Just one nitpick to start off: the machine is NOT stainless, it's painted flat grey. It looks like Cuisinart used to make Stainless, Grey and Black models under the same part number, but this unit is absolutely painted flat grey. One star off for the description not being accurate.BUT looks aren't as important as how it works, and it makes GREAT bread, I've been through 4 loaves since I got it last week and not a bad one in the bunch. Instead of the recipe book I've been using recipes from whatever flour brands I've been able to buy and the white, half wheat, and whole wheat all came out great. Big hit withe the family.I've seen some mention of noise in the reviews, it does make a little rumbling when kneading, but it's quieter than our old 90s-vintage ... MoreJust one nitpick to start off: the machine is NOT stainless, it's painted flat grey. Small price to pay for the great baking bread smell!Pic included of a half-wheat loaf and a smaller whole wheat rump. These lasted maybe a day in my house before everyone had eaten them.

I thought all bread machines were about the same, but this one has some unique features that I really love. Signals to tell me when to add stuff, and signals to tell me when to remove the kneading paddle so that my loaf will only have a small hole in the bottom, instead of baking the paddle into it. Love that. Made my first loaf yesterday - using the beer bread recipe found in the enclosed cookbook. The crust came out lighter than expected, but the bread was delicious.I had a concern about my machine when it first arrived, so I called Wayfair, and they addressed all my concerns until I was perfectly satisfied. It was refreshing talking to a live person who was friendly and understanding - and understandable, too.

This bread maker is incredibly easy to use. Many times we prefer a French baguette over the loaf and the machine STILL makes it easy. It will let out a loud beep (yes we can hear it over the tv), after it rises before it cooks. We can then take out the dough, form it, let it rest and put in a 450° oven (with some hot steamy water on the rack underneath) and cook for 40 mins. It comes out perfect every time. It includes a small recipe book, and the machine itself does different size loaves, and crust colors etc. There is even a mix in button and will let out a beep when it’s time to add in your special ingredients. It is amazing and the loaves aren’t tall towers, they are more rectangular. So no more weird tall bread like other machines.

I purchased this bread maker recently and just started using it. The manual was tricky to comprehend until my mother in law and I read through a few times. The setup was easy and it only takes a few steps to program the setting you want. It has 13 preset programs and a custom option. I was able to use the #1 basic programmed setting to make this 1.5 lb loaf. It did everything for me once I added the ingredients. After 3 hours my bread was ready to come out and cool off. The bread maker was fairly quiet and didn't give off much heat like the oven does. Plus it was really easy to clean up. I would recommend this bread maker to anyone who appreciates a good bread. It can also make dough for items you want to bake in oven after, it can make jams and much more!
This bread making machine has 12 preprogrammed menu options, including three crust settings. The loaf size can vary from one pound up to two pounds per cooking cycle. If you need a slightly larger capacity, check out the Breville BBM800XL. There is also a 13-hour time delay option if you want fresh bread when you wake up in the morning. You can even set the Cuisinart CBK-100 to make jam and chutneys for spreading on the bread once it’s ready. The design of the bread maker requires a lot of space. It’s 18 inches long and has a height of 15 inches. The outer shell is made of thick, stainless steel and black plastic, with convenient carrying handles on the side. You place the ingredients in a hinged lid on top and it drops the mix into an interior cooking pan.The Cuisinart CBK-100 is an automatic bread maker that invokes a factory quality feeling. The bread machine is loud, large and sturdy. It offers many settings, including options for those on a gluten-free diet. It also has a unique backup feature that makes sure you still get perfectly cooked bread even after a power failure, I recommend it over and over again. I love that hot bread right out of the maker smothered in butter it's so delicious 😋
Our family loves bread, especially homemade bread. That's why we bought a Cuisinart breadmaker a long time ago. This was the best decision. Very high quality breadmaker, very good company. I've had it for how many years and it's like new. There were no problems with her. The bread turns out just great. It is very compact and can be placed anywhere. It is also multifunctional, baking bread, making dough, and raising it. I recommend this company.
Bought it when got pregnant. Couldn’t make the bread by myself anymore so bought it! Didn’t think a bread made by machine can taste so delicious! I love this bread-maker! We tried many times breas made by machine but I didn’t like it, but gave it a try. I can say this machine does it better, the bread is fluffy and also baked proportional, and have a nice gold crust! It makes a maximum 2 lb loaf. Also is great that in this machine you can do many types of bread such as: Italian, French, whole wheat, gluten free, sweet, cake, pasta dough, with jam... ect. Also with it comes a book of great recipes! If you don’t have time by doing it from scratch but live homemade bread give this machine a try, and won’t regret it!
I was debating on getting a bread machine and so glad I did since it takes on the tedious work of kneading. Using a bread machine is a learning curve and make sure you read the manual and place ingredients as ordered. Use primarily the dough setting as I prefer to do the 2nd rise, shaping into a loaf pan and then cooking in the oven. It does fine if you decide to use it to cook. How this works best for me is making sure everything is room temp then placing ingredients in bread pan per stated order. Any time I try to use warmer ingredients the bread falls. As the bread machine warms while kneading and resting also use Vital Wheat Gluten since that is a very helpful ingredient if you want fluffy sandwich bread or any other bread. The only negative is the read out. ... MoreI was debating on getting a bread machine and so glad I did since it takes on the tedious work of kneading. Not backlit so have to keep a flashlight near by in order to see where it's at in the process. Lets you know when it's kneading, resting, rise, and baking. Pretty big and has not walked off my countertops but I have basic white plain countertops so that may bea good thing. It was a much cheaper option for me at thing time vs getting a stand mixer and happy with my choice.
I ordered just the seal but received a complete set with clips and washers - nice surprise. The seal works very well. The install is a bit tricky : be patient and careful, follow seller's instructions precisely - he obviously knows what he is doing. Make sure to clean all surfaces thoroughly with non metallic tool - I used a bamboo skewer. The most difficult part is to remove the old seal, but when you have the right tool, it's not so bad. I used a paint can opener that is available at home center for a dollar or even for free. That opener has a hook which you can pry the old seal out with. The first loaf I baked after repair came out with black stain around the shaft - I guess it was the last of rust and grime from the old seal, but all subsequent loafs were nice ... MoreI ordered just the seal but received a complete set with clips and washers - nice surprise. Overall, I am very happy and glad I could prolong the life of my breadmaker for another year (I hope). We use the machine 4-5 times a week and original seal berelly lasted a year.
DON'T BUY THIS! The gluten-free cycle cannot be programmed with loaf size or crust color. I bought the first unit at Walmart. After using it for a month or so, I found that the gluten free cycle was not functional. Too late to return to Walmart. Cuisinart customer service charged me $10 replacement fee, and I had to mail them the cord cut from the defective unit, additionally paying for the postage for the cord. They sent me a new unit which… also had a non-working gluten free cycle. I went through the same cord-sending process and subsequently, received the third unit. You guessed it: no working gluten free cycle. No refund available either by this time. I have to pack up the whole unit, sent it using the free return label (oh, free label?! ), and they will mail me ... MoreDON'T BUY THIS! All this will take 15-20 business days. Long waits on the phone, nobody checking the third unit before sending it to me, visits to post office, UPS office…All a waste of time and energy and money. Cuisinart is no longer the producer of quality products, it seems. Entropy wins again.
