular Corsair Vengeance LPX. Same great performance, just not as visually appealing and a bit less expensive.Once I started using Corsair products, I never looked back. I have never had a single issue with any of their offerings, and this RAM is no exception. One tip: wait until they go on sale. You can save a decent amount if you’re patient.
These are great. They look great, perform great, and don't break the bank. The only complaint is that the Icue software doesn't make it easy to sync with the motherboard. The only way I have found to do it was to go and instally the Icue for Legacy devices. If you update to the newest Icue, it won't work (at least as far as I have seen). However, that is the software, not these two RAM sticks, so I won't detract any stars for that.
I upgraded my RAM from 16 to 32 GB's and saw the total price After tax was still way below normal pricing, I had to get this upgrade in my PC asap. It looks great when paired with iCUE software, which picked it up within seconds after logging into Windows. As of right now, it's giving me 25 GB's free to run games or whatever else I want. Not bad coming from 16 GB's, I would have upgraded sooner but the RONA made me wait for chips to get cheaper. I built my current PC with Trump checks & some paychecks. I bought what I could back then, but wish I got 32 GB's from day one. I also just got a 2560x1080 Ultra-wide HDR monitor. Good things come to those who wait, and I waited close to 2 years.
I originally picked up these two sticks of 16 because I previously bought an HP Prebuilt with 8gbs of ram (one stick), and figured that they would just do. I quickly found that not only did they work, but they also weren’t an eyesore, and had easy to use rgb functionality as well. The icue software needed to change the colors and patterns of the lights are very user friendly, and the ram itself is what you expect from giants Corsair: a nice % increase over 8gbs or 16gbs and quick memory utilization in a easy to look at, smooth and polished package.
I installed this in a HP - ENVY Desktop - Intel Core i5 - (12GB Memory) and instantly got a huge boost in capability.I am a software developer. Compiling the Linux operating system from source code takes a lot of RAM as you try to compile things extensively in parallel. By having a lot of RAM, you can take full advantage of the many cores in your processor. If you have a lot of cores, but little RAM, you will be limited. Don't let yourself be limited. Upgrade to a ton of RAM like you'll find here in this two stick bundle.
If you're trying to play with ram timings and customization and whatnot you should probably go for another model/brand. probably the pickiest sticks of ram i've ever owned. and on my board (msi z370 gaming plus) you have to use the xmp and manually input the 1.35 voltage or they wont do the advertised clocks. i think i even had to manually do the timings as well. 16x18x18x36. sad that i remember this. the size of these sticks can get in the way. my noctuas barely fit over these things. so if u have a bulky aoi or fan setup it's probably not worth the headache. also these are supposedly samsung dies. i think its pretty much a given that they arent- the timings give it away. on the plus side, i bought these when they were much cheaper than the low profile ... MoreIf you're trying to play with ram timings and customization and whatnot you should probably go for another model/brand. probably the pickiest sticks of ram i've ever owned. and on my board (msi z370 gaming plus) you have to use the xmp and manually input the 1.35 voltage or they wont do the advertised clocks. i think i even had to manually do the timings as well. 16x18x18x36. sad that i remember this. the size of these sticks can get in the way. my noctuas barely fit over these things. so if u have a bulky aoi or fan setup it's probably not worth the headache. also these are supposedly samsung dies. i think its pretty much a given that they arent- the timings give it away. on the plus side, i bought these when they were much cheaper than the low profile counterparts. but like i said, you wont get to tweak the numbers. and if u do it's neglible and a waste of time. if you just want some stable sticks of ram that perform decent and are on sale this isnt so bad. hope this helps
I previously did not pay attention to which RAM I was supposed to buy for my PC and thought all the Corsair Vengeance RAM was the same. Which I have now learned was incorrect. I was having some issues with my PC and couldn't get my previous Corsair Vengeance RAM to overclock correctly to 3200. When I looked at my Motherboard and which RAM they supported I found that the previous 32 GB version wasn't supported but this guy was. Upon getting these and plugging them into my computer it immediately and automatically overclocked to 3200 without me needing to do anything at all. My boot times are also a lot faster along with getting more frames in games, doing better in video editing, and overall snappiness. I haven't had any issues. So moral of the story make sure you ... MoreI previously did not pay attention to which RAM I was supposed to buy for my PC and thought all the Corsair Vengeance RAM was the same. So moral of the story make sure you check with your motherboard on if it supports the right ram or not before you buy. As it does make a difference and life is easier if you go with one that is supported over one that isn't.These are also the Samsung B Die. Or at least the ones I installed in my system are. Which I suppose is why they are slightly more expensive than others along with being certified? Stipulation there on my part.Oh and RGB lighting is great since we all know that makes you a better gamer.
