Dell KM7120W Wireless Keyboard /mouse
The keyboard is the main input peripheral used by all computers. The keyboard allows for user input and interaction with the computer. Much like many typewriters the keyboard has all the letters of the alphabet, numbers 0 – 9 and additional special operational keys, e.g. for adjusting the volume or going to your inbox directly. There are three different connection types: – USB is the most modern. You can recognize it by the rectangular connector. – PS/2 connectors are round. This type of connection is fairly commonly used by PC’s. – Bluetooth is another modern (wireless) connection method.

Good feel key board and mouse - keyboard may be too small for some but handy on portability and stowing away when not required. Can be connected to three different (blue tooth/WiFi) devices with easy switching on both key board and mouse. Long battery life (36 months - stated but not tested). Programable keys and button on mouse but the key board in not adjustable in terms of tilt. No back light(that I could find.) Very comfortable to type with and scalable if you require extra features.

Got it since more or less a month and it's great for switching between devices but very bad for key response. As a graphic designer I use hotkeys ctrl / alt / shift a lot when working with graphic softwares and the responce is very bad. If I don't press one of them within more or less 10 seconds I need to press it twice "to activate it". It feels like the keyboard somehow disconnects from the computer. As a result, if for instance I need to ctrl + right click something, it ends up rightlicking only and that results in other operations that I then need to fix and go back to the previous state and after pressing twice the crtl key it works. Normal letters seem t be fine maybe but it's hard to say since the hot keys are usually the first ones to use in any case.Hope ... This is really a good keyboard and mouse but misses one thing to make it perfect for the office/programmer.Highlights: The mouse is by far one of the most ergonomic mice I've ever used, love the adjustable DPI and curve and quiet buttons. The keyboard is good and compact and love the build quality and feel of the keys which are spaced well. Also love the one dongle to 6 devices, can't comment on battery life yet.Cons: What would make this perfect is if Dell added fn+left=home and fn+right=end like the XPS (& I hope the other keyboard lines?) If you use this keyboard for work, that key combo is a lifesaver especially if you are a programmer - so Dell if you are listening, please add this in as a firmware update please! Be warry, this keyboard use keys F10, F11, F12 for Printscreen, Home and insert respectively. They need to be activated by using the Fn Key to swap from one to the other.I didn't pay attention to that and I would have love to take the KM7121W instead.Other than that the quality and feeling is absolutely great.
These are great devices with only a couple of small gripes that have caused the less than 5 star review. My first attempt to connect to my Windows PC using Bluetooth was unsuccessful (although the Wifi dongle worked perfectly) and ultimately I gave up and just used the dongle. Bluetooth on my Android devices has worked great though.I've also noticed that the extension feet on the keyboard (to give a more upright keyboard) are a bit unstable in comparison to most keyboards and are easily knocked back into place by accident, so I've ended up leaving them down. The keyboard naturally has quite bit of slope, so I've become used to the lower setting.
For the price, especially on a special, its a great deal. Usually I dont settle for less than the top of the line stuff for these, and these are not. But they are very much pleasant to use and good enough. If i were to nitpick, i did notice some lag at times in bluetooth mode. Would have preferred a physical toggle to switch between devices, mouse could be more ergonomic
Transitioning from a laptop to a dual screen I found other keyboards too big and clunky. This keyboard is perfect, just the right size, smooth typing! It's great that with a click I can switch to use the mouse (and the keyboard) with either the PC or the laptop. Highly recommend for those who like a compact laptop like keyboard.
keyboard and mouse look good; mouse had a good feel. The keyboard keys are soft with limited tactile feedback (other than hitting extension of key). After some use the response time between key press and what's seen on the screen starts to slow, and reduces the feel of a responsive keyboard. The function keys can't be used without the function key, which is annoying when working in IT or you use excel sheets (where you use the F2 key a lot). It is a different layout to what i'm used to, so it remains compact. The arrow keys (up/down) are quite small compared to the left/right keys. My down arrow key has started to lift; and can be pushed back into its socket but does come out more than not.
This keyboard is great... BUT, I didn't allow for the function keys to be shared with other keys (eg. home/F11 and end/F12) and as someone who drives my computer using keyboard shortcuts, I should have gone with a larger keyboard... BUT, the larger Dell keyboards are wired up to a USB port and I want a clutter-free desk space. The low profile keys are excellent. Aesthetically, the keyboard is great and the compact size is neat (except for the shared function keys and the arrow keys are small and jammed into the mix).If wireless and compact and good looks are important then this keyboard is a winner.Last niggle... I did not want the mouse that came with this combo and had no choice but to buy a separate mouse (Dell Premier Wireless Mouse WM527) which is fantastic.
Purchased to use with my work laptop for in the office and to use when working from home. Very slim and portable enough to carry in my bag between work and home. Have set it up via BT on the laptop and my home computer, the switching between the two is pretty seamless and there are no issues with it, but I tend to prefer having two separate ate keyboards because I have space. If space was an issue and I did needed to use this pair for two, I'd happily do it, because switching is very seamless. The one minor issue is the up and down arrows took a little while to get used to because of how small they are, but it's something you get used to.
