Cute and Comfy!

Okay, these are my first snowboarding boots and I LOVE them. They were comfy straight out of the box, and are so cute to boot (pun definitely intended). I love the double boa which allows for really precise adjustments that are quick and easy to do in gloves. My feet were warm and happy, and I felt a lot more responsiveness of my board with these boots than with the ones I'd borrowed from a friend. They're also incredibly lightweight which is a win for me.

Excellent performance, warmth, and look

I was nervous to purchase these boots without reviews, but am so glad I took the chance! These are my first with the double BOA system and the support was fabulous. The inserts are warm and comfortable with an Achilles support built in, which provided incredible responsiveness with position shifts. I was able to stay out longer without needing time to warm up or readjust my boots.

Good boot. Comfy out of the box

Very comfortable out of the box with a mid stiffness. I’d say a 5.5/10 in flex. I get a little bit of calf bite with these but I’m sure that’ll go away once they’re broken in. Nice boots. Overall build seems like it’ll last. Fits a tiny bit small. I’m usually tight but riding in a 10 and too loose in a 10.5 but with these the 10.5 fits snug and tight. So consider a half size up if you’re in between sizes.

Great boots! (Size 12)
28 January 2022

Size 12 BootI like these boots a lot! They look sharp and very comfortable. The fur in the ankle cuff is a great touch and the velcrow allows for a secure fit. These are my first pair of Step Ons and I'm never going back! You can remove the heel clip if you still want to use these boots with traditional bindings. The reason I'm giving 4 stars is for the reasons below.- Made for wide feet. I have narrow feet so there's a little play in the toe and heel box.- Not enough forward lean. My last boots had a lot more forward lean. It allowed me to squat and dig into carves more effectively.- The BOA system tightens great at the top around the ankle but the foot section does not tighten as much as I'd like. I tighten it until my fingers hurt and still leaves wiggle room.

Great first day but issues on days following
1 March 2023

Fit great right out the box and had a tremendous first day with them at Meadows. Mid/stiff flex is on point for charging big lines up top. But noticed a pretty sharp pain in my right ankle the second day with them. Figured it was a teething issue being new boots, so I got a slight heel lift to put my ankle bone in a different spot, but it only seemed to get worse. Consensus is that the section where the J bar is in the inner part of the boot was sticking out more than it should, which made for the discomfort. Shame I had to warranty.

Great looking Step On Boots with compromised BOA system
15 March 2021

DC Control Boa Step On Snowboard Boots are the best looking Step On boots for the season in my opinion. Nevertheless, the dual zone BOA coiler doesn't seem to work very well. The boots outsole is identical with Burton Step on boots offering. The boots upper however, is uniquely DC and looks more sporty and hip. The overall fit and the lining is identical with DC Control BOA non step on.The problem with this boots lies on the dual zone BOA system that doesn't tighten very well compared to Burton boots. It took incredible amount of effort to twist the coilers and the metal wire is digging against the boots material. Despite that, the boots do not feel as snug and secure as a conventional boots with dual zone BOA system (e.g. Non step on DC Judge is easily far more ... MoreDC Control Boa Step On Snowboard Boots are the best looking Step On boots for the season in my opinion. Love these Boots! DC Rocks!
12 February 2023

I love these boots!!! Warm and comfortable. Received them a couple of days ago and I rode all day today in them. I am a size 6 or 6.5 depending on the shoe brand. I have a medium width foot. I bought these in a 6.5 and they fit perfect. They're super cute too! I love that DC and Burton collaborated to give different boot options for the Burton Step-On Bindings.

Not for these feet!
13 March 2021

I was excited about getting these as a birthday upgrade from my 4 season old Ride Jackson's this year. However to my disappointment, they did not live up to what I was expecting or needing for an upgraded snowboard boot. My foot is skinny, long, and flat. YThese boots are made for Fred flinstone foot. So I you have wide, thick, with a high arch, these boots may be for you. I could not get these boots tight enough around my feet, even with the upgrade to the double boa. There seemed to be a lot of boot bulk that gets in the way of being able to tighten the boot efficiently. The bulky material binds on itself and can only be tightened to a certain point, which was still too big for my skinny foot and ankle. The same could be said for the Iiner tightening laces system. ... MoreI was excited about getting these as a birthday upgrade from my 4 season old Ride Jackson's this year. I am excited for the day when the inner liner is also a boa system. Boa rules! The liner laces kept getting loose when moving around and the upper Velcro strap was very long which went past the Velcro attach area. Ok enough details... it comes down to the boots just didn't work for my body. I love dc boots and shoes, their style etc. One correction that does need to be made, imo, is the flex rating on the site. They are touted to be an 8 out 10, meaning dang stiff. But they seemed more like a 5 - 6 to me. I tried them on for an hour in the house, and I was already seeing creases on the outside material in ankle / instep area (I bought the grey suede color). So it seemed they could flex up quite a bit after a few days on the mountain. Overall build quality and style are outstanding, and prob would be bomb park boots.

Super Comfy!!
14 December 2022

I just upgraded to these boots from some 32 boots that were about 7 years old. These DC judge boots are levels above my old 32 boots. Loving the boa lace system. The lining is nice and warm. I wear a size 9.5 shoe and bought these in a 10.5. I tried on the size 10 boots but they were a little too tight. I am hoping the 10.5 dont pack out too much and create too much room. I have flat feet and there is about an 1/8" from my toes to the edge of the boot.

Way more comfortable than the Burton Photons! Worth every $
11 December 2020

I have had 2 different sets of Burton Step-on boots - the Photons and Raiders. Both produced hot spots (pain points) on outside of foot within about 2 hours of straight riding. These DCs do not produce hot spots!!!Make sure to order these 1/2 to 1 whole size bigger. Burtons runs small and so do these - I am a 9.5 to 10 in most shoes - I ordered 10.5 to be safe and they fit perfect! These boots are a bit wider than the Burtons especially in the front of boot where is counts with step-ons.They do take about 4-6 hours to beak in and start feeling real Koosh!Rode them for 4 hours straight (no break/rest) and did NOT get hot sports on outside of foot!!!Thanks DC for doing what burton could not, make a boot for step-ons bindings that does not produce hot sports ... MoreI have had 2 different sets of Burton Step-on boots - the Photons and Raiders.
