DeWalt 18V XR 125mm Brushless Random Orbital Sander (Tool Only) DCW210N-XJ

Just love this peice of kit. It is powerful and does the job well. Only downside is that the battery doesn't last long. The battery doesn't take long to charge - you can have a tea break and come back to a charged battery. If I have a big job, I charge up several batteries to get it done. This is no problem for me as I have 4 batteries and charge them up as soon as they run out.

I like very much DeWalt but... FFX sent me faulty product ( not spinning) which I have to confirm with DeWalt customer service - I have been told by DeWalt customer service to ask seller for replacement..and my NIGHTMARE started... Bought and paid for the item- 11 November 2022 and today is 28 December..I'm waiting more than 47 DAYS for replacement !!! Been told by FFX ( really disappointed customer service) that my brand new Sander will be posted Next Day Delivery DPD . Really disappointed and strange. I never had any problems with that company before only last two delivery. Hopefully I'll get my new Sander...

This sander works great. You can change the level of speed from 1 to 7 and it's so easy to find the one you need. It fits perfectly in the hand, for men and women and is comfortable to use. There's a little filter bag on the side that collects the majority of the dust that accumulates while you're sanding and it comes off very easily so it can be emptied. Everything about this sander is easy to use and it's a great option for anyone with any level of experience, from beginners to pros. I'd definitely recommend it.

Best sanderI've ever had

I love this cordless dewalt sander. When I bought it I didn't think I would need to use it as much as I did. But the capability of being able to carry it around the job and sanding off many areas has made a very powerful tool for me to have. No longer do I have to drive your cord out to just saying one small location now I can just take my cordless sander and send that would recommend to anybody how worker woodworker or whatever. Battery works good but doesn't last very long probably would need to get a second battery.

DUST, DUST, and MORE DUST!

Good ergonomics but the dust extraction is worse than useless, it's dangerous. The bag catches about 50% of the dust, the rest will form a FOG in an average room in less than a minute. O.H.S. SERIOUS Issue! Forced extraction is absolute must!

Does what it says on the tin, it sands, and very well too!

Does what it says on the tin, it Sands! it sands very well, the pads change easy and quickly, it's comfortable to use and it doesn't seem to drain the batteries, it's small comp[act, efficient, it works well. One minor downside is, considering it has an extraction bag, it does generate a fair bit of dust during operation??? maybe i need to use a vacuum??

Perfect for DIYers

Although the sander is pricey, even more so if you don’t already have a battery it is well worth it. I’ve had other cheaper brands before now and this out performs them as expected.The ability to control the speed helps out allowing you to be precise with what you’re doing.The dust collection also works well and paired with the DeWalt mesh sand paper it means there is little dust left on your work.Comfortable grip means that you can use it for long periods without noticing any discomfort. The added weight of a battery feels well balanced and doesn’t make it feel much different.Battery levels don’t get drained to much after using it. The portability factor just out weights having to work around a cable.

Quick review for one week of use.

Easy to use and portable. I have a good number of 5” R0 sanders, all plugged models from other manufacturers. This Dewalt does not connect to my vacuum hoses the same way, somewhat of a nuisance, but workable. The majority of the use will be outdoors with the bag. Trial sanding work on a small project was good. Comfortable, powerful, and best of all, portable. Good purchase.

Superb Machine

I can't recommend this sander highly enough. I spent 120.00 on the body (I have a few Dewalt batteries from their other cordless tools already) plus just over 35.00 on various sanding sheet bundles...which should keep me going for quite a while yet. With a little bit of graft, the sander and sheets basically paid for themselves on the first job I used it on - everything else now is a bonus. I've got a few Dewalt tools in T-Stak boxes and this sander is now in the 2nd box down - below my Drill combo...that says how much I think I'll plan to use it on my various jobs in the future.

Trusty sander, worth more than it's weight!

I reach for this sander every chance that I get! It works with the sanding discs and batteries that I already have - which is a nice bonus! It's great for those quick jobs when you have multiple angles to work on, but don't want to constantly re-direct your cord. I find the power to be on par with the corded models of this variety, and for a small job, the small battery works just fine. In fact, I find it balances best with the smaller battery installed. This said, I think the corded models seem a little less top heavy during use. The run time lasted for the duration most of my projects so far, but I'm not sanding a whole kitchen worth of cabinets either. Dust collection with the bag was just as good if not better than the corded version, and certainly better than ... MoreI reach for this sander every chance that I get! You can adapt this easier to a shop vac than some other brands, this has a circular opening for the dust port, and the new design the holds the dust bag in place is an improvement over previous versions, even within the Dewalt brand. I wouldn't expect this to replace your corded digital industrial sanders, but as pro carpenter and a weekend warrior, I expect to get several years of trusty service out of this tool!
