I have seen some people express doubts about this product's ingredients. Many people say it's not the % it claims to be. At first, I almost believed that too, because the ingredient list seems a bit weird. But then I applied this serum for like 3-4 days in a row to test it and oh boy...My skin literally peeled! And it peeled for several days. All this is considering the fact that I have continuously used The Ordinary's 1% retinol before. If this product is not the potency it claims to be, then idk what this is. I could be wrong, since this is just my personal experience, but I think it's pretty great!

This is a wonderful retinol serum. I love all the Cos De BAHA serums. It has a very light scent I believe it’s from the natural ingredients and it has no added scent. The color is light yellow, again I believe it’s from the ingredients and there are no added colorants, which is perfect for my sensitive skin The serum comes well packaged - a dark glass bottle of 30 ml size. Well, talking about smart-aging, I cannot say a lot, I have been only using for 2 years.However, this is the most gentle and finest retinol I just have tried yet!My skin tolerated it quite well: this serum did not make my skin red, or itchy, or (over)sensizive. I had horrible experiences with The Ordinary retinol serums (tried the smoothest ones also, I truly wanted to love and use them because they are so cheap... but it broke my trust in their company... So, if you also haved bad experiences with other retinol serums I do understand your doubts and fear of usaging a 2,5% retinol serum.However, I honestly can recommend this product, but keep in mind that every product works differently on everbody's skin.

I am kind of and "experienced" user of retinol. I have been using the Ordinary 1% retinol, Avene night peeling Retin A and others, but not Tretinoin. I was expecting this product to be irritating as it has 2.5% retinol. I have applied on my neck for a patch testing last night and my neck is totally OK. I havent felt irritation nor itchiness.It also has niacinamide, HA, Vit E. Based on my knowledge that retinol is better disolved and absrved when combined with other oil - based ingredientes (Vit E), I am confident that this product, at least, follows a logical composition .I still have Avene Retin A but as soon as I finish it I will start (step by step) with this serum.It feels also very light weight and absorbs fast!
This is a no frills Retinol Serum. I expected more from the product due to the higher Retinol percentage but I didn't see a noticeable difference after 6 months of use. I used this every other night, alternating with my Vitamin C serum. Before this, I was using The Inkey List Retinol Serum every night for about 3 years and my skin built tolerance for Retinol. The Cos De BAHA has a light scent and left my dry, mature skin moisturized and glowing the next morning. The huge, tinted bottle was very easy to use and store on my vanity. I may keep using for the hydration benefits but will stick with other brands for the retinol content.

I'm also gonna order extra as gifts cause it Does something to my early 40ish skin, like, enough for me to notice. Only been using about a month. Also, I believe because I do & have used other Actives as part of my skincare regimen, this did not cause any irritation or peeling.Has it lightened any of my dark spots? No.Has it diminished my fine lines/wrinkles? Possibly? Not so much for me to notice a huge difference but I've also been using other products so this in conjunction, possibly it's helped minuscule.Has it made my skin smoother? Yes! This serum hands down is the surprise of the year for me! I bought it just like "yeah let´s try this one!" Never heard of the brand or the product itself. I usually buy one product that I don´t know just to test it with every order. I stopped using tretinoin after trying this!!!! The results are instant. I have no idea what made the difference also the concentration of retinol is quite high (comparable to prescription stuff). BUT no iritations, skin looks absolutely perfect. Started getting compliments and I am convinced it´s because of this product. Never in my life got in person compliments on my skin and this is the only thing I changed. Buying big bottle ofc and praying they never stop producing this stuff. LOVE IT!!!!
