I have used this twice and it failed. It just won't grind or chop. My husband tried to troubleshoot it with the catalog, to no avail. He wanted to call Cuisinart and they wanted to charge him $5 for a phone call. (!!) It's not the money but the principle! I used this twice and we just threw it out. This happened today and then I got a chance to write a review the same day. Kismet!

I purchased this to compliment my Cuisinart Custom 14 Cup food processor which did not include a small bowl. Love this little worker in the kitchen. It even has a well on the lid to prepare small batch vinaigrettes. It is perfect for small jobs. It doesn't take up too much space. Another reviewer claimed it is very loud, I didn't find it to be loud at all. Easy to set up, easy to clean. I do enjoy the blade lock feature. I am sure I will use it more often than my large Cusinart Custom 14 Cup Processor.

This mini chopper is lightweight but sturdy, does not jump around. Easy to assemble, operate, clean and store. I love the little well with small holes in the lid as this feature is great for making vinaigrettes or for recipes that require slowing adding a liquid. Powerful but fairly quiet when using. The blade lock feature works great, nice!
I've had a large Cuisinart food processor for about 30 years. It's perfect for all sorts of prep, and still going strong, but it's quite heavy so it lives on the counter. But I have limited counter space and I've wanted a lightweight, smaller processor for a long time. This chopper totally fits the bill when I have only small amounts to process. An unexpected plus is that the top ("bowl" and its lid) attaches to the bottom securely, so I can store it on a lower shelf and lift it very easily by the handle when I want to use it. The motor speed seems a bit like my spice grinder. Quick and easy to clean, too. This is a small but very powerful chopper. I bought it so I wouldn't have to get out my full-size food processor just to chop an onion or other small items. I like that the blade stays in place when you are emptying out the bowl. I have an old mini chopper but the bowl is smaller which is another reason I purchased this one.
Have been using this chopper almost every day. Very convenient and easy to use. Clean up is easy as well. Just the right size for every day use. As an Asian, I like using fresh whole shrimp. I separate the head of the shrimp which I grind at the chopper. I use this when I sauté and outcome is delicious. This is the reason I bought this chopper. This is the best equipment I bought for my kitchen aside of course from my air fryer
Very happy with the new Cuisinart Chopper. Lighter than the older model but chops things up quite well and very evenly. Easy to use and clean. It’s just the right size for smaller jobs that you don’t want to have to get the monster food processor out for.
Ordered off Amazon, price happy. Size is perfect for my needs. Function is excellent. I gave 4 stars, would have given 5 stars if it had a feed tube . I grind and chop a lot of nuts and spinach, they fill the bowl and brake down to nothing so refill is over and over. It would be nice to be able to get a full bowl of finished product before opening. I will probably upgrade to the larger unit.
I had a vintage kitchenaid i bought for 5 dollars at goodwill that performed better and more reliably than this did. If you're gonna be making a lot of stuff, just splurge and just get a bigger, better quality cuisinart. if you're only chopping small things like nuts and seeds, go to the grocery store and get a Krups coffee grinder. dont waste your money on this. overly designed lid-locking system for such a small chopper and the locking mechanism for the blade is confusing and seems unnecessary too. Also its definitely not 4 cups of usable volume, more like 3/3.5 cups.
