Have had 2 of these. Both suffered from same malfunction. Kettle will turn on but then beep and turn off. Gets progressively worse until it won’t boil at all. Each one failed after about 18 months. In total it was 2 kettles in 3.5 years which is just outside of warranty period. Very disappointing for such an expensive product

This was a replacement purchase for the same kettle that has lasted over 8 years, the old one worked fine but the lid no longer opened without help. I use filtered water which I’m sure has helped its longevity. I would not have bought any other brand or model, the new model has less temperature settings but has 85-100c which covers everything. The outer stays clean, is easily wiped and never scratches or peels, It is the best kettle on the market, though not the cheapest but the quality is well worth the cost and I hope this one lasts as long as the previous one.
