I bought one of these routers, and it roved to have a maximum throughput of only 6Mbps. I returned the item. The returns department agreed the device was faulty and provided a replacement.The replacement has exactly the same problem. Avoid.

This is something that I found out after I bought this.I thought any modern router would support AES but this one only supports TKIP.You can pick WPA3 but then old devices such as printers won't work.Worst of all, this router randomly drops machines that have been connected for some time.So every once in a while, your phone, tablet, or PCs get disconnected and using the same password doesn't work.You have to reboot the router and reconnect.This is a total waste of money.

Really happy with the router as it is quite easy to set up with the app. takes out the hassle of logging in to a computer. App makes it easier to manage the devices connected. Love the parental control function that can be set up easily via the app too. Signal strength is good through out house.

I bought this router to replace the one provided by Vodafone.Setup was relatively easy and wifi speeds are goodHowever... this router has constantly restarts daily , and sometimes it gets stuck in a restarting cycle that can last over an hour.I have done some research, and this is a known issue with DLink - with no solutions.I have upgraded (even tried downgrading) the firmware, and wasted much time altering the settings trying to find a fix.I am now considering throwing it in the bin and reconnecting my vodafone router

Great Router for my needs. Works extremely well and was so easy to set up.I purchased it and then read the reviews after (backwards I know) and there were several comments about Samsung tablets not connecting. I have a Samsung tablet and phone and both connected first go without issue and have had no problems at all with random disconnections etc.
It reboots quite often when connecting with the Samsung tablet, and just don't know why. The diagnostic logs are not easy to understand. Occasionally it can't connect to iPhones, or the connection keeps dropping off even though I have full bars of coverage.It doesn't record the username and password of the NBN account sometimes and not sure if this is related to the NBN time out. Lots of unknowns.The GUI is easy to use, and installation is easy. The design is good for either putting on the desk or mounting on the wall. The operating temperature is not hot.
Terrible device, took it back, did not work, no connectivity. Didn't help that it had been returned by a previous purchaser and put back on the shelf.
I have 100% exactly the same issue with this router, regarding "Not working well with Samsung Tablet", that user {Giant Geek} wrote four months ago.I have tried every possible configuration in the router admin console.I have tried all troubleshooting steps suggested by many users in D-Link forum, that have reported the same issue.The outcome is still the same: I connect the Samsung Tablet to the router's wi-fi and a few minutes later the router reboots. And it goes like this cycle for as long as I try to keep the Samsung Tablet connected to the wi-fi. As soon as I disconnect the Samsung Tablet, there are no reboots from the router.
