Unfortunately this tin of markers is below the usual Crayola level of quality. The colors are not nearly as intense as their brush marker. They are also not lasting as long. Two, perhaps three of the markers colors are not matched to their caps. The marker tips are ok, although very shallow. The point being somewhere between the much pointier tip of the brush marker and a blunt tip. There are too many neutral colors that are pale and insipid. Not worth the $20 price tag compared to their other marker choices (the one’s in tins). Very disappointing!

This set of markers is complete enough to fill all my marker needs. Perfect for writing, coloring or illustrating. Enough color selection to satisfy even the pickiest artist. My granddaughter loved them so much I gave them to her. Now to buy another for me.

First of all, I LOVE the pretty tin these come in. Makes these markers giftworthy! The markers themselves are nothing special, there's a lot of pens but the colors seem a little dull and there's a lot of very similar looking tones of beige and brown and green. The ink worked well on my thick paper; no bleeding or ink puddles. None of the markers were dried out although a few were VERY pale.
Where to begin; these markers priced at $20 are far from worth it. Not only were a few of the markers dry, they are also notorious for bleeding into each other. I do not mean I used black then tried yellow; I mean I let black dry for an hour and it still bled into the lighter colors. The color selection as well leaves much to be desired which is strange for a 50pc set. There are many strange shades but few common colors for example; I have 9 slightly different greens but no pale pink just 'melon'. Lastly these markers do not come out with a solid color, so expect to move quickly otherwise recoloring an already dry area makes the color darker then before. Save yourself the frustration and spend the extra 10 dollars for a better set. Also will add, these are not for younger kids I am an adult using these.
I got these crayola signature color & detail, 50 count markers and they are great.I love how smooth they write and draw and you can also color with them. When I color I can get the fine details without going out of line. My little girl really likes them and thinks there hers. Now she tries to write more words that she don't know and she loves to color with them.
When I bought this set at Target, it seemed like a perfect tool for my art. I am a miniature artist who makes and sells 1:12 scale furniture. The tin they came in was beautiful and totally impractical. There was no where to see all the pen colors coordinated in one place as a spectrum. So I made myself a shallow wooden tray; 22" long and 7" wide, accomodating all the pens, to be able to see all 50 colors at once. That's when I discovered that I had 20 duplicate colors (10 colors had a twin) and that I was missing 14 colors! What a disappointment! I called the Crayola help line and they were very nice. They issued me a $22 Master Card for my trouble, to reimburse me. I plan to use the card to purchase another set and HOPE to ultimately get all 50 different colors.
The colors are beautiful and when I bought the tin I went through all 50 to check the ink. They worked great and the colors were vibrant. However, I quickly realized that I was missing 10 colors and had two sets of 10 of the same colors. I returned the tin and got a new one, only to have the exact same problem. Not only that, but I was missing the SAME 10 and had doubles of the same 10 as before. I’m contemplating calling Crayola to see if they’ll send me the 10 I need. What a rip off. The picture shows the 5 boxes the markers come in - you can see in the bottom 2 boxes that they’re all the same.
I am really loving my new specialty markers. I love the colors and the tin that they came in. I got this Crayola singature color and detail markers to try! I love this! I love how smooth they hit the paper! The colors a very vibrit too! I really enjoyed trying these I reconmend them to anyone that is a first time user to get these
