I spent a lot of time thinking about buying a Cricut. Where, what model, do I really need one. I finally just bought my maker from the Cricut website and I am pleased to say I don't regret my purchase. The champagne color is beautiful and I am so excited about the world of crafting opportunities ahead of me with my Cricut.

I wish I had done more research before we purchased this item. Yet again tonight I am sitting reading online yet another disappointing fact that if I want to cut matboard it has to a certain size which is less than the size of your cutting mats. Why? Why not make the machine large enough to accommodate all materials you claim you can cut on the size of the mat that we have to cut it on. It’s 1 inch difference and the matboard I want to cut fits within the constraints of the cutting mat. These machines are not cheap and I bought it actually help reduce the amount of work I have to do by hand and I’m not getting as much use out of it as I wanted. If your mat allows cuts to up to 12 inches wide make sure that all materials work on that size or make the machinean inch bigger to accommodate a deep cutting tool that needs a little bit more space. I’m on the fence of whether I would recommend this to anyone. It seems like you promised it as a more versatile craft machine but in actuality it’s very limited on the things it can do well with. The starter bundle that we got with it was geared towards the things it does well. The thing about it is that those things are not the items that I was hoping get help with. It was the other materials that are actually difficult to cut well by hand.

I am pretty happy with my Cricut Maker 3. I just felt I have found something the I really like to do. I have been making mugs since I bought the machine and have learnt how to navigate when I get stock. Putting videos on my fb to share to my friends. And they get very excited what projects I will make next using my Cricut Maker 3.

Machine is great. I had a little trouble using the recommended blue tooth with PC. Keep losing the connection but the usb cable works just fine. Does a great job. Still learning and gathering the other tools and materials to make full use but have managed to transfer some of my own designs to smart vinyl and cut out fabric shapes based on my drawings. The machine is very accurate.
I love the Cricut Maker! I'm so glad I got this bundle. I enjoyed the vinyl materials and tools that came with it. I had to buy other supplies (housing/blades, mats, roll holder, etc.), but it was worth it! I already got a few personal orders lined up and am so happy I can use for others. I even got my boyfriend interested. Mind you, I've been pestering him about this since the first Cricut maker came out and he was dreading the day I got it. Turns out, he enjoys it as much as I do.
Thia is my second maker 3. I would give it a better rating but my first one shorted out 3.months after the warranty was up and other than a $50 credit towards another machine with free shipping there was nothing that cricut could do. My advice is pay for the extended warranty.I do love the functionality of the maker 3. I have done several projects with it and it is easy to learn. I have been successful designing on my phone and sending to machine for cutting as well.
Having had a 1-1 workshop I was happy to purchase. I wanted something that would develop my crafting and not replace like for like. The flexibility to make my own designs as well as download others is excellent. The fact it will cut so many different materials is exciting. Brilliant service from Hoobycraft, I feel I can pop in and ask a question or sound out an idea.
This machine is brilliant, I have only had it for a few weeks but I have made so many things so far. It cuts fabric with a rotary blade(you have to buy this separately) and the smart vinyl means no mat. I have just purchased the little heat iron and am going to use the iron vinyl on some projects. This has opened up so many more crafts just in a few weeks. Well worth the price.
This is our first Cricut. We were so excited however, now regretting purchasing this unbelievably complicated money pit. Would be nice if Design Space was user friendly for starters. Especially since you pay for the POORLY designed ‘Design Space’. It’s a guessing game leading you down a path of total confusion / trial & error while wasting material trying to figure it out. Makes the company more money the more materials you have to buy only to destroy. Am I supposed to be on a wild goose chase searching for what each function means? Oh & this machine is supposed to be faster than the others??? I can’t imagine anything being slower than this! The bundle is a joke. Thanks for the duplicate tool set. All around this is so unbelievably disappointing. Total junk!
It’s been a real headache to get it to work properly. I tried everything and I kept getting the same error with the blinking red and white light. Called customer support multiple time with absolutely no fix. Not worth the headache.
