I was provided this machine to try and give my honest feedback. I am totally blown away with the capabilities this little, compact machine provides. The cuts are precise. The pen writes and draws flawlessly. The print then cut is out of this world! Totally blown away for a small machine weighing only 6 pounds. This machine definitely takes the Joy and makes it XTRA. I never tried stickers prior to using this machine, and I now found a new favorite thing to create. Thank you Cricut for this wonderful crafting machine!!!

The Joy Xtra is the perfect machine for the crafter on the go, anyone that doesn’t have much craft space, or for those that make smaller projects like cards, shirts, or stickers. At only 6 pounds, it is the perfect size to take to crops. I love that I can cut 8.5 x 11 paper and all the new products on it.

I was provided this machine to try and give my honest feedback. I am totally blown away with the capabilities this little, compact machine provides. The cuts are precise. The pen writes and draws flawlessly. The print then cut is out of this world! Totally blown away for a small machine weighing only 6 pounds. This machine definitely takes the Joy and makes it XTRA. I never tried stickers prior to using this machine, and I now found a new favorite thing to create. Thank you Cricut for this wonderful crafting machine!!!

I did not receive a free machine from cricket or anybody else so mine just arrived from cricket. It took over a week for shipping which is crazy. It should’ve been here within a couple days honestly. But I just opened the box and I can’t even make stickers today which is what I wanted to make because there’s no carrier mat so now I have to find the time to run out go to my local craft store and buy a carrier mat. It honestly should’ve been in this box. I should have been able to open this box and make any craft that I wanted right from the get go. Why isn’t there a mat?!
Let me begin by saying I love my Cricut machines. I have or have had nearly all of them. I had the original Joy machine and when this one came out I was so excited that it could cut a letter sized cardstock paper. I am appalled at the fact that when my machine arrived, there is no carrier mat. I don’t believe it. It is shameful, that with a new machine arriving to my doorstep I am not able to use it as I need right out of the box. With all of my machines I have bought we have always been given at least one mat. Not with this one! Buyer beware! You will need to source your own mat, and with this machine being so new, mats at this point in time are scarce to say the least. I am disappointed in Cricut.
This is the perfect size for the Joy...with the ability to print-then-cut, use 8.5"x11" paper and it uses all the same Joy accessories...win, win, win! The size & print-then-cut feature are the main differences between the Joy Xtra and original Joy machine. And, while it is slightly larger, it is still light and portable! This is a perfect machine for new-to-Cricut users, those with small spaces, or even tweens and teens wanting to start in the Cricut world!And, while I received the product from Cricut to test ahead of time and for my feedback, I am happy to report that it exceeds all expectations. The Joy Xtra is perfect for the home or on-the-go crafter.
I was given the Joy Xtra to test and give feedback. I will say that it has become my favorite for my stickers, and so much more. This compact little machine cuts smoothly and the settings are perfect in it. I make a lot of sticker, and this machine doesn't disappoint! The print then cut feature is perfect. I've done countless other cuts with it too. I've made shadowboxes, insert cards, cut vinyl, iron-on projects, and used all the pens in it. It preformed really great. I love the 8.5" x 12" sized mats and that it uses smart materials too!It's not a very loud machine, and weighing in at 6lbs, it's perfect for travel. It really can make all the popular projects that any hobbiest would want.

I would always take my Joy with me to crafting classes and events (even vacation) because the Maker 3 was just too cumbersome to disconnect and load/unload. This beauty is half the size of the Maker 3 and only weighs 6 pounds! I also appreciate the size of the materials and mats; another advantage of the smaller machine. You can literally fit everything you need in one banker box. I've made stickers, iron-on, vinyl decals, printable vinyl, labels, and printable iron-on for dark fabric - all without issue. I love the new Cricut Joy Xtra! I have the Joy and it’s great for fast & small projects but I use it more for home organization than actual crafting projects. With the Xtra having Print then Cut and an 8.5” cutting space - I have been able to use it for most of my projects and have used it the most as it can be kept easily on a small piece of my desk. I love having a machine so close to me to help me make up more projects whenever I want! This will be easily my most used Cricut machine!
I love that they made the new Cricut Joy Xtra. I always found my Cricut Joy the easiest machine to use and I love that it is compact and easy to travel with, but the size of the projects I could made with it was restricted. I love that they came out with the Xtra! It's just a tad bigger than the Joy but just as compact and easy to travel with! I love that I have the same convenience of the Joy, but I can also make bigger projects for shirts, totes, etc. The best part is that it has Print then Cut features! What an awesome new addition to the Cricut family!
