This reel is a piece of art, like an Italian sports car, but truly a beast. The 10000 handles 50lb AJ's like know other spinning reel I a have used. I can only compare it to older Stellas that I own. It exceeds them in every way.

This reel is super smooth, looks sexy, nice and light, feels great and has tons of power. This is my first high end reel. I have always purchased reels in the $250 range. They always work well but they never last and I need something to handle bigger fish for offshore fishing. I spooled it with 55 pound Daiwa Saltiga boat braid and with a backer I have around 500 yards on. Will be able to catch any thing offshore around NJ and NY. I let my buddy use it to reel in a 70lbs yellow fin and he couldn’t stop saying how smooth it was and how powerful it was. I couldn’t be happier with this reel and I have it paired with a Shimano Terez spinning rod. I highly recommend the combo for an awesome do anything rod and reeling on a boat, and it is a super light combo.
All i can say is WOW! Absolutely a solid incredible built reel. So smooth and powerful, you could pull a car off the ocean floor hahaha. Not to mention how good looking it is. I purchased a 14K also and have them paired on Zenaq Tobizo rods ! If you are in the market and on the fence i would say go for it !!
So i own the 10k 14k and now the 18k. These are fantastic reels and the quality is insane! If you are on the fence about the new 2020 Saltiga’s i would say do not hesitate. Yes they are expensive but i feel like they will last a really long time if you take care of them properly. I love Shimano and i own a few but at this point i am a Daiwa super fan !!!!
Boated 280lb BlueFin on this reel, smooth as glass, as good as a spinning reel can be. When you only accept the best Daiwa Saltiga is the only option.
Looks great not heavy feels great smooth didn't have a chance to use it yet. But will see very soon. Kind of pricy but I always tell people you pay for what you get and this reel is top of the line. If you're a real heavy fishermen I would recommend this reel.

Received my reel less 3 days to Baltimore MD.This reel is a work of art, the attention to details are amazing. I choose this reel over the 2015 Dogfight version because of its unique colors combination. I owned a 2019 Stella 14000, side by side the Daiwa is much better in quality despite it's 5 years older in technology.
