I purchased this U2419H monitor primarily for use in portrait orientation, which makes it almost exactly the same height as the Dell U4320 display next to it,Mechanically it is sturdy, and the base supports simple rotation into portrait mode. Electrically, its USB hub has all USB3 ports.The best feature of this display is the color consistency when it is rotated in portrait mode; there is no color inversion at moderate viewing angles as seen with cheaper panels.All in all, this is an excellent display with great mechanical, electrical, and viewing properties.

I REACHED OUT AND THEY SAID IT WAS DUE TO SHIPPING BUT THATS BS BECAUSE THE BOX IS IN GREAT CONDITION AND THE MONITOR WAS PACKED FINE. THIS WAS SENT TO ME IN POOR CONDITION. VERY DISAPPOINTED AND DISSATISFIED WITH THE DISHONEST AND POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE IVE EXPERIENCED. BUYER BEWARE. THESE GUYS SUCK!

This is my fifth of this type from Dell, and it's a superb choice for home/office use, including casual gaming. This one comes with a proper 150cm DisplayPort cable and upstream USB cable included, but does not come with an HDMI cable, although there is an HDMI-in port. There's also an audio line out and a DisplayPort out. There are 4 USB A ports, two on the bottom and two on the side. In each location, one of the ports is power-charging capable. For normal viewing, this is a good monitor. Color and brightness are both good. Wish it had more inputs but that is common at this price point.The backlighting is a but uneven. It is obvious when looking at an all black screen. Watching something in the dark that goes to a black screen makes it even more obvious. That doesn't distract for most viewing, though. Price was a bit high but some of that is returned via an included promotional Dell gift card I have to figure out how to spend.Would definitely recommend the monitor - just watch for a good price.
I bought two of these to set up dual monitor displays with easy hookup onto monitor arms. I love the daisy chain capability for DP. This allows me to have one cable running from my work laptop and have the display extend to both monitors seamlessly.Additionally, I have HDMI cables running from my personal desktop to each monitor. Switching between the monitor inputs to go from one or the other. I plug my keyboard, mouse and webcam into the USB ports on the monitor and use the USB output on that same monitor to feed into a simple dual USB switcher, one feeding to my desktop, the other to my laptop. Easy for me to switch these devices from work to personal and back quickly without one of those plug in switch boxes that go for $100 or so. Prior to these I had a 2015 27-inch iMac and except for the size difference, I don't feel I gave up much with these monitors.I connected these two monitors to a Mac Mini M2 Pro. Be advised that the monitors I bought are expecting either a HDMI or DP cable from the computer. The Mac Mini M2 Pro only has ONE HDMI port and NO DP port. If you are buying one of these monitors to use with a Mac Mini, then you will need an HDMI cable (not supplied with the monitor).To make both monitors work I installed one with a HDMI cable and the second monitor with a USB-C to HDMI converter, then the converter to the second monitor using a HDMI cable. If your computer has one DP port, then you can daisy chain them. In order to daisy chain these two monitors with the Mac Mini M2 Pro, I believe you need a converter to change a USB-C to DP (or a HDMI to DP) and connect that to one monitor, then you can daisy chain the two monitors together with a DP to DP cable (the DP cables are provided).There is another similar monitor to this with more connectivity ports. I suggest you talk with a B&H customer service representative to find out which is the easiest to set up with your particular computer system. The directions to dairy chain using DP cables is in the directions included with the monitor. You can also download their manual from the internet.
Overall, somewhat disappointed with this monitor. Bad refresh rate is noticeable when scrolling web pages with black text on white background and in gaming. There is noticeable ghosting/smearing. Setting the monitor to "Fast" refresh rate makes it worse. I noticed Vignetting effect right away. Black levels are pretty bad, but on par with other matte IPS displays. Hard to get monitor level due to the swivel hinge design. Would be better if it snapped in place once level. Cable management hole is a joke. If you're buying this monitor because of the "Ultrasharp" brand name, you're going to be disappointed.

I had ordered the monitor together with an Inspiron 3880 computer but the provided DP cable had no socket to connect with on the desktop unit, leaving me with only a USB cable to join the monitor to the desktop. Good overall BUT the colors aren’t great. I prefer my other P2419h to this one. It’s much more clearer and it has a true white. The U2419h I have has darker shades and it doesn’t fit visually with my 2 other Dell screen (P2419h and U2415h).I called their support, and they told me it’s normal and as design. I still think mine is broken somehow since it’s the only one with a different color temperature (even ajusting it ends up not being able to match the 2 other screen at default)I suggest staying away from the U2419H and go with the P2419H if you want Dell. Much MUCH clearer screen.Next time i’ll get something else then Dell, poor quality on a screen that cost a lot of $$.
My previous Dell Ultra Sharp Monitor was great, but it started turning itself off randomly. This was after several years of use, heavy during the pandemic shut-down. And yes, I did all the diagnostics to verify it was the monitor itself and not something else. So far, the new monitor is working fine and looks good. Every now and then it blinks off and then back on a second or two later. I think this means it is switching display modes, but it worries me every time. I fear the return of the old problem. Meanwhile, keeping fingers crossed.
