I have one main 4k monitor connected directly to my notebook via HDMI and two 1080p through the dock. I tried upgrading it to have a 100Watt power supply ( started with a 60watt) and this thing still beeps and fails and drives me crazy.I get the feeling that this thing is overreaching trying to be a single USB connection. I wasted money on this. I regret not insisting on testing before buying and should clearly have spent the bigger bucks on something proven.Expect to see plenty of these used as new on Trade very soon :-)

In addition to my previous review, I have tested that the VGA port is just a mirror to the 2nd HDMI port. So you cannot actually get a triple display as what this product advertised directly from the 2 HDMI and 1 VGA ports on this dock.Additional interesting thing I found out with my HP ZBook is that, if I use the 2 HDMI on this dock, my built-in HDMI stopped working. So basically you can only use 2 displays from this docking station. The third display will be your laptop screen.Another interesting thing is that, if I use the builtin HDMI of my zbook, and use the VGA port of the dock, non of the dock HDMI worked. But was able to the builtin HDMI with another dock's HDMI.My finaly setup was builtin HDMI (2560x1440), dock's HDMI (1920x1080) and Laptop screen ... MoreIn addition to my previous review, I have tested that the VGA port is just a mirror to the 2nd HDMI port. I was looking for a USB C docking station so that my son could plug his laptop (which he uses for school) into a dual screen work station with plug in ethernet and a full size blue tooth keyboard and mouse, originally I was going to go with a J5 create but as there was a significant delay on stock I was offered this as an alternative.I had expected it to be plug and play, and while the ethernet and blue tooth keyboard and mouse worked ok, I could not get the dual monitors to work. I spent several hours switching plugs and monitors and trying to find cruxtech hardware drivers (good luck with that). But to no avail. I spent several hours switching plugs and monitors and trying to find cruxtech hardware drivers (good luck with that). But to no avail. When I went back to PB tech they identified the issue straight away. While USB C is a plug type the USB C ports on computers vary, some do data, some do power feed, some do audio/video, some do all or a mix of out of 3 many do just 1. There is normally a little picture by the USB C port which should tell you what it does. While my sons computer was relatively new (3 months old) and well specd' the USB C port was data only.PB tech were very good and offered me a part exchange against an upgraded docking station (the Dell 3100 USB A). I was advised that the more industrial docking stations which come with their own power feed have more smarts built into the box, so you can generally just plug and play. In this case it worked.I think the Cruxtech is probably good value in terms of what you get, but check out your computers USB C port to see if it will handle the jandel
