I really could not believe how much this backpack can hold! To look at it at first glance I never imagined the space that it has. I was able to fit everything I needed for a weekend hiking trip last week. There is even a secret compartment to store keys and cash or card, not easy for anyone to walk past and get my valuables. I liked that I could have a space for my water bottle as well. It is super lightweight and comfortable to carry.

I wanted to love this product but sadly, it's a return. For a petit 5' tall women, the backpack did not sit snug against my spine even after adjusting all the straps. There's a void between my shoulder blade to lower back, which caused strain near my rhomboids when the backpack was loaded with heavier items. I am use to padded shoulder straps- while the shoulder straps on this Speedlte 23SL was soft and flexible, I felt like it was a bit thin, same with the hip belt. Otherwise, I like the pockets on each shoulder strap, wish there could have been two zipper pockets on the hip belt instead of one. Love that it can fit a lot of things, the front pocket is very stretchy and made of a mesh material allowing ventilation. Love the straps along the sides that allow you to ... The speed lite is a great backpack for a day trip out on the trails. The multiple options for storage give enough room for your needs. The main storage area can be expanded or collapsed and secured with strong buckles. Also has front and sign pockets for quick access. The straps on chest and waist help with securing the backpack and offering more support. Great hiking backpack

I wanted a bigger pack than my 12 liter for day hikes, but not as big as my 32 liter. This pack fit the bill and I love it! It's not too heavy and has some nice amenities. It holds my 2L water bladder and says it will hold a 3L. There is a separate space in the pack for the bladder and it is easy to weave it through the back of the pack and secure on the straps. It does not impact my wearing of the pack. The pack has a large space for the 10 essentials and a few other things. The front of the pack has an opening that is great for things you need quick access to like a map or food. The side straps pinch tight around the pack and around the 2 side pockets where you can store a water bottle or other items. I can also connect my hiking poles on the front of the pack. ... There were 2 reasons I gave it 4/5 stars: 1) No place to put my phone for quick access. There is only one pocket on the waistband, which seems to be just a little small for my iphone and no storage on the straps. 2) The waistband only has one pocket. The other side looks like a pocket, but it is not and seems like a wasted opportunity.
Have started taking more items on my hikes & this bag is the perfect size and weight, which makes this ideal to take and unpack at the other end. Quality is very good and it was comfortable to wear and carry a moderate load. Got caught in a decent shower one day and it was water resistant enough to keep the contents dry. Would recommend as a purchase.
I use this primarily for multipitch climbing and like that the hip strap is removable to make room for my harness. It’s a nice upgrade over some of the more minimal bags at this size. I wish the front outside pouch opened up completely at the top but you can still fit a guidebook easily. I added a bungee cord to gain some more utility and strap shoes or a jacket to the outside.I’m 5’7” tall since other reviewers mentioned their height.
I love this hiking pack. The colors are very appealing. It os light weight but still heavy duty. Plenty of pockets for all of your hiking gear. Narrow fit which is great. Not big and bulky. Has narrow straps as well. I definitely recommend this pack. It is wonderful
I just ordered this on line cause none in stores. I took a chance. first of all the back is very stiff and has no spine adjustment. it came way to high on my 5'8" body.secondly the bladder.sleeve inside is ok but the whe to feed your hose is very wonky. Terrible design in that it forces tube to be in center of back,hitting you.There is only one stash point on waist to put snacks in.I returned this. I was comparing with the just purchases Osprey 20 pack . The Osprey 20 has a much better feature .
We do a lot of hiking where we live and having a specific hiking bag is key. The quality is great! The best feature are the hip fins that fit perfectly around your hips giving you a more comfortable pack without all the weight hanging off your shoulders. Many compartments to carry everything you need for the perfect outdoor hike. The Deuter hiking back pack is durable and just what I needed!
When we received this we weren't exactly sure what we were going to do with it because it's for hiking. However my daughter collects 18 in dolls so we had an idea. This thing has so many pockets and it's so big and sturdy that we were able to fit three dolls on the inside and one 18 inch on the outside Plus have areas for accessories and clothing. And it fits comfortably and securely on my daughter. Very happy
