Will buy again but maybe the GAN356 RS Magnet because like on the reviews that I have watched it is good but the sloppiness because it doesn’t have a magnet but all in all legit product. It's been a month since I bought this cube, many many many solves have been done on it. The shipping took 3 days, came in a large box full of carton strips, and because of that it came in a spotless condition, albeit quite wasteful.\n\nThe cube was scratchy out of the box (as is natural for a new cube), came in a nice smooth matte finish although with break-in it turns glossy. So swift in fact, that I'm not used to it. Every cube I have bought are cheap. Even if this seems more pricier, it is absolutely worth it. Yes, competition-grade. I can see why it is a beloved among the speedcube community.

Great (but still not amazing) value!

I bought this cube off the premise that it was a GAN 356 X but with a different core, no interchangeable magnets, and for almost half the price. It did not disappoint. Turning is smooth and fast OOTB with a small tad of crunchiness. Compared with the X V1 and XS (both of which I do not own but have tried), the turning is lighter but has a similar feel to the X V1, and is not as light or smooth as the XS. The magnet strength is similar to the medium setting on the XS, giving it a subtle click when turning that gives a slight bubbly feel. It comes OOTB with the blue (second weakest) springs set to 0.6 (the tightest) tension, and in this state it is usable but to me it was slightly too unstable. Though I feel like the blue (second weakest) and purple (weakest) springs are too flexible to use for two-handed solving, I think that they would be good for one-handed solving as they make the cube very fast and easy to turn. As for the frosted coating on the tiles, they are slippery at first, but you do get used to it and the coating apparently does rub off eventually. All in all, even though this is still a 32$ puzzle, it does still represent good value for money compared to GAN's other magnetic cubes.

Really great cube for the price

The only time I've ever felt a GAN cube was when I borrowed my friend's 11M Pro at a competition and the feeling of the 356M is quite similar, but keep in mind this is coming from someone who averages low 30s, so my opinion might be disagreed upon by perhaps better cubers who have been cubing for longer. Point aside, if you want a really good cube out of the box with corner magnets but aren't ready to make the commitment of buying the expensive GAN flagship, this one is for you.And by the way, I found out that if you want speed and a hint of control, add Angstrom Dignitas to a corner and an edge piece then put two drops of DNM-37 into the cube itself. Turns like butter

This cube is amazing! It turns really smoothly and corner cuts pretty well. The actual cube looks really nice and is really light weight. It turns really fast which is kinda awkward to get used to but it will immediately improve ur solves. I bet my pb (now 1 minute 47 seconds) with this cube first try! It is kinda pricey (really cheap for a gan) but is definitely worth it for beginners

Very happy

It's a terrific cube for what it is. It is beautiful and streamlined. It's very light, and the magnets, are just right. It's got pretty decent corner cutting (though, it still locks up once in a while), and it's very fast. My son and I both cube and I bought this for my son (8 years old) as a gift for getting sub 30, and he managed to cut several seconds off his time with this cube.I gave this four stars because it's a little pricey for a cube that isn't maglev. (After using a maglev cube, I'm completely sold on that technology.) $35 is what a maglev cube should cost because it's new technology. But this is what my son chose and he loves it. (I enjoy using it too).

kinda overrated

so this was my main a while back bc i didn't really have any other good cubes. I thought it was a little big, probably because i switched from the guhong v3. the corner cutting isn't really that good even on the loosest setting. i would not reccomend this cube, especially because its almost 2024 and this cube is just outdated, plus you can buy the tornado v3 standard for cheaper, which is just a straight up better cube in every category. dont reccomend
