Excellent sound for the price - can’t go wrong.

This integrated amp is an excellent value. It has received numerous accolades from professional reviewers. It lives up to the hype. It does a wonderful job easily driving my high sensitivity Klipsch RP-600M bookshelf speakers in a large room. I do utilize a (very old) NHT sub (with its own 80W amp) connected thru the subwoofer out connection. Input is the matching Denon CD player and the BlueSound Node 2i. The sound is overall quite balanced, airy, and plenty strong. I love the tone controls which many amps have foregone. I was considering several alternatives costing 3-4 times as much, and I am very glad that I chose this unit. Now more money is left to apply to streaming services (Like Tidal) and for buying a turntable. The technology is amazing and the sound is ... MoreThis integrated amp is an excellent value. I have 2 of them in a passive bi amp setup with Fluance's reference speakers and it sounds fantastic. These amps have everything I wanted. Real buttons to contol volume and tone, lots of inputs, analog and direct mode, bluetooth, DAC, and nice look. The remote is too big and lack bass and treble controls but other than that it is a great integrated amp and very capable of delevering good sound. Having 2 of them in bi amp is amazing, lots of power reserve. I recommend this amp 100%

Important! No tape monitor button is supplied!

Since no "tape monitor" button is supplied you must hook up to a pre Amp to connect to an equalizer. Must then have a pre Amp to play my vinyls! Kind of short sided by Denon since turntables, equalizers and vinyls are experiencing a resurgence.

Just the Gamechanger I've Been Needing

I am so happy to finally be enjoying proper sound thanks to this amp. I suspected my old Yamaha receiver was holding me back, but I didn't realize to what extent. With this Denon amp, I am hearing music in a way I've never heard before. It is getting the most of my Q Acoustics speakers and really driving them. I can't believe how muscular the bass is and how I can hear the dynamics of the music in a whole new way.I especially love the analog setting for my turntable. It is a joy to listen to vinyl again. I had stopped all together because it just wasn't sounding adequate. And even mp3s sound great through the Bluetooth. I have found some inconsistency in connecting to Bluetooth, but it's pretty good for the most part. It's important to mention that this component ... MoreI am so happy to finally be enjoying proper sound thanks to this amp. I'm finding that dialogue is a lot more precise than it was before.I also love the look and feel. Some people complained about the remote being too large, but it doesn't bother me at all. I'm very happy with my purchase.

My PMA-600NE review
1 June 2022

This product worked as expected. Sound is awesome. I read online about issues with controlling volume with remote control and troubles pairing the amplifier with phones via Bluetooth. None of that turned out to be true. I used it with iPhone SE first generation and with Bose Acoustimass 3 Series IV speakers ( Passive subwoofer and 2 cube speakers ). Sounded better than my previous Onkyo CR-325. Great product.

Perfect except for volume control

What a fantastic amp. Goes so well with my Klipsch Reference speakers. I want this to be five stars. However, volume control using the remote makes for an awful everyday experience. Ease of use in controlling volume with the remote is aggravating. In short, there is no gradual way to increase volume with the remote. The sound abruptly jumps from silent to barely audible to loud (see end of review). Denon paid for a technician to look at my unit. I had to pay for shipping. After 10 weeks (yes 10 weeks), the technician said “At this time, the unit is still testing to all factory specs with no troubles found.” The technician sent it back and I'm still having this issue:1st remote click / Baseline of 37.8 to 39.2 dB / 0%2nd remote click / Same as baseleine / 0%3rd ... MoreWhat a fantastic amp. Really good price-value ratio

Price/value ratio is 5, although 4 would be more realistic.Sound is pure and simple (as all Denon amplifiers in general). If you like this kind of sound you won't be disappointed, otherwise you need EQ or set bass/treble.At this price range I don't think so is any competitor. I was thinking about Yamaha 303D, but in US the Yamaha's price is ~ 300$,currently based on these products have same price, Denon product is definitely better choice if you don't want to use WiFi.Keep in mind BT audio is better in this Denon product, Yamaha uses BT 2.1 which is more than 10years old technology! , although new BTtechnologies' bitrate is increasing, BT codec has still max around mp3 quality anyway, for everage user using it with ie. Surprised and impressed

After upgrading my cartridge (AT VM540ML), and preamp (Project Tube Box S) I felt there was still something missing in my setup. Enter the Denon PMA600ne. I did a lot of research before buying and settled on this model because of its reviews, features and price point. I also have a Denon TT so figured it’d be a nice fit. Easy set up right out of the box and the Bluetooth worked seamlessly and quickly. Honestly wasn’t expecting to hear such a drastic difference in sound quality switching from the Onkyo 9110. Bass is tighter, deeper and fatter. And the highs, which the Onkyo did not do well with, are clearer and reveal a lot more detail. Another nice thing about the unit is it made me happy with my speakers (Klipsch RP150m), too, which saves me some money by not ... MoreAfter upgrading my cartridge (AT VM540ML), and preamp (Project Tube Box S) I felt there was still something missing in my setup. I considered looking for a used vintage amp for a while but I’m glad I chose the Denon. Technology has come so far, and I really wanted Bluetooth in the amp, so it made sense. I also appreciated how Denon seems proud of and takes care to to explain their intelligent circuitry design. I’m really happy to finally be hearing my vinyl much closer to what I imagined it could sound like when I began piecing together and researching my equipment. Happy to be a part of the Denon NewEra.

Very happy

Really pleased with denon. I'm using it with Q Acoustic 3030i speakers. I was initially using Schiit Modi dac, but tried internal Dac in the PMA-600NE and I couldn't tell much difference at all. If I had one complaint it would be that there is no visual way of telling what volume is, so I just have to go by ear. Also wish that analog inputs were just labelled A1, A2 etc, instead of CD etc. But otherwise I'm happy, it plays really loud if needed. Clear sound. Highly recommended despite minor criticisms mentioned. Also Highly recommend CHT Solutions. I'll be buying from them from now on. So quick to dispatch order. Also I had questions regarding subwoofer which I intend to purchase soon and they were very helpful

I'm very happy with my PMA-600NE. I have it paired with Q Acoustic 3030i speakers and Project pro via ifi Zen phono preamp and wiim pro stremer. I also did initially have it connected to Schiit modi dac but A B teated it with internal DAC in PMA-600NE and I could hear any difference so I just now use internal DAC in the denon. Sounds clean and plays loud when I want it too. If I could make minor criticisms, all I would say is I wish visible decibels could be viewed when adjusting volume. I also would have preferred analogue inputs not to have been pre labelled, AUX 1, AU2 etc would have been better. Also, I should add that I replaced my AXA35 with the PMA-600NE, despite having paying more for the Cambridge.
