64GB - HP Envy 16-h000 (Envy 16T) - Be Patient on First Boot
5 March 2023RP

originally posted on crucial.com

Even though the POST with the original 16GB (2xGB) takes approximately 5 seconds, there's no warnings from Crucial to be patient after installing the 64GB (2x32GB) DRAM. The initial POST takes about 90+ seconds to complete and the screen remains black during this time with no indicators that anything is happening. I spent a lot of time testing many combinations believing that after 30-45sec there was a problem with the new memory.Subsequent POSTs take about 5-8 seconds and the BIOS correctly reports the new memory.Note: I also installed a Crucial 1TB SSD at the same time, so that added to the diagnosis time.

IMO, Crucial is the best RAM for the buck. Sure, there are others, but Crucial always has what I need for the price range I'm looking for and always the right fit. Installed in my new laptop as an upgrade from the original 16GB. Have purchased RAM from Crucial before and never had any problems. Works perfectly. Great for anyone looking to upgrade their laptop RAM without breaking the bank and making sure it's the right fit.

Great product, dramatic improvement in my laptop performance

I have a well-equipped multi-media laptop with 16 gig RAM. I needed a RAM update for video editing, and got 64 Gig for a reasonable price. It felt like I had bought a new computer.I especially appreciated the support agent, who made sure I got the right product for my laptop. I'm not experienced with this, and the support person was incredibly helpful.

Great way to upgrade my new Dell XPS
4 December 2023

Used this to upgrade my XPS 17 9730 right out of the box. Dell was having a sale on a 16Gb model and I wanted at least 32Gb. Figured as long as I was opening it up might as well max it out with 64gb.Popping the back of the Dell was a little trickier than I expected, especially since I didn't want to break or mar a new spendy laptop. Once the back was off popping in the new memory (and adding a second M.2 drive) was super easy and way less expensive than letting Dell do it from the factory. Now what do I do with the old 16Gb?

Improved Performance For a Good Price!
8 August 2023

I purchased the Crucial 32GB upgrade for my Lenovo Legion Pro 5 computer (12th generation Intel I7 processor) which was purchased with only 16GB of RAM. The most demanding tasks I perform on the computer are related to post processing photographs using Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop Elements and the Topas Suite (Topaz DeNoise AI, Topaz Gigapixel AI and Topaz Sharpen AI). I have seen a definite improvement in the processing speed of the Topaz programs and in many of the processes in Lightroom. I did some research on-line about the optimum amount of RAM for photo processing and found several recommendations for having 32GB of ram, and that for the most part 64GB of RAM would be overkill. I've had very positive results with Crucial RAM upgrades in the past and I like there guarantee/return policies. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Crucial RAM chips.

Real nice Ram. I would buy this again!
4 January 2024

I upgraded the DDR-5 in my Alienware X17 R2. It had 32 Gigs of DDR-5 3200 MHz ram. The new ram from Crucial is DDR-5 4800 MHz ram with the same timings as the stock ram. I upgraded to 64 Gigs of ram because of Diablo VI. It now loads more of the game into ram than previously. It now loads between 26-32 Gigs of the game into memory. It now plays so much faster! This is GREAT!I also noticed that surfing the web is much faster. I did not think that the web pages would load so much faster!

Simple replacement once you figure out how
10 May 2023

The memory went in simple and Windows automatically recognized it.The only difficulty was getting the cover off. After taking out the screws I could not find a gap between the back cover and the main body to start prying it off the latches. All of the people on youtube seem to just magically get it done or I'm guessing forced it. I happened to have a suction cup and used that to get one corner unlatched and then just ran my fingers along the rest of the cover and gently pried/pulled it off. Very easy once I tried the suction cup. My laptop is the Legion 5i, but I assume this technique will work on other laptops with a smooth back.

Super fast!
14 February 2023

The fastest ram yet. It's incredibly fast. $124 for 32GB DDR5 at 4800mhz. Incredibly easy to install and nothing has to be done. Expect the laptop to take a minute to process once you turn it on. After the initial setup which is all handled by the laptop, the next time you boot will be LIGHTNING FAST. My laptop boots in less than 8 seconds. B&H has awesome incredibly expeditious ship times as well. Cheap also. Overnight shipping for $18. Buy it here!
