Completely Transformed my Dry Skin!

If I could only keep one item in my skincare routine, this would be it! Before taking the plunge on this product, I was already starting to see fine lines on my forehead (at 27!). I figured the lines were just part of the normal aging process and there was nothing I could do about it. Boy was I wrong! Within just a week of using this product, my skin looked super happy and hydrated. The fine lines vanished and people are constantly complimenting me on how my skin looks. I’m 30 now and people are shocked when they find out because they think I’m barely old enough to have graduated college. I love this stuff and recommend it to everyone who is struggling with dry or dry combination skin!

Dermalogica Super Rich Repair 50ml

Essential, indispensable, especially but not only in winter. FYI, I am 49 years old, with fair, sensitive, unusually youthful-looking skin - for so long as I keep on using this product! I stopped using it for a few weeks this winter and the difference was really quite marked – was like my skin had aged 10 years. I like to keep things simple; I use this at night with something lighter plus an .spf cream in the daytime. I also follow the dermalogica two-step cleansing routine: precleanse, applied with the exfoliating mitt that comes with it, followed by the ultracalming cleanser, wiped off with tissues rather than rinsed. I also do occasional Dermalogica peels.

Great for Dry Skin

This product is great for dry skin. It really leaves skin feeling moisturized and reduces flakiness. Some people have complained that it is difficult to apply, but it is no different than applying a thick zinc sunscreen that takes some time to absorb (applying to a damp face really helps). From my perspective, this product is a step up from Dermalogica's Intensive Moisture Balance Moisturizer. That said, 50 ml of this product costs double ($124 +tax) the amount of Intensive Moisture Balance ($64 +tax), and I'm not sure that this product is worth the additional cost... The product does not leave my skin significantly more moisturized than Intensive Moisture Balance. Additionally, I still wake up in the morning with dry patches and flaking skin around my mouth after ... MoreThis product is great for dry skin. If you're mindful about cost but worried about dryness, then use Intensive Moisture Balance and apply 100% pure jojoba oil on top. Jojoba is very similar to sebum (the oil your body naturally produces), so it is usually safe for people with sensitive or acne-prone skin (like myself).

Great product but BEWARE of subscribing!!

This is the absolute BEST lotion for overnight. If I have a little blemish starting to appear, it’s gone the next morning. HOWEVER- think twice about using subscribe and save. They have neglected to send my free gifts with my subscribed purchase each time. It would have been WAY better for me to purchase outright because it was sent on Black Friday and the only product I received was the moisturizer. It’s expensive enough that I would have revived free shipping regardless of the subscription. If you subscribe you lose out BIG TIME. Get the most from these expensive (but totally worth it) products by cancelling all your subscriptions and order when you need it. The subscription just gives you disappointment and extra work.

Holy Grail

This is the best moisturizer I’ve ever used!! I wish it wasn’t so expensive but I will be purchasing it as long as I can ! It makes your skin moistures without feeling heavy , thick or sticky . I definitely have soft glowy skin after using this that does not look greasy . It wears so well under my foundation everyday and my skin looks better since using this and the vitamin c serum for the last few months . I don’t usually use a full pump during the day as I feel too much comes out so I use a little less (3 mini pumps) . FYI : I’m 38 but everyone thinks I’m in my early 20’s . That’s not due to this product but this product definitely helps as I’ve been getting carded more often since using it and it really does make your skin look more youthful while wearing it .

I love this product BUT...I refuse to keep buying it

This is the BEST moisturizer I have ever used - I have chronic dry skin and especially in the winter I need this thick deeply hydrating lotion. I love it - BUT here is why I will not buy it and would encourage others to reconsider the purchase. THE DISPENSER! For something SO expensive I am so incredibly disappointed with the pump - there is NO way to really use all of the product that is in the container. I have tried to pry off the top but I can't do it. For $90 I am really disappointed in the design of this product - I truly believe we are getting ripped off and I really saddens me because I love dermalogica and exclusively use their products. Smells Rancid After Applied to Skin. YUCK!

I switched from using Dermalogica's Active Moist, a lotion I've used for 5+ years, to this product for more moisturizing action for day and night time use as I live in a very dry and hot climate (desert city). The cream does the job at keeping my skin moisturized all day without feeling greasy or experiencing any breakouts. However, the smell of the lotion turns into a rancid funky smell after it's applied to my face and I HATE IT! The funk stays with me all day. I don't think my body chemistry reacts well to this cream so I'm switching back to Active Moist. I LOVE the scent of the Active Moist cream and how it reacts to my body chemistry. I'll stick to reapplying throughout the day when needed. Lesson learned: if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

The truth!

I have been using this product for about 2 years now! I have bought 2 bottles of this product now. The first bottle was amazing never had any break outs was awesome on my dry sensitive skin and then it ran out and I bought my second bottle. I have come to believe that they switched their formula. With the second bottle I have had bad breakouts around my mouth and an itchy rash around my chin. I have had to the same skincare routine for the past 2 years and haven’t switched anything up and the only conclusion that I can come to is that this is the product that is giving me this rash. I also noticed a slight different in how strong the smell is compared to the first one bottle. I really used to love this product but something has changed.

my favorite night cream was discontinued and finding a new one is a horrible pain because i have psorasis and 2 forms of ezcema. every brand is switching to gel moisturizers and none of them work for me. my local ulta recommended this product and i was blown away. the only reason i gave 4 stars out of 5 is that i really don't like the smell, but it doesn't last thankfully. this is a really heavy moisturizer and i mean that in a good way. i put it on last night and when i woke up this morning, my face felt like i had just put it on 10 minutes ago. as much as i hate the price, i may have to just bite the dust and stick with it. my skin has NEVER felt so soft. we'll see if the signs of aging are minimized at all in a few weeks.
