Obviously a great fit for the Cricut Joy. Tacky, but not overly so. Easy to transfer materials on and off without fuss. Honestly, I’ll probably get another one for my one-off projects where I just use and xacto knife. I just wish they had more colors, except they do but only to distinguish the grip levels. Standard grip is always green.

I bought this not knowing that there were two inside!!!! After I starting using my circuit machine and learning how to use the mat, I was relieved to find the additional mat inside the pack!! It came in handy when I made my first layered vinyl project. I was able to load my material on the extra mat while the other mat was in the cutter!! So incredibly convenient!!!! Michaels has everything you need to start making beautiful projects with your Cricut!! Happy Crafting!!!

I received my Cricut and the mats 2years ago. Around holidays, I use my Machine and mats quite a bit. I still have my original mats but using glitter paper has made them less sticky, even my strong bond mat. I just bought new mats and I’m amazed at the difference. My advice-buy new mats when they go on sale. It makes a world of difference!

My advice-buy new mats when they go on sale. It makes a world of difference!
These mats can last a long time with proper care. Try never to touch the adhesive with your fingers, the oils degrade the adhesive. After use, spray the mat with adhesive and ensure each part of the mat is reached. Use your scraper to GENTLY scrape off any excess materials left after your project. Use paper towel to dry off the mat except for the adhesive part. Leave that to dry naturally. Rotate your mat and move your material cut location, especially when doing small designs which take up only a small portion of the mat. For example move cut location to the middle of your mat. This ensures the adhesive on top left corner of the mat isn’t comparatively degraded versus the rest of the mat. I’m very happy with my mats. I can always rely on Michael's for any last minute needs. I was using my cricut for a work project and I forgot my mat. I was able to walk in an out Michael's with new mats and the best part was that they were on sale! They are always good quality and they serve it's purpose! Plus it helped me print wording in other languages (Arabic, Dari, & Amharic) for our family center.
Although I do own both Cricut and Silhouette machines, I use these mats on both. Not only are they a much better price ,but they're also more rigid of a mat. As far as adhesiveness, I find both Cricut and Silhouette mats equal and they both stay sticky about the same amount of usages (depending on material used). However these being more rigid mats makes them last longer in the sense that you can clean them up more easily, you can use painters tape on the corners of your paper to hold them down when the mat is less sticky. Where as if I do that with an old silhouette mat, it just flops over and it's just too flimsy. I also find that the Cricut brand goes on sale more often, making it overall a great deal.
This is a must have for the cricut explore air 2. it provides the foundation for all of your work. It works great, just as designed. Tip. If you have pets, keep them away. Anything will stick to this surface! and then you are picking hairs off of it for 15 min so that your work surface is perfect.
This strong grip mat definitely is what you want to use for card stock, especially glitter card stock. I was ruining card stock by using the standard grip mats with less adhesive. When I used the strong grip it held the thicker paper in place as needed. It’s pricey but it does work well.
So I didn’t order a bundle, my machine came with only a blue mat & pen! So I had to buy all my accessories & materials to get started! In all honesty I was a bit overwhelmed by prices, & worried bc the cost of everything does add up; and quick! But I knew I would regret not getting every type of mat since obviously they’re 1 of the main components to any cricut! & I can’t say how happy I am with this mat! I bought this mat about 4-5 months ago, & yes I use it at least 3-4 times a week, at least! Mostly with faux & genuine leather! 1 mistake I will mention is that I used suede on 1 & the mess it left was plain ridiculous! BUT it did cut it so beautiful, so I can’t honestly complain! These cutting mats work great in my Cricut Maker 3. They hold their stick for a quiet a while. I use different materials, and I have found that i works better if i use a different one for the different materials. It seems to help make them last longer. They are nice and thick and help protect my work and blades. They are a little pricing for something that you have to constantly replace, but I like them way better than the Cricuts smart material
