It arrived as predicted, was in condition and easy to set up. Slightly bigger than expected but still aller than other units I've used or seen. Good instructions, easy to use, and very quiet. A light indicates air quality, blue is healthy, red unhealthy, and a mixed purpley color for in between. It has multiple levels of air purification, is generally very quiet until it goes red and kicks into high gear, when it gets noisy. The bedroom unit woke me up when it did this but that's what I have it for, to keep the air I'm breathing clean. I bought 2 units for my 720 sq ft apartment 2-3 months ago. They work great and I'm very happy with my purchase. Recommend buying it through a retailer as Coway's customer service was poor.

Purchased this unit about 18 months ago. Seemed to work okay the first month or so. Shortly after, issues with filter lights coming on although visual inspection everything looked clean. Bought a new set of filters. Same thing. About month three, fine dust particles in the exhaust "clean air" vents. Contacted customer service. Instructed to keep the pre-filter clean and change HEPA and pressure filter regularly on schedule. I informed them they were not dirty, but changed again anyway. Reiterated with customer service that the dust issue was not on nor around the intake, but cooking from the outgoing vents. I tried inspecting the areas around the filters to see if there were gaps, and it appeared that the unit was maybe not holding filters in place right enough to ... Once again customer service released the same schpeal and Said because outside 30 days from purchase they wouldn't replace. So basically the warranty is 30 days. Unit worked well for 30 days but is clearly not designed to work beyond this. Further, if you read the fine print disclaimer: units are tested in very small chambers 13 cubic ft, and in this scenario it takes 60 minutes to obtain their particulate filtration claims. Even the large commercial coway that claims 2,000+ sf and 4,000+ sf coverage, was only tested in a 30 cu meters chamber for particulates, and the same 13cu foot box at 60 minutes to obtain their filtration claims. So you'll need to run in high for 10 hours to "clean" a single instance of pollution and dust in a small bedroom. This machine stirs up more allergens than it filters. "Carbon" filter is mostly cellulose or similar material, not activated carbon. Additionally, their decibel claims are total bogus and inaccurate. Just another air purifier scam company pumping lots of money into marketing and paid five star reviews.

This is my second one as i wanted one for my vacation home. My full time one is next to my wood burning fireplace insert and i’ve had it for 2 years. Amazing how it cleans the air-sometimes the fireplace smoke doesn't go up the flue and enters my home. This powerful machine clears it so quickly. My neighbor borrowed it after her home caught on fire-she loved how it removed the smell from the fire and promptly bought one herself. Must say it keeps the dust down-allergies much better since purchasing the original one! My dog hangs out in the room where it is and it’s amazing. Yes, it can be loud when the air quality registers as poor but thats how i know it’s doing its job. Easy to replace filters and to clean.

I work from home in my dining room / kitchen area, which doesn’t have an exhaust fan. It can feel stuffy and cooking smells can build up. The air filter helps relieve the stale air that just doesn’t circulate out my windows. I like the light indicator feature that will show the changes in the quality of the air. I also enjoy the small tune it plays when it’s turned on and off. It’s bigger than I perceived from the advertised photos, but I made it work in my small apartment. It’s quiet and can filter a lot of air smoothly. I think it has definitely improved with the air quality in my living space, especially living in a city with air pollution and wildfires. I recommend it!
I bought the Coway Airmega Mighty AP-1512HH because of an upcoming construction project that will cause tons of dust. I started using it right away, though and reaped benefits immediately. I was thrilled that my bedroom air produced a blue (clean) light. Though the air appeared clean, the purifier still helped me with sinus congestion from allergies. It was quiet - I hardly heard it running at night and it didn't disturb me at all. When I burned popcorn during popping, my kitchen still smelled horrible the next day. I moved the air purifier to the kitchen and turned it on. A few hours later, even my kitchen smelled fresh and clean. It really works!
At the recommendation of a friend, I bought my first Airmega in fall 2022, when my husband and I had COVID and during a time when wildfires caused our regional AQ to soar. It's hard to know whether the filter actually worked with respect to inside AQ, but I was pleasantly surprised at how much it helped cool the room! We have an old house and, due to narrow ducts, our AC is only moderately efficient in the upstairs bedrooms, which get stuffy. The COWAY emits cold air and really helps to bring the room temperature to a comfortable level at about the same electricity cost as a box fan. This year I bought a second one for another bedroom. So far I have not had the problems others have had with filters or functional failure, but I do not run it all the time. I have not ... I have not yet had to replace any filters. Yes, the light is bright and yes, it is a little bit noisy, but it is white noise that I have adjusted to. Combined with a box fan on the other side of the room, it helped us get through our heat dome (90-100 degrees). Even if the filter is only moderately successful, and I'm not sure about that, the cooling benefit is worth the price!
I think I've had this for over two years now. The only time it gets turned off is during a power outage. So it's basically been running for the equivalent of all of Taylor Swift's private jet flights. I don't even change the filters very often. Maybe a couple times per year. This thing is a tank. I might just go shoot it right now to see if it will stop it. Hundred bucks says it'll outlive me. I actually just stopped by to buy replacement filters. And I saw that other person's review crying about "using it too much". I don't think you can. Manufacturing defects happen. I bet if that person had handled the situation better, Coway would have made the situation right.
I recently purchased two of these amazing beasts! They are absolutely wonderful for cleaning VOC’s & particulates out of the air. I recently moved into a damp basement apartment that had many air quality issues. I have worked for years as an indoor air quality inspector at large corporations, consulting firms, and insurance companies, and wish Coway had been around much earlier! I have run several experiments with the Airmega Mighty, and it has consistently passed with flying colors every single time! Don’t wait, make your home/office a lot safer & healthier by adding these to your indoor environment. Just because you can’t see the toxins does not mean they are not there. Anything from off-gassing of cooking, perfumes/colognes, “air fresheners”, smoke, dust, etc., ... MoreI recently purchased two of these amazing beasts! Anything from off-gassing of cooking, perfumes/colognes, “air fresheners”, smoke, dust, etc., you are constantly being inundated with toxins that you cannot see with your eyes or even smell with your nose. These are some of the very best purchases I have ever made!
We now own 2 of these Wirecutter top pic air filters! They do an amazing job of keeping our air fresh and clean. The first one we bought we ran continuously for a couple years so far. Then we needed one for my husband’s office so got one more! They are beautiful and work well. The only issue we’ve come across is the original one we bought started randomly making this clicking sound, like there’s something that rubs up against the fan sometimes. I think I just need to pull it apart and clean inside, but haven’t gotten around to it. We use both purifiers constantly now though! I get replacement filters on Amazon but might have to start buying them on here if it’s cheaper, just never thought to buy them from Coway before!
I lived with this contraption for one day and then I literally threw it out. It gave off a harsh chemical stink; some other reviewers say this is from the HEPA filter, but I don't know. All I know is that this is an air purifier than pollutes your air. Beyond that, it an ergonomic nightmare. The various filters are hard to install and remove. I set out to remove the HEPA filter to see if it stank but I was unable to remove the first of the three filters. It was tightly wedged in and would not budge--and yes, there are tabs at the top meant to help with the release but they were useless. Then I checked out the cleaning instructions and they are tedious and brutal. I suppose any normal person would have returned the item but I was so mad at this thing, I just wanted ...
