De cecco has the best quality pasta. Tastes good, perfect texture and hard to overcook. More pricey than other brands but worth it.
I orderd 2 and got one. Very satisfied with everything else.However, as a German who is environmentally conscious, there is one thing I would have to criticize: Why do 5 FedEx couriers have to come because of this small order? Can you not bundle this in the central? (Are only unnecessary gasoline costs and environmental pollution).
iherb is having de cecco at a good price, so I also stock up on penne rigate. I know the quality of de cecco so it is just a matterf of what shape pasta i want to go with my sauce.
Glad to see this product back on shelves after disappearing in the spring. I like De Cecco because unlike MANY other brands, the pasta does not turn to mush if the cooking time is not exact. There is a bit of wiggle room in the timing to allow you to get the texture exactly how you want it to be. I particularly like the penne rigate shape for its versatility and hoe evenly it cooks.
Excellent taste and quality! The one problem was that the cooking time wasn't printed anywhere on the package. I found on the internet to cook nine minutes for "al dente", but I'd say that makes it more like "al dentist", because it's still very hard after nine minutes. I've been cooking it twelve minutes and getting a nice texture with a little firmness but not too much.
A weekly staple in our house. Always tastes good. I got it first because it is what my Italian friends get, and I can see why.
