American people do not appreciate ignorance like you display as a company turning a blind eye to this issue. Take the hit and fix your garbage filters. All the clone filters have the exact same chemical stink. If you didn't know. Now you know! Coway is ran by people who are helpless. They do not respect american's and are money spent. I brought this air purifier for both the aesthetic and efficiency.Aesthetic wise, the black purifier is a minimalistic, modern addition to any room.Efficiency wise, it works better than the winix brand by far. However, I feel that Coway exaggerates the lifespan of its filters. I live in Seattle in a high rise without a lot of dust as the home has its own ventilation and filter. Yet I find myself cleaning out the pre-filters almost every couple of weeks and the filter change only lasted 8 months. For $129 per filter, it seems way too costly to be changing out at half its “expected” lifespan.!

The first year we had our 400S, it detected air quality quickly and responded to change fan speeds as needed, but, aftera year, with a very routine cleaning including cleaning the sensor and intake/exhaust ports, automaticrefuses to adjust fan speed based on air Quality. Fan stay at 1 100% of the time even though Sensor/detection is set to max (Sensitive). Our 400S now stays on low no matter how bad the Air really is. Our other non-Coway Air Purifier responds immediatelyto poor air quality, but, now the only way to use out 400S is fully manual. The 5 Year warranty seem useless to us and wehave a 400S that is now not sensitive at all like it used to be, even set to max/sensitive settings. Manual operation is the only way toget the fan into higher speeds now.

Fantastic air filter! We upgraded from the smaller unit (we have 2) to the Airmega 400 on the first floor of our home. The 400 is amazing at filtering out the the dust and pollen we have year-round in South Texas. We had a cold snap for a couple of days in January (that what is it for winter here), lighting up our wood fireplace for a little warmth. While our home was toasty, the smell of wood smoke was heavy. But, not for long! We ran the unit around the clock, and within a couple of days our home smelled fantastic, the scent of wood smoke a memory. I highly recommend the 400.
Purchased a couple of months ago. Like it so much, I'm going to buy a second one to put at the other end of my house. Quite operation, the smart mode does all the work. Love the filter indicators which let you know when it is time to either clean the pre-filter or replace the main filters. Easy to maintenance and operate. Made a huge difference in the air quality of my bedroom. Significantly less allergy symptoms, less dust accumulating on my horizontal surfaces. The difference was easily noticeable.
I bought this over a month ago. It is okay but I have two main issues. 1. The pre filters.. Having washable filters seems like a great idea, but every time I remove them to clean them the dust, particles, and everything in them is released back into the air. Both times I cleaned them my allergies were irritated. To me this makes the product useless. And yes I clean them when the machine notifies me too. 2. The app is horrible. I have to sign and reconnect my device too much. This is my fourth air purifier machine I have purchased. I have an enviorklens, Molekule, and an I Q Air. This machine might be my least favorite.
I purchased this for my 875 sq. ft. loft apartment with 12 ft. ceilings. Food odors were getting trapped and I'd smell them for days. I also had quite a lot of dust settling on furniture from the ceiling level duct work. I've had this unit for a couple weeks now and it does a very good job of clearning out food odors quickly. I have it set on the smart setting and it will kick up the fan as needed, especially when I'm cooking. The fan noise on the lowest setting is nearly imperceptable and is more than acceptably quiet on the highest setting. It's nowhere near as loud as a regular fan. I have it placed in the most central location possible and I have already noticed a significant reduction in the dust that settles on furniture. Very easy to set up and get running.
I have owned my 400s for 1 week and already noticed a huge difference in my allergy symptoms. I have an older house on a ranch in Texas that was originally built in 1971. I have updated and added all of the modern technology to help make it as energy efficient as possible. However, with the dust, grass and cedar pollen it is impossible to get allergy relief. I have noticed a big change for the better. I no longer have to take my prescription eye drops in the evening when I get home. My house has a large living room, game room, office, bar, kitchen and dining room that are wide open to each other on the 1st floor with a balcony overlooking the living and game rooms. The ceiling over the living area 26’ at the peak and 12’ at the lowest points and the over all width ... MoreI have owned my 400s for 1 week and already noticed a huge difference in my allergy symptoms. The ceiling over the living area 26’ at the peak and 12’ at the lowest points and the over all width is 40’x20’. This unit has no problem taking care of this area. I have it set on smart mode and programmed to run full speed for 2 hours over night. I like being able to control the unit, monitor and track the air quality levels in the app.Tip for connecting the WiFi: When typing in the web address, it will suggest an app link. Just click that, it makes connecting super was easy.
I live in an approximately 1200 sq. foot apartment in a VERY high traffic suburban area. The building was built in the early 1970s, and has not been upkept the greatest. There have been ventilation issues, ongoing construction issues, and several floods over the past 11 years. I'm positive there is mould in the drywall behind the walls. Building management isn't likely going to do anything about it. Therefore, I decided to purchase a Coway air purifier after reading numerous reviews on various websites - including Consumer Reports, which I am a member of. So far, I have not been disappointed. The air quality in my apartment is much better than it was, the Airmega 400 is reasonably quiet (except at the highest fan level - then it's a bit noisy) and I'm very happy ... MoreI live in an approximately 1200 sq. foot apartment in a VERY high traffic suburban area. Looks good and quiet. Self checks air quality in smart mode and adjusts fan speed acordingly. Fan stops when the air quality remains good for 10 minutes. Fan starts when bad air quality is detected or after 30 minues. Air quality indicator is prominently displayed in front using color code. This unit has indicators to let you know when the prefilter needs cleaning and when the carbon/hepa filter needs changing. Unit setup was a breeze. Wifi and mobile app setup was easy and without a glitch! This unit has been setup in my living room. I plan to get another Coway air purifier for my bedroom. I was first impressed by a Coway air purifier in my in-laws living room. I'm glad to have one in my living room now. I highly recommend this product.
