I bought this stockpot based on the description that it was 10” deep as stated on the webpage. It is only 7” deep, but it is 10” wide. So I have to return it. Please correct this description, Macy’s. It is incorrect. It is a beautiful pot however, just not what I needed.

My wife and I have decided to do away with all aluminum cookware and convert to stainless and cast iron. The first pots we bought were very thin stainless and everything burned and stuck in them. The cuisinart pot is excellent thickness and quality, food does not burn as easily as the thinner cheaper pots. You can feel the difference when you pick it up. The handles don’t burn your fingers when you’re cooking. The pot is very easy to clean and I’ll never give up my cuisinart cookware. Each month we add a new piece. We love them and highly recommend them.

I have the 9 quart Chef's Classic and have used it for years. I needed a 12 quart, so I bought it on Amazon. Arrived in perfect shape and since then have made gallons of soup and gallons of homemade pasta sauce - beautiful equipment! Gitcha one, you won't regret it!Rich

I bought the 6 quart pot with lid about two months ago and use it a few times per week on an induction stove top. It is a good pot for the price and seems well made. I use it mostly to steam vegetables, and it does well with that. The metal is relatively thin compared to more expensive pots, so it might dent with rough use, and the bottom does not distribute heat as well as some more expensive or heavier pots. However, it is perfectly serviceable for steaming, and even for stews and soups. My five star rating takes into account that the quality is very good considering the relatively low cost. Having spent a lot more on other pots, I can't say that they are proportionately better. Having spent a lot more on other pots, I can't say that they are proportionately better. I like the short handles on both sides - takes up less room in storage and on the stove. Also, the pot is relatively light weight for its size, so easy to manage and wash. I prefer a see-through lid, but this stainless lid does the job and is oven proof. I am very satisfied.
An excellent pot for making Gumbo with a roux for a large crowd. The roux doesn't burn, and the gumbo comes out delicious! I feel like I made a very wise purchase--good quality for the cost!
Thank you so much to the Cuisinart team for replacing the cracked lid on this stockpot. Customer services was so helpful, kind and I was provided a replacement lid. This gesture by Cuisinart now makes me a supporter when I purchase future kitchen supply needs.
The pot is sturdy and of good quality. My food heated and cooked evenly.I wish the lid handle had a coating, it becomes very hot when covering food (while cooking as many recipes call for food to be covered). If perhaps it had a silicon coating or similar coating it would be safer to handle. The lid fits nicely however and even fits another pan I happen to have.Cuisinart, please consider coating the lid handle (which comes in contact with radiant heat from the cooking surface and sides of the pot) with a heat resistant substance.
I purchased my Cuisinart stockpot because I installed an induction range and my beloved soup pot no longer worked. I look at several stores that sell similar products, but in every case their offerings were prohibitively expensive. I was very happy to be back in the soup-making business for a reasonable price! I'd have preferred a pot slightly smaller in diameter, but this one is working well!
I bought this pot to have a slightly larger one to make soup in a larger quantity. It feel sturdy but not too heavy. I like the measurements on the inside of the pot. Good quality for a reasonable price.
I like this stock pot! I chose this one out of all of the others that I've reviewed because of the reputation behind the name. It has a good heft to it. The lid fits somewhat tightly. When I sear meat it comes out perfectly crispy and non-stick. The water boils within minutes. I do recommend this pot.
