I recently purchased a generation black macka and its a awesome rod, feels very light a crisp to use with quality components the only downside is i had to learn how to cast again due to this rod loading up very easily and sending my lures into the mangroves, im in the process of upgrading my other rods to the generation black range, i paired this rod with a aird x 3000 reel with 20lb braid and use it for mangrove jacks.

Excellent, sensitive rod with tonnes of backbone. I will be using this rod targeting big fatties and snapper on light gear this comming season.
Absolute A grade service from the guy at fishing tackle shop. And the rod is also good for its intended purpose of a multi piece rod to fill in time on the trout stream where i go hunting.
Excellent rod. Very light and well balanced. Fast delivery and good pricing.
It a good rod , Previous rod is 6 ft and now this rod is 7 ft .. Get a huge snappers .. Good fight ... love to see the bending are the upper column of the rod .Light weight .. ..
love everything about this for fishing - definitely on the heavier side.Be aware if buying though that the two parts are not equal in length and rod storage will need to accommodate a longer section.
This rod casts superbly, which is just as well because you'll only get a day or so of use out of it before it breaks as you're casting it.When mine broke after a few days of use I thought it was an anomaly. Just one of those things that happens. But I had two so I wasn't worried. My second one broke after a few hours of use.I switched to a Shimano Catana for a week or so and that was so much better. The ability to cast a 4 gram lure and not have your rod break is highly underrated. The Daiwa was worse than useless because it looks like it will work when in fact it won't. You're better of with a handline. Get any other brand of rod instead.I know graphite rods aren't the toughest rods on the market but I've used them for years and had no trouble. For $199 each I'd ... MoreThis rod casts superbly, which is just as well because you'll only get a day or so of use out of it before it breaks as you're casting it.When mine broke after a few days of use I thought it was an anomaly. Geelong Nth best BCF by far, great service!I'm super happy with my new TD Scratchy, well worth the retail price ( got this on sale for $139 so even better value) matched with a TD Freams 2500, rod is super light and casts like a bullet and has a beautiful action.
