Crown and Anchor, a game of dice dating back to 18th-century Britain, is played with three dice and a board/mat. The mat has six equally sized spaces, each with a different symbol: crown, anchor, heart, club, diamond and spade. The six faces of each die match the symbols. The banker takes the bets and then rolls the dice. If the symbols that were bet on match the face of any of the thrown dice, the player wins the bet. If there are no matches, the banker keeps all wagers. The game comprises a mat with 6 different symbols (crown, anchor, diamond, spade, club & heart) and three dice with corresponding symbols on their faces. Crown and Anchor is a fun gambling dice game that used to be played by sailors. Traditionally bets are placed on the symbols on the mat and the bet is won if the symbol on the die matches when thrown. For ages 8 and up.
