This Cuisinart 7.6l stockpot features a classic mirrored finish, meaning your rigatoni sauce or hearty beef stew will not only taste great, but will look swanky on the stove. And who wouldn't want cookware that looks (and cooks) this good. This stockpot is ideal for everything from making large-batch soups to boiling corn on the cob to simmering stock. Chef's Choice Classic cookware is triple ply, with two layers of 18/10 stainless steel surrounding an aluminium inner core. The resulting even heat distribution cooks your sauces and soups thoroughly--there are no "hot spots" or other flaws. In addition, the stockpot's stainless-steel handles stay cool on the stovetop, while the pot's tapered edges deliver drip-free pouring. To prevent flavour from leaking out the top, Chef's Choice Classic cookware features tight-fitting lids, which seal moisture and nutrients while cooking. The flavorful results speak for themselves.

This stock pot produces a metalic taste to the food I cooked. I washed it before using it to cook stew beef/onions and at the end rice. (yesterday July21, 2023).About 45 minutes later had major explosive stomach issues and a horrible metalic taste still in my mouth as of today. (Saturday July 2, 023).

This is a great stock pot. The first thing I made was a roast pork with veggies. I browned the pork on top of the stove, filled it with carrots, celery, potatoes, some chicken stock and water. From the stove top, I put it in the oven, and 4 hours later I had a great roast pork dinner. Nothing stuck to it and it cleaned up great. I will be slowly replacing my cookware with stainless.

I needed cookware that would work on my new induction stove. This pot replaced my trusty Cuisinart stock/spaghetti pot. It has all the characteristics I was looking for. Fun watching water boil so fast compared to gas stove!

I got tired of using non-stick and being worried about the toxic chemicals being used to manufacture cookware. I have been converting all of my cookware to stainless steel, including making coffee, Had this pot for few weeks now, its very similar to Instant pot, if you saute in low heat its fine. When using higher heat make sure there is enough oil/ water. Use a flat wooden spatula to kindle it often. To people who complain that food stick while cooking in this pot - Please think while you are cooking!Giving it 4 stars, Cuisinart could have insulated the handles even better so it does not get hot when handles are held. Believe there is bit more engineering that could have been done there.Cuisinart, please keep making quality and affordable stainless utensils, I ... MoreI got tired of using non-stick and being worried about the toxic chemicals being used to manufacture cookware. I bought the 6 quart pot with lid about two months ago and use it a few times per week on an induction stove top. It is a good pot for the price and seems well made. I use it mostly to steam vegetables, and it does well with that. The metal is relatively thin compared to more expensive pots, so it might dent with rough use, and the bottom does not distribute heat as well as some more expensive or heavier pots. However, it is perfectly serviceable for steaming, and even for stews and soups. My five star rating takes into account that the quality is very good considering the relatively low cost. Having spent a lot more on other pots, I can't say that they are proportionately better. Also, the pot is relatively light weight for its size, so easy to manage and wash. I prefer a see-through lid, but this stainless lid does the job and is oven proof. I am very satisfied.
I LOVE my Cuisinart pots and pans! I bought this 3 piece set to go with my other set, which I have had for well over 20 years and which is STILL going strong and looking very nice. I'd like to say I treat them with utmost care, but the truth is, I'm a pot slinging, pan dropping, hot mess...which simply goes to show what kind of quality Cuisinart represents. You'll love them, too, and they make a SUPERB gift. My Mom and Dad gave me that first set, those long 20 years PLUS, ago. Thanks, Mom and Dad!
I’ve only used this pot once. It works excellent on my glass top stove. The pot conducts the heat very evenly. It’s a nice size if you’re making a larger amount of something like a pot of chili for a cold day or some chicken soup. Would buy again.
BBB's web page includes a product photo, description, and features list for the Cuisinart Chef's Classic Stainless Steel 8 qt Stock Pot. The product image, description, and features list indicates this pot comes with a "snug fitting" GLASS lid. This is an INACCURATE description. The item I received does NOT have a glass lid. The lid is a light-weight, flat, metal lid that wobbles around the rim of the pot. This ill-fitting lid will not keep contents moist during cooking and I anticipate the lid will clang about during the boiling/cooking processes.I am disappointed with the metal lid. This lid is inconsistent with lids for this product line.
I purchased my Cuisinart stockpot because I installed an induction range and my beloved soup pot no longer worked. I look at several stores that sell similar products, but in every case their offerings were prohibitively expensive. I was very happy to be back in the soup-making business for a reasonable price! I'd have preferred a pot slightly smaller in diameter, but this one is working well!
Nice heavy bottom but not terribly heavy overall. Great size for small family.Currently used mostly for cooking down tomato sauce or water bath canning tiny batches of jam. Previously had only a 3 quart for sauce or 16 quart aluminum canner - this fits perfectly in between. Love the markings on the interior.Just remember to use a pot holder when grabbing the lid handle!
