incredible rod!!!
1 May 2024
This rod is amazing, I got it to be a little bit of a heavier lure rod and it works great for heavy and light I have already caught heaps of fish on it and I will continue to for a very long time. (I had the old version) but it wouldn't make a big deal if it was the new one or not.... Show more

It’s ok only. Wind wrap prone.

The tip of the 702 lfs is not stable on rebound the rod is not crisp enough for me to jerk bait I do not get enough feeling in the tip with soft plastics I resell on marketplace. I get frequent line wraps around the guides. Please on the next revision Daiwa use Fuji k guides.... Show more

Ok for single use

This rod casts superbly, which is just as well because you'll only get a day or so of use out of it before it breaks as you're casting it.When mine broke after a few days of use I thought it was an anomaly. Just one of those things that happens. But I had two so I wasn't worried. My second one broke after a few hours of use.I switched to a Shimano Catana for a week or so and that was so much better. The ability to cast a 4 gram lure and not have your rod break is highly underrated. The Daiwa was worse than useless because it looks like it will work when in fact it won't. You're better of with a handline. Get any other brand of rod instead.I know graphite rods aren't the toughest rods on the market but I've used them for years and had no trouble. For $199 each I'd ... MoreThis rod casts superbly, which is just as well because you'll only get a day or so of use out of it before it breaks as you're casting it.When mine broke after a few days of use I thought it was an anomaly. Perfect bream rod!
23 August 2024
I've been using the TD Black series of rods for a few years now and the 23 update is the best of the lot. Unbelievable sensitivity all the way down the blank, perfect for working soft plastics, the 1-3kg rods cast 1/16th ounce jig heads an absolute mile. Can't fault this rod one bit and can't recommend anything else at this price point, you won't be disappointed!... Show more

Wrong advertising be careful, and confirm at store

Ordered 7ft 2” x2piece rod, 1.5-3kg when i arrived it was a one piece. No good for me, had to settle for a 6ft10” 2 piece, 1.5-4kg. Could have been a real sticky situation if i was only after the one i really wanted!, and not able to vary my rods action. Slightly stiffer in flicking out soft bodies... Show more
