Cuisinart - Express Oven Air Fryer

So when I first bought this oven months ago, I was excited to have all these amazing features in one unit! Especially, the air fryer and convection oven! Well, I deleted my first 5 star review because this unit must have a major flaw that has not been recalled yet…. After a few weeks to about a month, I started having issues setting the temperature on the unit or picking the setting, it wouldn’t let me select what I wanted! I called got in touch with cusinart, and their amazing customer service sent me a new unit. Well fast forward a couple months after I got the brand new replacement and it’s DOING the SAME thing!!! Yes, same exact issue! I’m reached out again and they are sending me a replacement again, but o won’t hold my breath! Burns Everything Without Cooking! Feels Cheap!

I really wanted to like this air fryer/toaster over... it's the only (supposedly) premium-brand "combo" model I found that fits on my 18" wide counter. This unit ***BURNS*** everything I've tried to heat up in it without cooking/heating up the middle. I've even tried turning the temp 25 degrees lower as some other reviews suggests. No effect. Try to reheat or cook frozen pizza... outside is burnt to a crisp in a few minutes while the inside is still raw. Burned the English muffin I tried to toast in about a minute. No matter how you adjust time or temp... it has only one result... burned to a blackened crisp and raw in the middle. Besides wanting an air-fryer, I bought this to replace an otherwise perfect Cuisinart toaster oven I bought in 2018. My old toaster oven was built like a tank, the door was heavy and the closer felt secure, the buttons and knobs felt like solid, premium, high-quality controls. The metal/aluminum this air-fryer is constructed of is obviously much thinner to the point of feeling like a cheap tin soda can. The door is unusually lightweight and very loose... it does not feel like it's securely closed. If there even is a spring in the hinge (it's hard to tell) it is very low quality. And the control knob is the WORST... it is loose and wobbly and feels like cheap extremely low-quality junk or toy I would expect from a Walmart/Amazon no-name knock-off brand. I can totally understand how it's going to break very quickly as MANY other reviewers have experienced. Cuisinart really and obviously sold out on this one. Extremely disappointed. This is getting returned as I search for a higher-quality model that fits in my small space. May never buy another Cuisinart appliance again if this is the direction they've taken.

Cuisinart Digital Airfryer Toaster Oven

I purchased this oven as an upgrade from the previous Cuisinart model I owned. I was a little leary after reading some of the reviews but went forward with the purchase anyway. When reading the instructions and applying the functions on the oven at the same time I found the oven operation to be quite simple. Using a oven thermometer to compare the ovens temperature digital display to the ovens actual temperature I found the actual oven temperature to be 25 degrees lower than the ovens digital reading. Knowing that I adjust my desired oven temperature accordingly. I also reduce the cooking time that is listed in the directions of prepared food as the efficiency of the toaster oven surpasses my convection range oven therefore taking less time to cook/bake. Im a “senior” and not a tech whiz and did not find the ovens operation to be difficult once I understood it by reading the instructions while trying the functions at the sane time. I use the toaster oven almost daily and have not experienced any deficiencies or defects in this toaster oven. Im completely satisfied. Good job Cuisinart.

Disappointing.

I am quite disappointed. One of the major reasons I purchased this was because of the review below. I got rid of all my non stick cookware for health reasons. The air fryer was not on display at my local Myer, so I trusted the review. I find the inside of the oven has non stick surfaces which are easy to clean, but I don't want non stick in my home. The air fryer also gets very hot and heats up my kitchen as it doesn't have good insulation. I should have just used my normal oven. Not happy. Electronics not good

I had this Toaster Oven for less then 2 years and I just replaced it. Several things I did not like about it. It was not easy to change if you selected the wrong mode. Had to hold the main button down to get it to reset. Then the oven would not shut down immediately after it finished it took a while until it would cool down and go off. The dial was super sensitive. It worked alright at first then it became very hard to set. Like another reviewer said it would jump around all over the place. If I was trying to set it for bake - 5 minutes it would go from 3 minutes to 8 minutes then to a hour. Had to play around with it to finally get it to the right amount of time, very frustrating. Why make something that doesn't have a regular OFF switch? I would often just unplug the whole thing to get it to stop, and after doing this when I plugged it back in, it would go back to where it was instead of clearing out the whole memory. I would not recommend this product because the electronics are bad and it is poorly designed.

My dreams have come true

This replaced our standard toaster oven (we never had or needed an air fryer) and I'm so pleased that I can use it like a standard convection oven. I can fit a whole 9inch cake pan or pie dish in it! I can use it to bake a casserole without waiting for the full sized oven to heat up! I can roast a chicken! (a small one, covered in foil so the skin doesn't burn on top) Also love the dehydrate function! Selected this model to fit on the small corner counter space and it works great. The only way I could love it more is if I could fit two cake or pie pans at once. (would be even taller, with two racks) I have noticed that sometimes if I'm cooking something quite juicy, liquid will leak out from the lower left corner on to the counter but its not a huge flood, 1 paper ... MoreThis replaced our standard toaster oven (we never had or needed an air fryer) and I'm so pleased that I can use it like a standard convection oven. I was satisfied and waited a while to review this product, until now, after perhaps a year from using it, I noticed how the grease started filtering through the glass door, and there’s no way to remove to clean it, therefore when I cook, it starts smelling like burn oil and smoking more than usual. Also the cook temperature suggested is not accurate, cook 25 degrees lower for better results, otherwise it will burn your food. In less than two years, the display works from time to time and the buttons to make the selection for bake, air fry, etc, does not work, I have to unplug it and wait a while to see if it will let me start cooking. Arrived on time and well packed. Set-up did not take long. First test was Toast - surprisingly good outcome, but the process to change setting and therefore outcome was not, for me, very intuitive. Soon discovered the light did not stay on for very long. I am sure it saves power but it is frustrating. Perhaps will be less of a problem after more use (6 week so far) The trays are a bit dated and we made the mistake of placing the crumb tray in dishwasher and found out the surface is easily stripped of coating if something rubs against it, especially the top tray. Air-fryer functionality is very good, but the navigation for other functions is not intuitive. When toasting there seems to be a slow build up in the color and then a rush to the finish. The best appliance in my kitchen!

I’ve only had the Cuisinart AirFryer Toaster Oven for a week, but it has become my favorite appliance in the kitchen! I bought the digital model and it’s really a workhorse. So far I’ve toasted bagels, toast, baked a meatloaf, grilled steaks, and used the Airfryer for appetizers and vegetables. I love that I don’t have to heat up my regular oven (which takes 25 min just to heat to the right temperature) and cooking times are greatly reduced. Toast, bagels, meats, everything all come out perfect! I admit, I was intimidated at first because I’m adequate with digital but definitely NOT an expert. The controls are easy to use and the instructions in the How To Use booklet are great. There are pictures along with explanations and tips. We also have been making our own decisions on time and temperatures due to some burned or over cooked items cooked according to the manual. The last thing is once the timer is done the unit continues to run for a prescribed time till it turns off automatically. We would like a way other than pulling the plug to short out that sequence. Last if you are reading this to the end, we finally gave into all the hype about air fryers. To us it is just a glorified toaster oven with a convection fan added in.
