Despite making the adjustments. It was not easy to set up. The instructions are poor, unless you are well versed in deciphering hieroglyphs. I find written instructions to be more effective. It's a pain to descale. I live in a soft water area, I live alone so it doesn't get used that much and already have had to descale it. This takes a very long time and is very time consuming. Its now making a weird noise and I'm waiting for Delonghi to get back to me. It is overpriced for such mediocre or even poor performance.

I would not recommend ordering this machine it is not worth the money. I'm so disappointed. I did a lot of research before buying it. As a family we prefer Latte style drinks, so this machine appeared to be perfect... How wrong was I........I have had 3 Delonghi magnifica Evo's in less than 1 month. The first machine worked okay for 3 weeks .After which the descaling light came on (poor in its self after only 3 weeks use) I followed the instructions to descale the machine. After this process the machines stopped working. Warning lights kept appearing . I spoke to Delonghi customer service who after trouble shooting and having me do various things they concluded my machine was faulty .They advised me to return it to John Lewis. Needless to say I'm not prepared to waste my time and have a forth machine. I am also extremly dispointed with the complicated returns system at John Lewis. They would not send me a third replacement machine straight away as their returns centre had not processed the second coming back , there is quite a delay. Very poor when its not the customers fault. I would be happy to discuss the issues with someone higher up in John Lewis.

We have been very pleased with the quality of the coffee made although it would have been nice to have an americano setting. The instructions for setting up and use are very inadequate. The quick start guide would have been better with some words or better pictures. The warning lights are faint and not self explanatory. As I said, once you have mastered it, it is easy to use and makes good coffee.

Been using this coffee machine for a couple of weeks now, with the digital display it is very easy to use, with a touch of a button I have the perfect coffee of my choice. It is very compact and fits into my kitchen very well, it is also very easy to take apart for cleaning and refilling of beans, milk and water. The menu is set within the digital display and is very easy to change the settings for each cup if needed.
I have had a number of problems with the machine General Alarm being activated when attempting to do a decalc operation which seems to be every 2 weeks and to me excessive. I have had it serviced twice and it requires another service as the general alarm keeps activating at the start of a decalc. I have also reported this to the support people twice since I have owned the machine. Between decalc operations the machine seems to work well and makes a nice coffee.
I bought this machine for my mum as it was her 60th birrhday and we wanted to treat her. She is a coffee lover and this machine was perfect. She absolutely loves it. It is so simple to use. She is very happy with it. Definitely recommend.

Absolutely woeful coffee at this price point, lukewarm at best and the milk “frothing” is just 50% cold bubbles with no ability to adjust to your preference.
I've been researching and wanting an at home coffee machine for quite some time and it's safe to say it's been worth the wait. Really easy to use once it's been set up & makes the most delicious fresh coffee. I love the fact it has various recipe options to choose from & the sleek black design fits perfect in my kitchen. The frothing system is really great, creating the perfect silky foam. I've really enjoyed using this machine and even more being able to have the perfect coffee every morning. I would highly recommend this machine to anyone.
2nd m/c in a week, 1st one didn't recognise the milk carafe, so no latte option, JL replaced within a week - 2nd m/c same issue. Bought for the milky coffees.
