The AVR-X3700H was a great receiver, but it had the unfortunate limitation of only one HDMI 2.1 input. This receiver fixes that and has a much improved UX.Great sound, great tech overall, and easy to set up and use. Highly recommended.

The service from Denon was excellent. They shipped the product almost right away and I was supposed to get it in two days. DHL express service is less than ideal and they delayed the parcel a bit.Once I set it up, I upgraded the firmware and got Audyssey working within an hour or so(I had previous Denon products with Audyssey. I have this amp powering Klipsch surround and tower speakers and the crisp clean clear sounds and vibrant bass is very satisfying to the ears. I replaced my 80’s Harmon Kardon system and this is a step up. Technology has definitely been added and I had to learn the system and I am still learning it. However it’s an enjoyable process. It is complicated at first, but it is much easier after figuring out the app on my phone. I love that part.

I purchased this about 2 months ago when I stopped by my local hifi store. They had 1 in stock, so I bought it. I liked it. I upgraded my cables and now I LOVE it. I'm rewatching and relistening to a lot of my collection and absolutely hearing new things. It was a significant upgrade from my AVR-X2000 and worth every penny.
I like the unit , but wish I would have called and talked with a rep at world wide stereo. I would have told them the set up that I have and what I was looking for - just to see what unit they would have told me to get .The X3600H is nice - it's made for listening to movies (my opinion) - as soon as you connect everything, do the microphone sound check - go right to Disney plus - turn on a Marvel movie - ?? WOW - the crisp sound , atmos - surround, IMAX - is amazing -I have 4 towers ,front Atmos , 4 - 12" powered subs and center channel .Then you go to the radio - and it sounds like crap - you have to dive into the settings , equalizer, speakers and adjust them to make the music sound good , not great but good .HEOS is worthless (my opinion) I use "Live X ... All radio stations come in only as analog- have not found digital yet - and I have an expensive antenna up in my attics .Some things up - don't be shy - call and talk to a rep at World Wide Stereo and let them help you make the best decision for your set up - I wish that I did .
Everything I threw at it sounded great while it lasted. Love the dual sub outs. Too bad it lasted less than a year when it just stopped powering on. Pretty disappointed that holiday family movie time will have no surround sound. Bought this to enable atmos listening to replace my old Pioneer, which still works.
I decided to make a switch from the power house yamaha rxa2080.. was worried I would be dissatisfied but I was wrong. I prefer the warmer tone of denon and the UI/audyssey. Also wanted it for future proofing and the ability to turn off the internal amps to utilize my external amps better.Pros:8k 60fps and 4k 120fpsPowerful warm soundMany optionsUICons:Need to pay for app to utilize important features.. low blowSame goes for Dirac liveReference has unwanted high roll-off with no option to changeMulti eq app is hard to adjust using phone
The new AVR-X3800H is working great. I was a little disappointed that it didn't come with the manual, but by using the remote once the system was connected, the remote takes you through most of the final steps. You can always refer to the manual online for clarification.Other than that, the sound is awesome and has plenty of power to drive surround sound speakers on the Main Zone and my outdoor speakers on Zone 2 when used separately. Glad I went with Denon and used the great deal World Wide had on a refurbished unit which comes with a 1 year warranty.
Item received as promised, and works great. Remote and Audyssey calibration mic included. Paper manual wasn't included but the manual is online and easily attainable.One thing to note is that the picture of this item is wrong (shows an 8500), and the item I received is a X3800H (as assumed.)
